3 And _ in/on/at/with _ eighth years of _ reign _ his and _ he still _ he [was] _ a_ youthhe _ beganto _ seek to _ god _ ofDāvid his/its _ father and _ in/on/at/with _ two ten year he _ beganto _ purge DOM Yə hūdāh/(Judah) and _ Yə rūshālam from the _ high _ placesand _ the _ ʼₐshērāh _ polesand _ the _ carved _ imagesand _ the _ throw _ images4 And _ torn _ downin _ presence _ of_ his DOM the _ altars_ ofthe _ Baals and _ the _ incense _ altarswhich at _ above at _ over _ them he _ cut_ downand _ the _ ʼₐshērāh _ polesand _ the _ idols and _ the _ throw _ imageshe _ broke_ in_ piecesand _ made _ dustand _ scattered on the _ surface_ ofthe _ graves the _ sacrificed to/for _ them .
5 And _ bones _ ofpriests he _ burnedon wwww [fn ] and _ purged DOM Yə hūdāh and _ DOM Yə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) .
6 And _ in/on/at/with _ cities _ ofMə nashsheh and _ ʼEfrayim and _ Shimˊōn and _ unto Naftālī in/on/at/with in _ ruins _ of[fn ] all _ around7 And _ tore _ downDOM the _ altars and _ DOM the _ ʼₐshērāh _ polesand _ the _ idols he _ crushedto _ powder and _ all the _ incense _ altarshe _ cut_ downin _ all the _ land_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ returned to _ Yə rūshālam .
8 and _ in _ year _ ofeight- teen of _ reign _ his in _ order_ to_ purged the _ earth/land and _ the _ house he _ sentDOM Shāfān the _ son_ ofʼAʦalyāh ū and _ DOM sēyāh the _ official_ ofthe _ city and _ DOM Yōʼāḩ/(Joah) the _ son_ ofYōʼāḩaz the _ recorder to _ repair DOM the _ house_ ofYHWH his/its _ god .
9 And _ they _ cameto Ḩilqiyyāh the _ priest/officer the _ high and _ gave DOM the _ money the _ brought _ intothe _ house_ ofgod which they _ had_ gatheredthe _ Lēviyyiy [who] _ kept_ ofthe _ threshold from _ hand _ ofMə nashsheh and _ ʼEfrayim and _ from _ all the _ remnant_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ from _ all _ ofYə hūdāh/(Judah) and _ Binyāmīn and _ they _ returned[fn ] of _ Yə rūshālam10 And _ gave on the _ hand_ ofthe _ doer[s]_ ofthe _ work the _ appointed in _ house _ ofYHWH and _ gave DOM _ him/it the _ doers_ ofthe _ work who [were] _ workingin _ house _ ofYHWH to _ repair and _ to _ restore the _ house .
11 And _ gave to _ the_ carpenters and _ to _ the_ builders to _ buy stones _ ofhewing and _ timber for _ the_ binders and _ for _ beams DOM the _ buildings which they _ had_ ruinedthe _ kings_ ofYə hūdāh .
12 And _ the _ men [were] _ workingin/on/at/with _ integrity in/on/at/with _ work and _ over _ them Jahath [were] _ appointedand _ ˊOⱱadyāh the _ Lēviyyiy of the _ descendants_ ofMerari and _ Zə karyāh and _ Mə shullām of the _ descendants_ ofthe _ Qₑhātī to _ supervisors and _ the _ Lēviyyiy every _ of[one _ who_ was]_ skilledin/on/at/with _ instruments _ ofsong .
13 And _ over the _ porters and _ supervised to _ all/each/any/every doer _ ofwork in _ job and _ job and _ some _ of_ the _ Lēviyyiy [were] _ scribesand _ officials and _ gatekeepers .
14 And _ in/on/at/with _ bringing _ out_ they DOM the _ money the _ the _ house_ of_ brought _ intoof _ YHWH Ḩilqiyyāh he _ foundthe _ priest/officer DOM the _ scroll_ ofthe _ law_ ofYHWH in/on/at/with _ hand _ ofMosheh .
15 And _ Ḩilqiyyāh _ answered and _ he/it _ saidto Shāfān the _ secretary the _ scroll_ ofthe _ law I _ have_ foundin _ house _ ofYHWH and _ Ḩilqiyyāh _ he/it _ gaveDOM the _ book to Shāfān .
16 And _ Shāfān _ he/it _ broughtDOM the _ book to the _ king and _ reported again DOM the _ king word to _ say all that it _ was_ givenin/on/at/with _ hands _ ofyour _ servants they [are] _ doing17 And _ emptied _ outDOM the _ money the _ found in _ house _ ofYHWH and _ delivered _ it on the _ hand_ ofthe _ overseers and _ to the _ hand_ ofthe _ doers_ ofthe _ work .
18 And _ Shāfān _ told the _ secretary to/for _ the _ kingto _ a _ scroll_ say he _ has_ givento _ me Ḩilqiyyāh the _ priest/officer and _ he/it _ calledin _ him/it Shāfān to _ (the) _ face_ of/in_ front_ of/beforethe _ king .
