25 a _ son_ oftwenty and _ five year[s] ʼAmaʦyāh he _ became_ kingand _ twenty and _ nine year[s] he _ reignedin _ Yə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) and _ name _ ofhis/its _ mother was _ Yə hōˊaddin/(Jehoaddan)from _ Yə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) .

3 And _ he/it _ wasjust _ as it _ was_ securethe _ kingdom on/upon/above _ him/it and _ he _ killedDOM servants _ of_ his who _ had _ struck_ downDOM the _ king his/its _ father .
4 And _ DOM children _ of_ their not he _ put_ to_ deathif/because according _ what _ is_ writtenin _ law in _ the _ book_ ofMosheh which he _ commandedYHWH to _ say not they _ will_ dieparents on children and _ children not they _ will_ dieon parents if/because each for _ his _ own_ of_ sin they _ will_ die5 and _ ʼAmaʦyāh _ he _ assembledDOM Yə hūdāh/(Judah) and _ he _ appointed _ themto _ the _ house _ ofancestors to _ the _ commanders_ ofthe _ thousandsand _ to _ the _ commanders_ ofthe _ hundredsto/from _ all/each/any/every Yə hūdāh and _ Binyāmīn and _ he _ enrolled _ them(to) _ from_ a _ son _ oftwenty year[s] and _ (to) _ upwards and _ he _ found _ themthree hundred(s) thousand chosen _ man who _ goes_ forthwarfare who _ holdsa _ spearand _ a _ body_ shield6 And _ he _ hiredfrom _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) one _ hundredthousand mighty _ man _ ofstrength for _ one _ hundredtalent[s] _ ofsilver .
7 And _ (the)_ man _ ofthe _ ʼElohīm he _ cameto _ him/it to _ say the _ king not let _ it_ gowith _ you the _ army_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) if/because not YHWH is _ withYisrāʼēl /(Israel) all _ ofthe _ descendants_ ofʼEfrayim .
8 If/because (if) go you act be _ strongfor _ battle he _ will _ overthrow_ youthe _ ʼElohīm to _ (the) _ face_ of/in_ front_ of/beforethe _ enemyif/because there _ is strength in _ god to _ help and _ to _ overthrow .
9 And _ ʼAmaʦyāh _ he/it _ saidto _ the _ man_ ofthe _ ʼElohīm and _ what is _ to_ do to _ the _ one_ hundred_ ofthe _ talent[s] which I _ paidto _ the _ troop[s]_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ the _ man_ of_ he/it _ saidthe _ ʼElohīm there _ is to/for _ YHWH to _ give to/for _ yourself(m) much more _ than _ this10 And _ he _ separated _ themʼAmaʦyāh (to) _ the _ troop[s] which it _ had_ cometo _ him/it from _ ʼEfrayim to _ go to _ their _ of_ place anger _ of_ their and _ it _ glowed/burntexceedingly on _ Yə hūdāh/(Judah) and _ they _ returnedto _ their _ of_ place in _ the _ heat _ ofanger .
11 and _ ʼAmaʦyāh he _ strengthened_ himselfand _ he _ led_ outDOM people _ of_ his and _ he/it _ wentthe _Valley _ ofSalt and _ he _ struck_ downDOM the _ people_ ofSēˊīr ten _ ofthousand(s) .
12 And _ ten _ ofthousand(s) alive the _ people_ ofthey _ took_ captiveof _ Yə hūdāhand _ they _ brought _ themto _ the _ top_ ofthe _ cliffand _ they _ threw _ themfrom _ the _ top_ of(the) _ cliff and _ all _ of_ of _ themthey _ were_ split_ open13 and _ the _ sonsof _ the _ troopwhich he _ had_ turned_ backʼAmaʦyāh from _ going with _ him/it to _ battle and _ they _ made_ a_ raidon _ the _ cities_ ofYə hūdāh from _ Shomrōn and _ unto Bēyt Ḩōrōn and _ they _ struck_ downfrom _ them three _ ofthousand(s) and _ they _ plunderedplunder much .
14 and _ he/it _ wasafter came ʼAmaʦyāh from _ when _ defeatedDOM the _ ʼEdōmitesand _ he/it _ broughtDOM the _ gods_ ofthe _ people_ ofSēˊīr and _ he _ set _ them_ upto _ him/it to _ gods and _ before _ them _ ofhe _ bowed_ downand _ to _ them he _ made_ smoke15 And _ it _ glowed/burntthe _ angerof _ YHWH on _ ʼAmaʦyāh and _ he _ sentto _ him/it a _ prophetand _ he/it _ saidto _ him/it to/for _ what have _ you_ soughtDOM the _ gods_ ofthe _ peoplewhich not they _ deliveredDOM people _ of_ their _ ownfrom _ your(ms) _ hand .
