BSB § At that time Joshua invoked this solemn oath:
 ⇔ “Cursed before the LORD is the man who rises up
⇔ and rebuilds this city, Jericho;
 ⇔ at the cost of his firstborn
⇔ he will lay its foundations;
 ⇔ at the cost of his youngest
⇔ he will set up its gates.”[fn]

OEB At that time Joshua made them subscribe to this oath: Cursed be that man before Jehovah who undertakes to rebuild this city: With the loss of his firstborn shall he lay its foundation, And with the loss of his youngest son shall he set up its gates.

LUT Zu der Zeit schwur Josua und sprach: Verflucht sei der Mann vor dem HErrn; der diese Stadt Jericho aufrichtet und bauet! Wenn er ihren Grund leget, das koste ihn seinen ersten Sohn; und wenn er ihre Tore setzet, das koste ihn seinen jüngsten Sohn!
  (Zu the Zeit schwur Yosua and spoke: Verflucht be the man before/in_front_of to_him HErrn; the diese city Yericho aufrichtet and bauet! Wenn he your Grund leget, the koste him/it his ersten son; and when he ihre Tore setzet, the koste him/it his jüngsten son!)

CLV Maledictus vir coram Domino, qui suscitaverit et ædificaverit civitatem Jericho. In primogenito suo fundamenta illius jaciat, et in novissimo liberorum ponat portas ejus.
  (Maledictus man coram Domino, who suscitaverit and ædificaverit civitatem Yericho. In primogenito his_own fundamenta illius yaciat, and in novissimo liberorum ponat portas his. )

BRN And Joshua adjured them on that day before the Lord, saying, Cursed be the man who shall build that city: he shall lay the foundation of it in his first-born, and he shall set up the gates of it in his youngest son. And so did Hozan of Bæthel; he laid the foundation in Abiron his first-born, and set up the gates of it in his youngest [fn]surviving son.
