23:1 A message for Tsor and Tsidon

23 A message for Tsor (Tyre):[ref]

Wail, you ships from Tarshish because your home port has been destroyed. It’s been reported to them from Kittim (Cyprus ). 2 Be silent you who live along the coast, you traders from Tsidon (Sidon) who cross the ocean to be filled. 3 The grain from Shihor across the waters and the harvest from the Nile became hers, and it became the commerce of the nations.

4 Be ashamed Tsidon because the ocean has spoken. The stronghold by the sea said, ‘I haven’t been in labour or given birth, and I haven’t raised young men or young women.’

5 When the report reaches Egypt (Heb. Mitsrayim), they’ll be very upset about what happened to Tsor. 6 Sail over to Tarshish. Wail, you who live along the coast. 7 ◙ 8 ◙
