TSNTyndale Study Notes:

7:16-18 In contrast to the “peace offering of thanksgiving,” which was presented as an expression of thanks to the Lord (7:12-15), the offering to fulfill a vow related to a vow made by a worshiper. The festive meal that followed was more relaxed and could extend into the next day. However, because the vow offering involved a vow made to God, it was still more restrictive than the voluntary offering, which could even use a deformed animal (22:23).

UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / explicitinfo

וְהַנּוֹתָ֖ר מִבְּשַׂ֣ר הַזָּ֑בַח בַּיּוֹם֙ הַשְּׁלִישִׁ֔י בָּאֵ֖שׁ יִשָּׂרֵֽף׃

and,the,left_over of,meat the,sacrifice in_the=day the=third in/on/at/with,fire (Some words not found in UHB: and,the,left_over of,meat the,sacrifice in_the=day the=third in/on/at/with,fire burned_up )

It might seem that the expression will be burned with fire contains extra information that would be unnatural to express in your language. If so, you could use an equivalent expression. Alternate translation: “But the remainder from the meat of the sacrifice will be completely burned on the third day”

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / activepassive

וְהַנּוֹתָ֖ר מִבְּשַׂ֣ר הַזָּ֑בַח בַּיּוֹם֙ הַשְּׁלִישִׁ֔י בָּאֵ֖שׁ יִשָּׂרֵֽף׃

and,the,left_over of,meat the,sacrifice in_the=day the=third in/on/at/with,fire (Some words not found in UHB: and,the,left_over of,meat the,sacrifice in_the=day the=third in/on/at/with,fire burned_up )

If your language does not use the passive form in this way, you can state this in active form or in another way that is natural in your language. Alternate translation: “But the priests should burn the remainder of the meat of the sacrifice with fire on the third day”

וְהַנּוֹתָ֖ר מִבְּשַׂ֣ר הַזָּ֑בַח

and,the,left_over of,meat the,sacrifice

Alternate translation: “But the remaining meat from the sacrifice”

Note 3 topic: translate-ordinal

בַּיּוֹם֙ הַשְּׁלִישִׁ֔י

in_the=day the=third

The word third is the ordinal number for three. The day that the animal is sacrificed counts as the first day. Alternate translation: “after two days”
