TSNTyndale Study Notes:

5:1-32 The rest of the covenant laws expand and comment upon the Ten Commandments (5:6-21), on which they are based. Moses had first given the Ten Commandments to the people of Israel nearly forty years earlier (Exod 20:2-17).

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / quotesinquotes

לֵ֖ךְ אֱמֹ֣ר לָהֶ֑ם שׁ֥וּבוּ לָכֶ֖ם לְאָהֳלֵיכֶֽם׃

go say to/for=them return to/for=you_all (Some words not found in UHB: go say to/for=them return to/for=you_all to,tents,your_all's )

If it would be clearer in your language, you could translate this so that there is not a quotation within a quotation, as in the UST.

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / explicitinfo

שׁ֥וּבוּ לָכֶ֖ם

return to/for=you_all

The expression Return yourselves contains extra information that would be unnatural to express in some languages. If this is true of your language, you could shorten the expression. Alternate translation: “Return”
