In this context, to be in the hand of someone or something means to be under the power or control of that person or thing. Bildad is speaking as if the sins of Job’s children were a living thing that had exerted power over them and killed them. He actually means that God killed Job’s children in order to punish them for their sins. If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: “then God punished them by killing them for the sins they committed”
