5 And _ he _ gave _ himYHWH his/its _ god in _ the _ hand_ ofthe _ king_ ofʼArām and _ they _ defeatedin _ him/it and _ they _ took_ captivefrom _ him/it captive[s] large and _ they _ brought_ them Dammeseq and _ also in _ the _ hand_ ofthe _ king_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) he _ was_ givenand _ he _ defeatedin/on/over _ him/it a _ defeatgreat .
6 and _ Fə qaḩyāh _ he _ killedthe _ son_ ofRə malyāh ū among _ Yə hūdāh/(Judah) one _ hundredand _ twenty thousand in/on _ day one (the) _ all were _ sons_ ofstrength because _ they _ had _ abandonedDOM YHWH the _ god_ oftheir _ ancestors_ of_ of .

12 and _ men _ they _ rose_ upof _ the _ chiefs_ ofof _ the_ descendants_ ofof _ ʼEfrayimˊAzaryāh the _ son_ ofYə hōḩānān/(Jehohanan) Berekyāh the _ son_ ofMə shillēmōt and _ Jechizkiah the _ son_ ofShallūm and _ ˊAmāsāʼ the _ son_ ofḨadlay on the _ (ones _ who)_ wentfrom the _ war .
13 And _ they _ saidto/for _ them not you(pl) _ must_ bringDOM the _ captive[s] here if/because (to) _ the_ guilt _ ofYHWH on _ us you(pl) are _ sayingto _ add to sins _ of_ our and _ to guilt _ of_ our if/because much guilt to/for _ us and _ burning _ ofanger is _ towardsYisrāʼēl /(Israel) .
14 and _ he _ leftthe _ man _ equipped DOM the _ captive[s] and _ DOM the _ plunder to _ (the) _ face_ of/in_ front_ of/beforethe _ commanders and _ all the _ assembly .
15 And _ they _ arosethe _ men who they _ had_ been_ designatedby _ names and _ they _ took_ holdon _ captive[s] and _ all people _ of_ their _ nakedthey _ clothedfrom the _ booty and _ they _ clothed _ themand _ they _ shod _ themand _ they _ fed _ themand _ they _ gave _ them_ to_ drinkand _ they _ anointed _ themand _ they _ led _ themon _ donkeys to/from _ all/each/any/every one _ who_ stumbledand _ they _ brought _ themYə rīḩō/(Jericho) the _ city_ ofthe _ palm_ treesbeside relatives _ of_ their and _ they _ returnedShomrōn .

18 And _ the _ Fə lishtiy they _ had_ made_ a_ raidon _ the _ cities_ ofthe _ Shephelahand _ the _ Negeⱱ of _ Yə hūdāh and _ they _ had_ capturedDOM Bēyt Shemesh and _ DOM ʼAyyālōn and _ DOM (the) _ Gə dērōt and _ DOM Sōkoh and _ her/its _ daughters and _ DOM Timnah and _ her/its _ daughters and _ DOM Gimzō and _ DOM daughters _ of_ its and _ they _ livedthere .
19 If/because YHWH he _ had_ humbledDOM Yə hūdāh in _ account _ ofʼĀḩāz the _ king_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) if/because he _ had_ allowed_ lack_ of_ restraintin _ Yə hūdāh and _ he _ had_ acted_ unfaithfullyunfaithfulness against _ YHWH 20 And _ he _ cameon/upon/above _ him/it Tiglat pilʼeşer the _ king_ ofʼAshshūr and _ he/it _ laid_ siegeto _ him/it and _ not he _ strengthened _ him21 If/because ʼĀḩāz he _ had_ plunderedDOM the _ house_ ofYHWH and _ DOM the _ house_ ofthe _ king and _ the _ officials and _ he/it _ gaveto _ the _ king_ ofʼAshshūr and _ not for _ help to _ him/it .
22 And _ at _ the _ time_ ofharassed to _ him/it and _ he _ increasedto _ act _ unfaithfullyagainst _ YHWH that the _ king ʼĀḩāz .
23 And _ he/it _ sacrificedto _ the _ gods_ ofDammeseq which _ had _ defeatedin/on/over _ him/it and _ he/it _ saidif/because the _ gods_ ofthe _ kings_ ofʼArām they are _ helpingthem to/for _ them I _ will_ sacrificeand _ they _ will _ help_ meand _ they they _ becameto _ him/it (into) _ causing_ his _ overthrow and _ to/for _ all Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) .
24 And _ ʼĀḩāz _ he _ gatheredDOM the _ utensils_ ofthe _ house_ ofthe _ ʼElohīm and _ he _ cut_ upDOM the _ utensils_ ofthe _ house_ ofthe _ ʼElohīm and _ he/it _ closed_ upDOM the _ doors_ ofthe _ house_ ofYHWH and _ he/it _ madeto _ him/it altars in _ all corner in _ Yə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) .
25 And _ on/over _ all city and _ a _ cityof _ Yə hūdāh/(Judah) he _ madehigh _ placesto _ make _ smoketo _ gods other and _ he _ provokedDOM YHWH the _ god_ ofhis _ ancestors_ of_ of .
26 And _ the _ rest_ ofhis _ matters_ of_ of and _ all ways _ of_ his (the) _ former and _ (the) _ latter there _ they are _ writtenon the _ scroll_ ofthe _ kings_ ofYə hūdāh and _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) .
