4:14 Yeshua is our high priest
14 So then, having Yeshua the son of God who came from and returned to the heavens as our high priest, we need to hold firmly to what we say we believe, 15 because we don’t have a high priest who’s not able to sympathise with our weakness, but rather who’s been tempted just like we are yet he didn’t sin. 16 Therefore we can boldly approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace to help us when we need it.
5 Every high priest is just a person who was selected from the people to work with godly things both by offering gifts to God and sacrificing because of our sins. 2 He’s able to be patient with those who don’t understand and stray from the truth because he also is subject to weakness 3 and because of that, he has to make offerings for his own sins as well as for the people.[ref]
4 No one takes that honour upon themself, but they’re called by God like just Aaron was.[ref] 5 Similarly the messiah didn’t take the honour of being chief priest upon himself, but the one who spoke to him said:[ref]
‘You’re my son;
today I have given birth to you.’
6 And in another place he said:[ref]
‘You are a priest of the order of Melchizedek.’
7 [ref]During the time when Yeshua lived in a human body, he offered up prayers and petitions with a mighty clamour and tears to the one who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence. 8 Although he was a son, he learnt obedience from what he suffered 9 and once he became perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation to all those who submitted to him 10 as he’d been designated by God as the high priest according to the order of Melchizedek.

Exo 28:1:
28:1 The priests’ uniform
28 Now, have your brother Aharon and his sons brought to you from among the Israelis. Aharon, Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar will become my priests.
Psa 2:7:
7 I’ll explain Yahweh’s decree.[ref]
He told me, “You’re my son. Today I’ve become your father.

Mat 26:36-46:
26:36 Yeshua prays at Gethsemane
36 Then they went together to a property named Gethsemane where he told his apprentices to sit down while he went on a little further to pray. 37 He took Peter, Yacob, and Yohan with him, and then he was struck by feelings of sorrow and distress 38 and told them, “My soul is deathly sad. Stay here and look out for me.”
39 He went on a little further, and knelt with his face to the ground, saying, “My father, if it’s possible, let me avoid this suffering. However, it’s not what I want because I want to do what you want.”
40 Then he went back to the apprentices, but found them napping and said to Peter, “Weren’t you even able to stay awake for an hour for me? 41 Stay alert and pray so that you all don’t fall into temptation. Your spirits are eager, but your endurance is lacking.”
42 Then he went off a second time and prayed, “My father, if this can’t be done any other way than me having to suffer, then I’ll submit to your will.” 43 Returning again, he found the apprentices sleeping because they were very tired.
44 So he left them there and went back a third time, praying in the same way. 45 Then he went back to his apprentices and told them, “You’re all sleeping to get some rest? But look, it’s time now, and humanity’s child is about to be handed over to sinners. 46 Get up—we need to move. The one about to turn me in is coming.”
Mrk 14:32-42:
14:32 Yeshua, in distress, prays at Gethsemane
32 They walked along until they came to a piece of land called Gethsemane where Yeshua told his trainees to sit down while he prayed. 33 He took Peter and Yacob and Yohan further in with him where he stared off in a daze but was obviously very distressed. 34 He told the three of them, “My soul is deathly sad! You guys just stay here and keep alert.”
35 He went ahead a little way where he knelt on the ground with his head down and prayed—asking if it was possible to avoid what was ahead of him. 36 But he said, “Father, I know that you can do anything. Let me avoid this suffering, but yes I know, it doesn’t matter what I want but what you’ve planned.”
37 Then he went back and found the others sleeping. He asked Peter, “Simon, are you asleep? Couldn’t you stay awake even for a single hour? 38 You all need to stay alert and be careful not to give into temptation. I know your spirits are enthusiastic on one hand, but it’s still easy to give in to the moment.”
39 Then he went further in again and prayed as before, 40 but when he returned again, he found them all asleep because they were tired, but they couldn’t really find any excuse to give.
41 The third time that Yeshua returned, he said to them, “Ah, you’re all sleeping again and having a good rest. It’s well earned but the time has come for humanity’s child to be handed over to evil men. 42 Come on—get up—we need to go! Look, the one who’ll hand me over is on his way.”
Luk 22:39-46:
22:39 Yeshua prays in the garden
39 Then leaving the upper room, he went to the Mount of Olives as usual and his apprentices followed him. 40 When they got to the place, he told them, “You all pray that you won’t give in to temptation.”
41 Then he went on several metres, and kneeling on the ground, he prayed, 42 “Father, if you want, allow me to avoid this suffering, however, I want to do what you want—not just what I want.” 43 ◘ 44 ◘
45 Then standing again after praying, he went back to the apprentices and found that they’d fallen asleep from the sorrow 46 and he asked them, “Why are you all sleeping? Sit up and pray that you won’t give in to temptation.”
