ULTBut if anyone thinks he is acting improperly toward his virgin—if she is beyond the age of marriage and it must be so—he should do what he wants. He is not sinning; let them marry.

USTIn some cases, an engaged man may consider that he might act in sexually improper ways with his fiancée. Further, his fiancée may be fully mature and ready to have sex. In these cases, here is what to do: the man should marry his fiancé. He does not sin when he does this, and the two of them should get married.

BSBHowever, if someone thinks he is acting inappropriately toward his betrothed, [and] if she is beyond [her] youth and [they] ought [to marry],[fn] let him do as he wishes; he is not sinning; they should get married.

MSBHowever, if someone thinks he is acting inappropriately toward his betrothed, [and] if she is beyond [her] youth[fn] and [they] ought [to marry],[fn] let him do as he wishes; he is not sinning; they should get married.

BLBBut if anyone supposes to be behaving improperly to his virgin, if she is beyond youth, and it ought to be so, let him do what he wills; he does not sin; let them marry.

AICNTIf anyone thinks he is acting improperly toward his virgin, if she is past the bloom of youth and it must be so, let him do what he wishes; he does not sin. Let them marry.

OEBIf, however, a father thinks that he is not acting fairly by his unmarried daughter, when she is past her youth, and if under these circumstances her marriage ought to take place, he should act as he thinks right. He is doing nothing wrong – let the marriage take place.

WEBBE & WMBBBut if any man thinks that he is behaving inappropriately towards his virgin, if she is past the flower of her age, and if need so requires, let him do what he desires. He doesn’t sin. Let them marry.

TCNTNow if any man thinks that he is acting improperly toward his virgin daughter by not letting her marry, if she is past the bloom of her youth and it seems necessary to do so, he should do what he wants. He is not sinning by letting her get married.

T4TSome of you men have asked about your unmarried daughters. I suggest that if any man thinks that he may be treating his daughter unfairly by keeping her from marrying, and if it is already past the right time for her to get married, and if he thinks that she ought to be married, he should do what he wants to do. He should let her get married. He will not be sinning by doing that.

LEBBut if anyone thinks he is behaving dishonorably concerning his virgin, if she is past her prime[fn] and it ought to be thus, let him do what he wishes. He does not sin. Let them marry.

BBEBut if, in any man's opinion, he is not doing what is right for his virgin, if she is past her best years, and there is need for it, let him do what seems right to him; it is no sin; let them be married.

MoffAt the same time, if any man considers he is not behaving properly to the maid who is his spiritual bride, if his passions are strong and if it must be so, then let him do what he wants — let them be married; it is no sin for him.

WymthIf, however, a father thinks he is acting unbecomingly towards his still unmarried daughter if she be past the bloom of her youth, and so the matter is urgent, let him do what she desires; he commits no sin; she and her suitor should be allowed to marry.

ASVBut if any man thinketh that he behaveth himself unseemly toward his virgin daughter, if she be past the flower of her age, and if need so requireth, let him do what he will; he sinneth not; let them marry.
