10:1 Yeshua commissions the twelve

(Mark 3:13-19, Luke 6:12-16)

10Then calling his twelve apprentices, he gave them authority over evil spirits so they could drive them out, and they could heal every disease and sickness. 2These are the names of the twelve: Simon (nicknamed Peter) and his brother Andrew, Yacob and his brother Yohan (the sons of Zebedee), 3Philip and Bartholomew, Thomas and Matthew the tax collector, Yacob (nicknamed Thaddeus, son of Alphaeus), 4Simon (member of the Caananites) and Yudas Iscariot (who eventually turned Yeshua in).

first Simōn which being_called Petros, and Andreas the brother of_him, and Yakōbos/(Yaˊₐqoⱱ) the son of_ the _Zebedaios, and Yōannaʸs the brother of_him,
3Filippos and Bartholomaios, Thōmas and Matthaios the tax_collector, Yakōbos the son of_ the _Alfaios also was Thaddaios, 4Simōn the member_of_Kananitaʸs and Youdas/(Yəhūdāh) the Iskariōtaʸs, who also having_given_ him _over.

10:5 Yeshua sends out the twelve

(Mark 6:7-13, Luke 9:1-6)

5Yeshua sent out these twelve, instructing them, “Don’t go onto the roads of non-Jews or into the city of Samaria, 6but rather go to the lost sheep who a descendants of Israel. 7As you go, announce to the people that the kingdom of the heavens is close. 8Heal those who need it, bring the dead back to life, get rid of leprosy, and drive evil spirits away. You all freely received, so give freely. 9Don’t accept any money for your wallets, 10[ref]and don’t take a backpack, or a change of clothes or footwear, or a staff, because a worker deserves to be fed.

11Whatever city or village you arrive at, look around to discover who is godly, and stay with them until you all leave. 12When you enter a home, bless it, 13and if the house is worthy of it, let your peace come onto it, but if not, let your peace return to you. 14[ref]If there’s any that don’t accept you or don’t want to hear your messages, shake the dust off your feet as you leave that house or city as a sign that you all accept no responsibility for them. 15[ref]I can assure you that it will be more tolerable for the towns of Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgement that it will be for those places.

5The Yaʸsous/(Yəhōshūˊa) sent_out these the twelve having_commanded to_them saying:
You_all_may_ not _go_away into the_way of_the_pagans, and you_all_may_ not _come_in into city of_the_Samareitaʸs/(Shomrōn),
6but rather be_going to the which having_lost sheep of_the_house of_Israaʸl/(Yisrāʼēl).
7And going be_proclaiming saying, that the kingdom of_the heavens /Has/_neared.
8Be_healing ailing ones, be_raising the_dead, be_cleansing the_lepers, be_throwing_out demons, you_all_received undeservedly, give undeservedly.
9You_all_may_ neither _acquire gold, nor silver, nor copper in the belts of_you_all, 10nor knapsack for the_way, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor staff, because/for the worker is worthy of_the food of_him.
11And into whatever wishfully city or village you_all_may_come_in, search_out who in it is worthy, and_ remain _there until wishfully you_all_may_come_out.
12And coming_in into the house, greet it.
13And if on_one_hand the house may_be worthy, let_ the peace of_you_all _come on it, on_the_other_hand if may_be not worthy, let_ the peace of_you_all _be_returned to you_all.
14And whoever wishfully may_ not _receive you_all, nor may_hear the messages of_you_all, coming_out out of_the house or the that city, shake_off the dust of_the feet of_you_all.
15Truly, I_am_saying to_you_all, it_will_be more_tolerable for_the_land of_Sodoma/(Şədom) and of_Gomorra/(ˊAmorāh) on the_day of_judgment, than the for_ that _city.

10:16 The coming persecution

(Mark 13:9-13, Luke 21:12-17)

16[ref]Look out, because I’m sending you out like sheep among the wolves, so you’ll all need to be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves. 17[ref]But watch out because there’s people that will turn you in to the councils and then you’ll be flogged in their meeting halls. 18You’ll be stood before governors and even kings on my account, but it’ll be a testimony to them and to the non-Jews. 19However, whenever they turn you in, you don’t need to worry about what to say or how to say it, because whatever you all need to say will be given to you at the right time, 20because you won’t be the ones speaking, but it’ll be your father’s spirit speaking through you.

21[ref]One sibling will turn in another to be executed, and a father his child, and children will be rebelling against their parents and having them put to death. 22[ref]You all will be hated by everyone because of my name, but the ones who endure until the end, they are the ones who will be saved. 23Whenever they persecute you in one city, escape to the next city, because I can assure you that you won’t get through all the cities in Israel before humanity’s child comes.

24[ref]An apprentice is not above their teacher, nor is a slave above their master. 25[ref]The apprentice is happy to eventually become like their teacher, and the slave to become like their master. If they accuse the home owner of being a devil, then that will apply to his followers even more.

