21 I’ll display my power among the nations, and all the nations will see my judgement that I’ll put into process and how I’ll put that into action against them. 22 Then from that time onwards, the Israeli people will know that I am their god Yahweh. 23 The nations will know that the Israeli people went into captivity because of how they betrayed me with their disobedience, so I distanced myself from them and handed them over to their adversaries so that they all died in the battle. 24 When I distanced myself from them, I treated them exactly as their defilement and rebellion deserved.

25 Therefore the master Yahweh says this: Now I’ll restore Yakov’s fortunes, and I’ll have compassion on all of Yisrael’s descendants, when I act with zeal to protect my pure reputation. 26 Then they’ll bear their shame and all the treason in which they betrayed me. They’ll forget all that when they rest in their land in safety, with no one to terrify them 27 when I restore them from the people groups and gather them from their enemies’ lands, and I show myself in the sight of many nations to always do what’s right. 28 Then they’ll know that I am Yahweh their god, because I sent them into captivity among the other nations, but then I’ll gather them back to their own land. I won’t leave any of them among the nations. 29 I’ll no longer distance myself from them when I pour out my spirit on the Israeli people. That’s the master Yahweh’s declaration.”
