9:8 The cursing of God of Yisrael

8 My master sent a message against Yakov,

≈and it dealt with Yisrael,

9 and all the people will know it—

Efraim and those who live in Samarya.

With a proud and arrogant heart they’ll say,

10 “The bricks have fallen, but we’ll rebuild with beautiful chiselled stone.

The sycamores are felled, but we’ll replace them with expensive cedar.”

10 woe _to the_decree decrees _of wickedness and_writers who_trouble they _wrote.
2 To_deprive from_justice poor_people and_to_rob the _justice _of the _poor_people_of people _of_my to_be widows spoil _of_their and_DOM fatherless _ones they _will _plunder.
3 And_what will _you(pl)_do on_day _of punishment and_in_calamity from_afar it _will _come to whom will _you(pl)_flee for_help and_where will _you(pl)_leave wealth _of_your(pl).
