34 was _ a_ son_ ofeight years Yʼoshiyyāh when _ he _ became _ kingand _ thirty and _ one year[s] he _ reignedin _ Yə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) .
2 And _ he/it _ madethe _ right in/on _ both _ eyes_ ofYHWH and _ he/it _ wentin _ the _ ways_ ofDāvid his/its _ father and _ not he _ turned_ asideright _ handand _ left _ hand3 And _ in _ eight years of _ his _ reigning and _ he still _ he was _ a_ youthhe _ beganto _ seek (to) _ the_ god _ ofDāvid his/its _ father and _ in _ two _ plusten year he _ beganto _ cleanse DOM Yə hūdāh/(Judah) and _ Yə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) from the _ high_ places and _ the _ ʼAshērāh_ poles and _ the _ idols and _ the _ molten_ images .
4 And _ people _ pulled_ downbefore _ him DOM the _ altars_ ofthe _ Baˊaland _ the _ incense_ altars which were _ (to) _ upwards (from) _ above _ them he _ cut_ downand _ the _ ʼAshērāh_ poles and _ the _ idols and _ the _ molten_ images he _ broke_ in_ piecesand _ he _ pulverised_ them and _ he _ sprinkled_ them on the _ surface_ ofthe _ graveswhich _ had _ sacrificedto/for _ them .
5 And _ the _ bones _ ofpriests he _ burnton wwww [fn ] and _ he _ cleansedDOM Yə hūdāh and _ DOM Yə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) .
6 And _ in _ the _ cities_ ofMə nashsheh and _ ʼEfrayim and _ Shimˊōn and _ unto Naftālī in/on/at/with with _ their _ of[fn ] all _ around7 And _ he _ pulled_ downDOM the _ altars and _ DOM the _ ʼAshērāh_ poles and _ the _ idols he _ crushedto _ pulverize and _ all the _ incense_ altars he _ cut_ downin _ all the _ land_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ he _ returnedto _ Yə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) .
8 and _ in _ year _ ofeight- teen of _ his _ reigning to _ cleanse the _ earth/land and _ the _ house he _ sentDOM Shāfān the _ son_ ofʼAʦalyāh ū and _ DOM sēyāh the _ official_ ofthe _ city and _ DOM Yōʼāḩ/(Joah) the _ son_ ofYōʼāḩaz the _ recorder to _ repair DOM the _ house_ ofYHWH his/its _ god .
9 And _ they _ cameto Ḩilqiyyāh the _ priest/officer (the) _ great and _ they _ gaveDOM the _ money which _ had _ been_ broughtthe _ house_ ofgod which they _ had_ gatheredthe _ Lēviyyiy who _ kept_ of(of) _ the_ threshold from _ the _ hand_ ofMə nashsheh and _ ʼEfrayim and _ from _ all the _ remnant_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ from _ all _ ofYə hūdāh/(Judah) and _ Binyāmīn and _ they _ returned[fn ] of _ Yə rūshālam/(Jerusalem)10 And _ they _ gave_ on the _ hand_ ofthe _ doer[s]_ ofthe _ workwho _ had _ been_ appointedin _ house _ ofYHWH and _ they _ gaveDOM _ him/it the _ doers_ ofthe _ workwho were _ workingin _ house _ ofYHWH to _ mend and _ to _ repair the _ house .
11 And _ they _ gave_ to _ craftsmen and _ to _ builders to _ acquire stones _ ofhewing and _ wood(s) for _ clamps and _ to _ make _ beams_ forDOM the _ houses which they _ had_ ruinedthe _ kings_ ofYə hūdāh .
12 And _ the _ men were _ workingin _ faithfulness in _ work and _ over _ them Yaḩat/(Jahath) were _ appointedand _ ˊOⱱadyāh the _ Lēviyyiy of the _ descendants_ ofMə rārī and _ Zə karyāh and _ Mə shullām of the _ descendants_ ofthe _ Qə hātitesto _ act _ as_ overseersand _ the _ Lēviyyiy every _ ofone _ who_ was_ skilledin _ instruments _ ofsong .
13 (and) _ were _ over the _ burden-bearers and _ were _ acting _ as_ overseersto _ all/each/any/every doer _ ofwork for _ labour and _ labour and _ some _ of _ the _ Lēviyyiywere _ scribesand _ officials and _ gatekeepers .
14 And _ when _ they _ brought _ outDOM the _ money which _ the _ house_ of_ had _ been_ broughtof _ YHWH Ḩilqiyyāh he _ foundthe _ priest/officer DOM the _ scroll_ ofthe _ law_ ofYHWH by _ the _ hand_ ofMosheh .
