UHBוְ⁠אָמַרְתָּ֗ יְהוָה֙ אַתָּ֨ה דִבַּ֜רְתָּ אֶל־הַ⁠מָּק֤וֹם הַ⁠זֶּה֙ לְ⁠הַכְרִית֔⁠וֹ לְ⁠בִלְתִּ֤י הֱיֽוֹת־בּ⁠וֹ֙ יוֹשֵׁ֔ב לְ⁠מֵ⁠אָדָ֖ם וְ⁠עַד־בְּהֵמָ֑ה כִּֽי־שִׁמְמ֥וֹת עוֹלָ֖ם תִּֽהְיֶֽה׃

ULT Then you will say, ‘Yahweh, you yourself have declared that you would destroy this place, and that no man or animal will live in it, and it will be desolate forever.’

51:59-64 Just as Babylon had destroyed Jerusalem, this great kingdom would itself be destroyed. This passage contains a message sent to Babylon seven years before the fall of Jerusalem.
