UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / metonymy

and=not profane DOM name_of holy,my

Here the word name represents Yahweh himself and his reputation and profane means to remove the honor that belongs to God as Creator and Lord of the universe. Alternate translation: “And you must not dishonor me, for I am holy” or “And you must not dishonor my holy reputation”

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / activepassive

and,sanctified in_the=middle sons_of Yisrael

If your language does not use the passive form in this way, you can state this in active form or in another way that is natural in your language. Alternate translation: “The people of Israel must treat me as holy”