16 And _ he/it _ waswhen _ he _ was _ speakingto _ him/it and _ he/it _ saidto _ him/it into _ a _ counsellor to/for _ the _ kinghave _ we _ made_ youcease to/for _ yourself(m) to/for _ what will _ people _ strike_ you_ downand _ he _ ceasedthe _ prophet and _ he/it _ saidI _ knowif/because _ thathe _ has_ plannedgod to _ destroy _ you if/because you _ have_ donethis and _ not you _ have_ listenedto _ my _ of_ counsel .
17 and _ ʼAmaʦyāh _ he _ took_ counselthe _ king_ ofYə hūdāh/(Judah) and _ he _ sentto Yōʼāsh/(Joash) the _ son_ ofYə hōʼāḩāz/(Jehoahaz) the _ son_ ofYēhūʼ/(Jehu) the _ king_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) to _ say wwww [fn ] let _ us_ look_ at_ one_ anotherfaces .
18 And _ Yōʼāsh _ he _ sentthe _ king_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) to ʼAmaʦyāh the _ king_ ofYə hūdāh to _ say the _ thornbush which was _ in_ Lə ⱱānōn it _ sentto the _ cedar which was _ in_ Lə ⱱānōn to _ say give DOM daughter _ of_ your to _ my _ of_ son to/for _ (a) _ womanand _ the _ animal_ of_ it _ passed_ bythe _ field which was _ in_ Lə ⱱānōn and _ it _ trampledDOM the _ thornbush .
19 You _ have_ saidhere you _ have_ defeatedDOM ʼEdōm and _ it _ has _ lifted_ youheart _ of_ your to _ display _ honournow remain in _ your _ of_ house to/for _ what will _ you_ engage_ in_ strifewith _ harm and _ you _ will_ fallyou and _ Yə hūdāh/(Yihudah) with _ you .
20 And _ not ʼAmaʦyāh he _ listenedif/because was _ from_ (the) _ god it so _ asto _ give _ themin _ a _ handif/because they _ had_ soughtDOM the _ gods_ ofʼEdōm .
21 And _ Yōʼāsh _ he/it _ ascendedthe _ king_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ they _ looked_ at_ one_ anotherfaces he and _ ʼAmaʦyāh the _ king_ ofYə hūdāh in _ house _ ofshemesh which belonged _ to_ Yə hūdāh/(Judah) .
22 And _ Yə hūdāh _ it _ was_ defeatedto _ (the) _ face_ of/in_ front_ of/beforeYisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ they _ fledeach to _ his _ of_ tents .
23 And _ DOM ʼAmaʦyāh the _ king_ ofYə hūdāh the _ son_ ofYōʼāsh/(Joash) the _ son_ ofYə hōʼāḩāz/(Jehoahaz) Yōʼāsh he _ seizedthe _ king_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) in _ house _ ofshemesh and _ he _ brought _ himYə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) and _ he _ made_ a_ breachin _ the _ wall_ ofYə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) from _ the _ gate_ ofʼEfrayim to the _ gate_ ofthe _ facefour hundred(s) cubit[s] .
24 And _ all the _ gold and _ the _ silver and _ DOM all _ ofthe _ vessels which _ were _ foundin _ house _ ofthe _ ʼElohīm with ˊŌⱱēd- ʼEdōm and _ DOM the _ treasures_ ofthe _ house_ ofthe _ king and _ DOM the _ sons_ ofthe _ pledgesand _ he _ returnedShomrōn .
25 and _ ʼAmaʦyāh _ he/it _ livedthe _ son_ ofYōʼāsh the _ king_ ofYə hūdāh after the _ death_ ofYōʼāsh the _ son_ ofYə hōʼāḩāz the _ king_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) fif- teen year[s] .
26 And _ the _ rest_ ofthe _ matters_ ofʼAmaʦyāh (the) _ former and _ (the) _ latter not there _ are _ they written on the _ scroll_ ofthe _ kings_ ofYə hūdāh and _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) .
27 And _ from _ the _ time when he _ turned_ asideʼAmaʦyāh from _ after YHWH and _ people _ conspiredon/upon/above _ him/it a _ conspiracyin _ Yə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) and _ he _ fledto _ Lākīsh and _ they _ sentafter _ him to _ Lākīsh and _ they _ put _ him_ to_ deaththere .
28 And _ they _ carried _ himon the _ horses and _ they _ buriedDOM _ him/it with ancestors _ of_ his in _ the _ city_ ofYə hūdāh/(Judah) .
