12:6-19 God, through an angel, led Peter out, reunited him with his praying friends, and sent him out to carry on the work of spreading the Good News. The message advanced despite determined opposition.

ἀνοίξαντες δὲ εἶδαν αὐτὸν

/having/_opened_up_‹it› and ˱they˲_saw him

While the word they refers to the people in the house as in the previous verse, it is likely that only some of them came to the door. Alternate translation: “so some of the people in the house came and opened the door, and they saw him”
