15 An _ answer soft it _ turns_ away rage and _ word of _ hurt it _ raises anger .
2 [the] _ tongue of _ wise_ [people] it _ makes_ good knowledge and _ mouth of _ fools it _ pours_ forth foolishness .
3 In _ all place the _ eyes of _ YHWH [they _ are]_ watching evil _ [people] and _ good .
[fn ] 4 health of _ tongue [is] _ a_ tree of _ life and _ perverseness in/on/at/with _ it [is] _ brokenness in/on/at/with _ spirit .
5 A _ fool he _ spurns the _ discipline his/its _ father and _ heeds correction he _ is_ prudent .
6 [is _ the]_ house of _ a_ righteous_ [person] wealth great and _ in/on/at/with _ income of _ a_ wicked_ [person] [is] _ trouble .
7 [the] _ lips of _ wise_ [people] they _ scatter knowledge and _ hearts of _ fools [is] _ not right .
8 [the] _ sacrifice of _ wicked_ [people] [is] _ (the)_ abomination of _ YHWH and _ prayer of _ upright_ [people] delight _ his .
9 [is] _ (the)_ abomination of _ YHWH the _ way of _ a_ wicked_ [person] and _ pursues righteousness he _ loves .
10 Discipline bad for _ forsakes (of) _ [the]_ path [one _ who]_ hates correction he _ will_ die .
11 Shə ʼōl and _ abaddon [are] _ before YHWH indeed if/because [the] _ hearts of _ [the]_ children of _ humankind .
12 Not he _ loves a _ mocker reproof to _ him/it to wise _ [people] not he _ goes .
13 A _ heart joyful it _ makes_ good a _ face and _ in/on/at/with _ sorrow of _ heart a _ spirit [is] _ stricken .
14 A _ heart discerning it _ seeks knowledge and _ mouth [fn ] of _ fools it _ feeds_ on foolishness .
15 All [the] _ days of _ [the]_ afflicted [are] _ displeasing and _ good of _ heart [is] _ a_ feast continually .
16 [is] _ good a _ little in/on/at/with _ fear of _ YHWH than _ treasure great and _ turmoil in _ him/it .
17 [is] _ good a _ portion of _ vegetable[s] and _ love [is] _ there than _ ox fattened and _ hatred in _ him/it .
18 A _ person of _ rage he _ stirs_ up strife and _ slow [fn ] of _ anger(s) he _ makes_ quiet a _ dispute .
19 [the] _ way of _ a_ sluggard like _ hedge of _ thorn[s] and _ path of _ upright_ [people] [is] _ throw_ up .
20 A _ son wise he _ makes_ glad a _ father and _ foolish a _ person [is] _ despising his/its _ mother .
21 Foolishness [is] _ a_ joy to _ lacks of _ heart and _ person of _ understanding he _ makes_ straight to _ walk .
22 They _ go_ wrong plans in/on/at/with _ there _ is_ no counsel and _ in/on/at/with _ many of _ counselors it _ is_ established .
23 Joy to _ a_ man in/on/at/with _ answers mouth _ his and _ word in/on/at/with _ season _ its how good .
24 [the] _ path of _ life to _ upward for _ wise so _ as to _ turn_ aside from _ sheol beneath .
25 [the] _ house of _ proud_ [people] he _ tears_ down YHWH and _ maintains [the] _ territory of _ a_ widow .
26 [are] _ (the)_ abomination of _ YHWH [the] _ plans of _ an_ evil_ [person] and _ pure words of _ kindness .
27 [is] _ troubling house _ his [one _ who]_ gains_ unjustly unjust _ gain and _ hates gifts he _ will_ live .
28 [the] _ heart of _ a_ righteous_ [person] it _ considers to _ answer and _ mouth of _ wicked_ [people] it _ pours_ forth evil _ things .
29 [is] _ far YHWH from _ wicked and _ prayer of _ righteous_ [people] he _ hears .
30 Light of _ eyes it _ makes_ glad a _ heart a _ report good it _ makes_ fat [the] _ bone[s] .
31 An _ ear [which] _ hears[fn ] [fn ] correction of _ life in/on/at/with _ midst of _ wise_ [people] it _ will_ remain .
32 [one _ who]_ ignores discipline [fn ] [fn ] [is] _ rejecting self _ of_ him and _ listens correction [is] _ acquiring heart .
33 The _ fear of _ YHWH [is _ the]_ correction of _ wisdom and _ to/for honour humility .
