BrTr Also this has been declared to you, with respect to all the priests, and Levites, the singers, porters, Nathinim and ministers of the house of God, let no tribute be paid to thee; thou shalt not have power to oppress them.
ULT And to you is made known that there is no authority to set tax, tribute, or custom upon all the priests, and the Levites, the singers, the gatekeepers, the temple servants, and the servants of that house of God.

7.24 Vobis quoque. This privilegio ostenditur, that cætera plebs of_children Isræl to patriam perveniens tributa king pendebat, that discreta provisione king fecisse cognoscitur as who divino servitio supererant occupati, from his_own famulatu they_would_be liberi, and who in earth/land nihil proprium possidebant, but from decimis of_the_people vivebant, nemo from to_them tributum exigeret. The last phrase, the servants of that house of God, describes what the people in the five groups listed all have in common. They all work in the temple of God. In this way, the phrase gives the reason why the treasurers may not impose taxes on anyone in any of these groups. Likely as a further way of supporting the temple, and perhaps also as a gesture of respect for God, Artaxerxes is providing an exemption from taxes for all temple personnel.
