22 But you didn’t call to me for help, Ya’akov (Jacob),

≈ because you’ve grown tired of me, Yisrael (Israel).

23 You haven’t brought sheep to me as your burnt offerings,

≈ and you haven’t honoured me with your sacrifices.

I haven’t burdened you with grain offerings,

≈ and I haven’t made you weary by demanding incense.

24 You didn’t spend any money to buy fragrant reeds for me,

≈ and you haven’t satisfied me with the fat from your sacrifices.

Nevertheless you’ve burdened me with your disobedience—

≈ you’ve tired me out with your wickedness.

25 I’m the only one who wipes your offenses out for my own sake,

≈ and then I won’t remember your sins any more.

26 Remind me, let’s plead the case together.

You retell it all so that you can be declared innocent.

27 Your founding father sinned,

≈ and your spokesmen have disobeyed me,

28 so I’ll defile your sacred officials,

and send destruction to Ya’akov (Jacob),

≈ and insults to Yisrael (Israel).

22 And_not DOM_me you_have_called_on Oh_Yaˊₐqoⱱ/(Jacob) if/because you_have_grown_weary with_me Oh_Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel).

23 Not you_have_brought to/for_me the_sheep_of your(pl)_burnt_offerings_of_your and_sacrifices_of_your not you_have_honoured_me not I_have_burdened_you with_offering[s] and_not I_have_made_you_weary with_frankincense.

24 Not you_have_bought to/for_me for_money calamus and_the_fat_of your(pl)_sacrifices_of_your not you_have_satisfied_me nevertheless you_have_burdened_me with_sins_of_your you_have_made_me_weary with_iniquities_of_your.

25 I I am_he who_is_wiping_out transgressions_of_your for_my_own_sake and_sins_of_your not I_will_remember.

26 Cause_me_to_remember let_us_enter_into_judgement together you recount so_that you_may_be_justified.

27 Ancestor_of_your (the)_first he_sinned and_spokesmen_of_your they_transgressed against_me.

28 And_I_will_profane the_officials_of holiness and_I_will_give to_(the)_destruction Yaˊₐqoⱱ and_Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel) to_reviling_words/messages.
