BSB Yet My people have forgotten Me.
⇔ They burn incense to worthless idols
⇔ that make them stumble in their ways,
 ⇔ leaving the ancient roads
⇔ to walk on rutted bypaths
⇔ instead of on the highway.

OEB Yet Me hath My people forgotten;
⇔ The gods that they worship are phantoms.
 ⇔ They have stumbled upon the way
⇔ Ordained for them of old,
 ⇔ And turned into bypaths
⇔ That never were truly laid.

WEB For my people have forgotten me.
⇔ They have burned incense to false gods.
 ⇔ They have been made to stumble in their ways
⇔ in the ancient paths,
⇔ to walk in byways, in a way not built up,

NET Yet my people have forgotten me
 ⇔ and offered sacrifices to worthless idols!
 ⇔ This makes them stumble along in the way they live
 ⇔ and leave the old reliable path of their fathers.
 ⇔ They have left them to walk in bypaths,
 ⇔ in roads that are not smooth and level.

LSV But My people have forgotten Me, they make incense to a vain thing,
And they cause them to stumble in their ways—paths of old,
To walk in paths—a way not raised up,

FBV But my people have rejected me! They burn incense to useless idols which trip them up, making them leave the old roads in order to walk down unmade paths instead of the highway.

T4T But my people are not as reliable as those streams:
⇔ They have abandoned me.
 ⇔ They burn incense to honor/worship worthless idols.
 ⇔ It is as though they have stumbled as they walked along very old roads that are good roads,
⇔ and now, instead, they are walking on dirt paths.
