9 And the fifth messenger trumpeted , and I _ saw a _ star out _ of the sky having _ fallen to the earth , and was _ given to _ him the key of _ the pit of _ the abyss , 2 and he _ opened_ up the pit of _ the abyss , and went _ up smoke out _ of of _ the pit , like the _ smoke of _ a _ furnace great , and was _ darkened the sun and the air by the smoke of _ the pit .
3 And out _ of the smoke came _ out locusts to the earth , and was _ given to _ them power , like are _ having power the scorpions of _ the earth .
4 And it _ was_ said to _ them that neither they _ may_ injure the grass of _ the earth , nor any green , nor any tree , except not/lest the people who not are _ having the seal of _ the _ god on their foreheads .
5 And it _ was_ given to _ them , in _ order_ that not they _ may_ kill_ off them , but in _ order_ that they _ will_ be_ being_ tormented five for _ months , and the torment of _ them is like torment of _ a _ scorpion , whenever it _ may_ strike a _ person .
6 And in the days those , will _ be_ seeking the people the death , and by _ no_ means not they _ will_ be_ finding it , and they _ will_ be_ desiring to _ die_ off , but is _ fleeing the death from them .
7 And the likenesses of _ the locusts was similar to _ horses having _ been_ prepared for war , and something on the heads of _ them were like crowns similar to _ gold , and the faces of _ them like the _ faces of _ humans , 8 and they _ were_ having hairs like the _ hairs of _ women , and the teeth of _ them like of _ lions were , 9 and they _ were_ having breastplates like breastplates iron , and the sound of _ the wings of _ them as the _ sound of _ chariots of _ horses many running into war , 10 and they _ are_ having tails similar to _ scorpions and stings , and in the tails of _ them is the power of _ them to _ injure the people five for _ months .
11 They _ are_ having over themselves a _ king , the messenger of _ the abyss , the _ name to _ him In _ Hebraios is , Abaddōn/(ʼAⱱaddōn) , and in the Hellaʸn he _ is_ having , the _ name Apolluōn .
12 The woe the one went _ away , see , is _ coming still two woes after these .
13 And the sixth messenger trumpeted , and I _ heard one voice from the horns of _ the altar the golden which before the god , 14 saying to _ the sixth messenger , which having the trumpet :
Release the four messengers , which having _ been_ bound at the river the great Eufrataʸs .
15 And were _ untied/released the four messengers , which having _ been_ prepared for the hour , and day , and month , and year , in _ order_ that they _ may_ kill_ off the third of _ the _ mankind .
16 And the number of _ the armies of _ the horsemen were two ten _ thousand of _ ten_ thousand , I _ heard the number of _ them .
17 And thus I _ saw the horses in my vision , and the sitting on them :
having breastplates fiery , and hyacinthine , and sulfurous , and the heads of _ the horses like the _ heads of _ lions , and out _ of the mouths of _ them is _ going_ out fire , and smoke , and sulfur .
18 By the three plagues these were _ killed_ off the third of _ the _ mankind by the fire , and the smoke , and the sulfur , which going _ out out _ of the mouths of _ them .
19 For/Because the power of _ the horses in the mouth of _ them is and in the tails of _ them , because/for the tails of _ them are similar to _ serpents , having heads , and with them they _ are_ injuring .
20 And the rest of _ the people , who not were _ killed_ off by the plagues these , not _ even they _ repented of the works of _ the hands of _ them , in _ order_ that not they _ will_ be_ prostrating before _ the demons , and the idols the golden , and the silver , and the bronze , and the stone , and the wooden , which neither to _ be_ seeing are _ being_ able , nor to _ be_ hearing , nor to _ be_ walking .
21 And neither they _ repented of the murders of _ them , nor of the sorceries of _ them , nor of the wickedness of _ them , nor of the the _ thefts of _ them .
