TSNTyndale Study Notes:

43:13-16 The holiness of the Temple area would be maintained by keeping sinners out and by the sacrificial system. The importance of this aspect of Temple life is made clear by the detailed description of the altar of the inner court, which was located at the center of the entire Temple complex. The altar shown to Ezekiel was almost three times as long and wide as the altar in front of the Tabernacle (see Exod 27:1-8).

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: translate-bdistance

(Occurrence 0) twelve cubits

(Some words not found in UHB: and,the,altar_hearth two/dual teen long in/on/at/with,two teen wide square to/towards four sides, its )

Each “long cubit” was about 54 centimeters. You may choose not to include this information if you give modern measurements instead of “cubits” as the UST does. See how you translated this in Ezekiel 40:5. Alternate translation: “about 2.2 meters”
