ULT Therefore, also from one man—and he having become dead—these children were born, just as the stars of the sky in their great number and countless as the sand along the shore of the sea.
UST So then, even though he was very old, Abraham had many descendants, the Israelites. Just as God promised, there are as many Israelites as there are many stars in the sky and as there are many grains of sand on a beach by the ocean.

11:12 this one man who was as good as dead: Abraham was very old, yet he became the source for a whole nation. Faith involves believing that God is able to answer his promises seemingly out of nothing.