15 And _ Ḩilqiyyāh _ he _ answeredand _ he/it _ saidto Shāfān the _ scribe the _ scroll_ ofthe _ lawI _ have_ foundin _ house _ ofYHWH and _ Ḩilqiyyāh _ he/it _ gaveDOM the _ scroll to Shāfān .
16 And _ Shāfān _ he/it _ broughtDOM the _ scroll to the _ king and _ he _ brought_ backagain DOM the _ king message to _ say all that it _ was_ givenin _ the _ hand_ ofyour _ servants they are _ doing17 And _ they _ have_ poured_ outDOM the _ money which _ was _ foundin _ house _ ofYHWH and _ they _ have _ given_ iton the _ hand_ ofthose _ who_ had_ been_ appointedand _ on the _ hand_ ofthe _ doers_ ofthe _ work18 And _ Shāfān _ he _ toldthe _ scribe to/for _ the _ kingto _ a _ scroll_ say he _ has_ givento _ me Ḩilqiyyāh the _ priest/officer and _ he/it _ calledin _ him/it Shāfān to _ (the) _ face_ of/in_ front_ of/beforethe _ king .
19 And _ he/it _ wasjust _ as _ heardthe _ king DOM the _ words/messages_ ofthe _ lawand _ he _ toreDOM clothes _ of_ his .
20 And _ he/it _ commandedthe _ king DOM Ḩilqiyyāh and _ DOM ʼAḩīqām the _ son_ ofShāfān and _ DOM ˊAⱱdōn the _ son_ ofMīkāh and _ DOM Shāfān the _ scribe and _ DOM ˊAsāyāh the _ servant_ ofthe _ king to _ say .
21 Go consult DOM YHWH for _ me and _ for the _ one _ who _ remainsamong _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ among _ Yə hūdāh/(Judah) on the _ words/messages_ ofthe _ scrollwhich it _ has_ been_ foundif/because is _ greatthe _ rage_ ofYHWH which it _ has_ been_ poured_ outon _ us on that not they _ keptancestors _ of_ our DOM the _ message_ ofYHWH for _ doing according _ to _ every_ of(the) _ _ written on the _ scroll (the) _ this .
22 and _ Ḩilqiyyāh _ he/it _ wentand _ which the _ king to Ḩuldāh the _ prophetess the _ wife_ ofShallūm the _ son_ ofTōqahat [fn ] the _ son_ ofḨaşrāh the _ keeper_ ofthe _ garmentsand _ she was _ dwellingin _ Yə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) in _ district and _ they _ spoketo _ her/it like _ this .
23 and _ she/it _ saidto/for _ them thus YHWH he _ saysthe _ god_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) say to _ man who he _ sentyou(pl) to _ me .
24 thus YHWH he _ sayshere _ I am _ about_ to_ bringcalamity on the _ place the _ this and _ on its _ of_ inhabitants DOM all _ ofthe _ curses which _ are _ writtenon the _ scroll which people _ have_ read_ aloudto _ (the) _ face_ of/in_ front_ of/beforethe _ king_ ofYə hūdāh .
25 Because that they _ have _ abandoned_ meand _ they _ have_ made_ smoke[fn ] [fn ] to _ gods other so _ asto _ provoke _ me_ to_ angerby _ all _ ofthe _ works_ oftheir _ hands_ of_ of and _ it _ will_ pour_ forthrage _ of_ my on _ place the _ this and _ not it _ will_ be_ quenched26 And _ near/to the _ king_ ofYə hūdāh/(Judah) who _ sent you(pl) to _ consult (in) _ YHWH thus you(pl) _ will_ sayto _ him/it thus YHWH he _ saysthe _ god_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) the _ words/messages which you _ have_ heard27 Because it _ was_ softheart _ of_ your and _ you _ humbled_ yourselffrom _ to/for _ face/front/presence god when _ you _ heard DOM words/messages _ of_ his on the _ place the _ this and _ on its _ of_ inhabitants and _ you _ humbled_ yourselfto/for _ my _ face/front and _ you _ toreDOM clothes _ of_ your and _ you _ weptbefore _ me and _ also I I _ have_ heardthe _ utterance_ ofYHWH 28 Here _ I will _ gather_ of_ you to ancestors _ of_ your and _ you _ will_ be_ gatheredto grave(s) _ of_ your in _ peace and _ not eyes _ of_ your they _ will_ lookon _ all _ ofthe _ distress which I will _ bringon the _ place the _ this and _ on its _ of_ inhabitants and _ they _ brought_ backDOM the _ king message .
