23:1 A message for Tsor and Tsidon

23A message for Tsor (Tyre):[ref]

Wail, you ships from Tarshish because your home port has been destroyed. It’s been reported to them from Kittim (Cyprus ). 2Be silent you who live along the coast, you traders from Tsidon (Sidon) who cross the ocean to be filled. 3The grain from Shihor across the waters and the harvest from the Nile became hers, and it became the commerce of the nations.

4Be ashamed Tsidon because the ocean has spoken. The stronghold by the sea said, ‘I haven’t been in labour or given birth, and I haven’t raised young men or young women.’

5When the report reaches Egypt (Heb. Mitsrayim), they’ll be very upset about what happened to Tsor. 6Sail over to Tarshish. Wail, you who live along the coast. 7 8
