ULT For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that he became poor for your sake though being rich so that by the poverty of that one, you might become rich.
UST You should be eager to give money because you realize that our Lord, Jesus the Messiah, kindly gave up everything he had to help you. He did that even though he had very many things. He wanted to give you many things by himself giving up what he had.

8:9 The model for generous giving is the Lord himself, who was rich in the Father’s presence (John 17:5, 24) yet became poor by accepting a human existence and death on the cross (see Phil 2:6-11). By that self-giving sacrifice, he could make people rich with the blessings of salvation.