19 And _ he/it _ waswhen _ heard the _ king DOM the _ words_ ofthe _ law and _ tore DOM clothes _ of_ his .
20 And _ he/it _ commandedthe _ king DOM Ḩilqiyyāh and _ DOM ʼAḩīqām the _ son_ ofShāfān and _ DOM ˊAⱱdōn the _ son_ ofMīkāh and _ DOM Shāfān the _ secretary and _ DOM ˊAsāyāh the _ servant_ ofthe _ king to _ say .
21 Go consult DOM YHWH for _ me and _ for the _ left in/on/at/with _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ in/on/at/with _ Yə hūdāh/(Judah) on the _ words_ ofthe _ book which it _ has_ been_ foundif/because [is] _ greatthe _ rage_ ofYHWH which it _ has_ been_ poured_ outin/on/at/with _ us on that not they _ keptancestors _ of_ our DOM the _ word_ ofYHWH for _ doing in _ accordance_ with_ all _ ofthe _ written on the _ book the _ this .
22 and _ Ḩilqiyyāh _ he/it _ wentand _ which the _ king to Ḩuldāh the _ prophetess the _ wife_ ofShallūm the _ son_ ofTokhath [fn ] the _ son_ ofHasrah the _ keeper_ ofthe _ wardrobe and _ she [was] _ dwellingin/on/at/with _ Yə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) in/on/at/with _ second and _ spoke to _ her/it to _ this .
23 and _ she/it _ saidto/for _ them thus YHWH he _ saysthe _ god_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) say to _ the_ man who he _ sentDOM _ you _ allto _ me .
24 thus YHWH he _ sayssee _ I [am] _ about_ to_ bringcalamity on the _ place the _ this and _ upon inhabitants _ of_ its DOM all _ ofthe _ curses the _ written on the _ book which people _ have_ read_ aloudto _ (the) _ face_ of/in_ front_ of/beforethe _ king_ ofYə hūdāh .
25 Because that abandoned _ me and _ burned _ incense[fn ] [fn ] to _ gods other so _ asprovoke _ toanger_ me in/on/at/with _ all _ ofthe _ works_ ofhands _ of_ their and _ poured _ outsevere _ anger_ of_ my in/on/at/with _ place the _ this and _ not it _ will_ be_ quenched26 And _ near/to the _ king_ ofYə hūdāh/(Judah) the _ sent DOM _ you _ allto _ inquire in/on/at/with _ LORD thus you _ all_ will_ sayto _ him/it thus YHWH he _ saysthe _ god_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) the _ words which you _ have_ heard27 Because it _ was_ softheart _ of_ your and _ humbled from _ to/for _ face/front/presence god in/on/at/with _ heard _ you DOM words _ of_ his on the _ place the _ this and _ against inhabitants _ of_ its and _ humbled to/for _ my _ face/front and _ tore DOM clothes _ of_ your and _ wept in _ presence _ of_ me and _ also I I _ have_ heardthe _ utterance_ ofYHWH 28 Behold _ I gather _ of_ you to fathers _ of_ your and _ gathered to grave _ of_ your in/on/at/with _ peace and _ not eyes _ of_ your they _ will_ lookin/on/at/with _ all _ ofthe _ disaster which I [will] _ bringon the _ place the _ this and _ on inhabitants _ of_ its and _ brought _ backDOM the _ king word .

30 And _ he/it _ ascendedthe _ king the _ house_ ofYHWH and _ all (the) _ person_ ofYə hūdāh and _ inhabitants _ ofYə rūshālam and _ the _ priests and _ the _ Lēviyyiy and _ all the _ people from _ great and _ unto [the] _ smalland _ he/it _ calledin/on/at/with _ hearing _ of_ their DOM all _ ofthe _ words_ ofthe _ scroll_ ofthe _ covenant the _ found the _ house_ ofYHWH 31 And _ stood the _ king at place _ of_ his and _ made DOM the _ covenant to _ (the) _ face_ of/in_ front_ of/beforeYHWH to _ go after YHWH and _ to _ keep DOM commands _ of_ his and _ decrees _ of_ his and _ statutes _ of_ his in _ all heart _ of_ his and _ on/over _ all soul _ of_ his for _ doing DOM the _ words_ ofthe _ covenant the _ written on the _ book the _ this .
32 And _ made DOM every _ ofthe _ present in/on/at/with _ Yə rūshālam and _ Binyāmīn and _ did of _ Yə rūshālamthe _ inhabitants_ ofaccording _ to_ covenant _ ofgod the _ god_ ofancestors _ of_ their .
33 And _ Yʼoshiyyāh /(Josiah) _ removed DOM all _ ofthe _ abominations from _ all the _ territory which belonged _ to_ people _ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ worship DOM every _ ofthe _ present in/on/at/with _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) to _ serve DOM YHWH god _ of_ their all _ ofhis/its _ days not they _ turned_ asidefrom _ following YHWH the _ god_ ofancestors _ of_ their .
