This is still a very early look into the unfinished text of the Open English Translation of the Bible. Please double-check the text in advance before using in public.
7:1 Teaching about judging
7 “Don’t judge others so that you won’t be judged yourselves, 2 [ref]because you’ll all be judged in the same way that you judge others. Whatever standard you use on others will be the same standard used on you. 3 And why are you looking at the speck in the eye of another person when you have a massive lump in your own eye? 4 How could you say to them, ‘Let me get the speck out of your eye,’ when the lump is still in your eye? 5 What a hypocrite! First get the lump out of your own eye and you’ll be able to see clearly so then you can help them with their eye.
6 “Don’t give special things to dogs and don’t pitch pearls to pigs, because they’ll all just trample them underfoot and then they’re just as likely to turn and attack you.
6:37 Don’t judge others
37 “Don’t judge others, then you definitely won’t be judged. Don’t condemn others, then you definitely won’t be condemned. 38 Give to others, and then you’ll be given to generously. The returned amount will be really packed in to the container and even overflowing, because however you measure things out for others, that’s how things will be measured out for you.”
39 [ref]Then Yeshua told them a parable: “Surely a blind person can’t be a guide for someone else who’s blind. Won’t both of them fall into a ditch? 40 [ref]A trainee isn’t above their teacher, but can become like their teacher once they’re fully trained.
41 “How come you notice the speck in someone else’s eye, yet don’t even notice the log that’s in your own eye? 42 How can you tell that person, ‘Hey, let me get that speck out of your eye,’ when you can’t even see the log in your eye? You hypocrite, get the log out of your eye and then you’ll be able to see clearly so you can remove the speck in the other person’s eye.
Mrk 4:24:
24 [ref]And he continued, “Take care what you listen to. Because how much you judge others, so too will judgement be handed out to you, and even more.
Mat 15:14:
14 [ref]Just ignore them. They are blind guides, and if blind people are leading the blind, both of them will stumble into a pit.”
Yhn 13:16:
16 [ref]I can assure you that a slave isn’t greater than his master, and an missionary isn’t greater than the king who sends him.
15:20:
20 [ref]Remember that I told you that slaves are not greater than their master. So if they persecuted me, they’ll also be persecuting you all. (If they’d obeyed my teaching, they would also obey your teaching.)
Mat 10:24-25:
24 [ref]“An apprentice is not above their teacher, nor is a slave above their master. 25 [ref]The apprentice is happy to eventually become like their teacher, and the slave to become like their master. If they accuse the home owner of being a devil, then that will apply to his followers even more.