16Behold, I am_sending_ you_all _out as sheep in the_midst of_wolves, therefore be_becoming shrewd as the serpents and innocent as the doves.
17But be_taking_heed of the people, because/for they_will_be_giving_ you_all _over into councils, and they_will_be_flogging you_all in the synagogues of_them, 18and you_all_will_be_being_brought before governors and also kings on_account me, because/for a_testimony to_them and to_the pagans.
19But whenever they_may_give_ you_all _over, you_all_may_ not _worry how or what you_all_may_speak, because/for what you_all_may_speak will_be_being_given to_you_all in that the hour.
20For/Because you_all are not the ones speaking, but the spirit of_the father of_you_all which speaking in you_all.
21And brother will_be_giving_over brother to death, and father child, and children will_be_rising_up against parents, and they_will_be_putting_ them _to_death.
22And you_all_will_be being_hated by all because_of the name of_me, but the one having_endured to the_end, this one will_be_being_saved.
23But whenever they_may_be_persecuting you_all in the this city, be_fleeing to the next, because/for, truly I_am_saying to_you_all, by_no_means you_all_may_ not _finish the cities of_the Israaʸl/(Yisrāʼēl), until the son of_ the _man may_come.
24A_apprentice/follower is not above the teacher, nor a_slave above the master of_him.
25it_is Sufficient for_the apprentice/follower that he_may_become as the teacher of_him, and the slave as the master of_him.
If they_called the home_owner Beʼelzeboul, to_how_much more the household of_him?

10:26 Who to fear

(Luke 12:2-7)

26[ref]Therefore don’t be afraid of them, because nothing is covered up that won’t eventually be revealed, and nothing is hidden that won’t be made known. 27Anything that I tell you all in the darkness, speak it out in the light, and what you hear whispered, go and yell it out from up on the top porch. 28Don’t be afraid of anyone who can kill your body but who can’t touch your soul, but rather work to please the one who can destroy both soul and body in fire. 29Aren’t two sparrows sold for almost nothing? Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your father being involved. 30For you all, even hair on your head has been counted, 31so don’t worry about things, because you are more valuable than any sparrows.

26Therefore be_ not _afraid of_them, because/for nothing is having_been_covered which will_ not _be_being_revealed, and hidden which will_ not _be_being_known.
27What I_am_telling to_you_all in the darkness, speak in the light, and what you_all_are_hearing in the ear, proclaim on the housetops.
28And be_ not _afraid of the ones killing_off the body, but not being_able to_kill_off the soul, but rather be_fearing the one being_able to_destroy both soul and body in geenna.
29Not two sparrows is_being_sold for_an_assarion_coin?
And not one of them will_be_falling to the ground, apart_from the father of_you_all.
30But the hairs of_the head of_you_all also are having_ all _been_numbered.
31Therefore be_ not _fearing, you_all are_carrying_value than many sparrows.

10:32 Acknowledging the messiah

(Luke 12:8-9)

32Everyone who acknowledges in front of others that they’re my followers, then I will also acknowledge them in front of my father who is in the heavens, 33[ref]but anyone who disowns me in front of others, then I will also disown them in front of my father who is in the heavens.

32Therefore everyone who will_be_confessing in me before the people, also_I will_be_confessing in him before the father of_me who is in the_heavens.
33But whoever may_disown me before the people, also_I will_be_disowning him before the father of_me who is in the_heavens.

10:34 Don’t expect peace

(Luke 12:51-53)

34Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth. No, I came to bring war not peace, 35[ref]because I came to divide a son against his father and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law 36and person to become an enemy of their own household.

37Anyone who loves their father or mother more than they love me is not worthy of being mine, and anyone who loves their son or daughter more than they love me is not worthy of being mine. 38[ref]Anyone who doesn’t pick up their own execution stake and carry it as they follow me, is not worthy of being mine. 39[ref]Anyone who has found their life will lose it, and anyone who loses their life because of following me, will find it.

34You_all_may_ not _think that I_came to_bring peace to the earth, I_came not to_bring peace, but a_sword.
35For/Because I_came to_divide a_man against the father of_him, and a_daughter against the mother of_her, and a_daughter-in-law against the mother_in_law of_her 36and enemies of_the person the household of_him.
37The one loving father or mother above me, is not worthy of_me, and the one loving son or daughter above me, is not worthy of_me.
38And who is_ not _taking the stake of_him and is_following after me, is not worthy of_me.
39The one having_found the life of_him will_be_losing it, and the one having_lost the life of_him on_account me will_be_finding it.

10:40 Acceptance rewards

(Mark 9:41)

40[ref]Anyone who accepts you is accepting me, and anyone who accepts me is accepting the one who sent me down here. 41Anyone who accepts a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive the reward of a prophet, and anyone who accepts a godly person in the name of a godly person will receive the reward of a godly person. 42Anyone who as a follower of me gives a cup of cool water to one of these little ones to drink, I’m telling you that that person certainly won’t lose their reward.

40The one receiving you_all is_receiving me, and the one receiving me is_receiving the one having_sent_ me _out.
41The one receiving a_prophet in name of_a_prophet, will_be_receiving the_reward of_a_prophet, and the one receiving a_righteous one in the_name of_a_righteous one, will_be_receiving the_reward of_a_righteous one.
42And whoever if may_give_to_drink one of_ the _these of_little ones a_cup of_cool water, only in the_name of_a_apprentice/follower, truly, I_am_saying to_you_all, by_no_means he_may_ not _lose the reward of_him.
