OET (OET-RV) ◙
 ⇔ …

OET-LV

Planted of_[the]_ear[fn] not does_he_hear or [the_one_who]_formed [the]_eye not does_he_see.

94:9 Note: We read one or more accents in L differently than BHS. Often this notation indicates a typographical error in BHS.

UHBהֲנֹ֣טַֽע אֹ֭זֶן הֲלֹ֣א יִשְׁמָ֑ע אִֽם־יֹ֥צֵֽר עַ֝֗יִן הֲלֹ֣א יַבִּֽיט׃
(hₐnoţaˊ ʼozen hₐloʼ yishəmāˊ ʼim-yoʦēr ˊayin hₐloʼ yabiyţ.)

Key: yellow:verbs, red:negative.
Note: Automatic aligning of the OET-RV to the LV is done by some temporary software, hence the OET-RV alignments are incomplete (and may occasionally be wrong).

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / rquestion

These rhetorical questions can be translated as statements or commands. Alternate translation: “God made ears, so he can hear. God made eyes, so he can see.” or “God made ears, so stop acting as if he does not hear. God made eyes, so stop acting as if he does not see.”
