BSB For that day belongs to the Lord GOD of Hosts,
⇔ a day of vengeance against His foes.
 ⇔ The sword will devour until it is satisfied,
⇔ until it is quenched with their blood.
 ⇔ For the Lord GOD of Hosts will hold a sacrifice
⇔ in the land of the north by the River Euphrates.

 ⇔ For the Lord God who rules over all will offer them up as a sacrifice
 ⇔ in the land of the north by the Euphrates River.

A day of vengeance,
To be avenged of His adversaries,

And it has been watered from their blood,
For a sacrifice [is] to Lord YHWH of Hosts,

FBV But this is the day of the Lord God Almighty, a day of retribution when he takes vengeance on his enemies. The sword will destroy until it is satisfied, until it's had enough of their blood. The Lord God Almighty is having a sacrifice in the north country beside the Euphrates.

T4T But, you need to know that this is the day when I, Yahweh, the Commander of the armies of angels, will get revenge on my enemies.
 ⇔ With my sword [PRS] I will kill my enemies until I am satisfied;
⇔ my sword will be like a monster that [MET, PRS] drinks the blood of the animals it kills until it is no longer thirsty.
