27.55 Mulieres multæ. Matthæus et Lucas dicunt Mariam Magdalenam a longe stetisse. Joannes vero juxta crucem, quia tanto intervallo aberat, ut juxta diceretur: quia præsto erat in conspectu ejus, et longe comparatione turbæ propioris. Possumus etiam dicere quod illæ quæ erant cum matre Domini postquam eam commendavit discipulo, abire cœperint jam, ut a densitate turbæ eruerent se et cætera quæ facta sunt longius intuerentur. Ministrantes ei. Consuetudinis Hebraicæ erat, ut mulieres de substantia sua præceptoribus suis ministrarent: quod Dominus accepit, ut exemplum daret apostolis.
