10 Then, calling his twelve apprentices, he gave them authority over evil spirits so they could drive them out and heal every disease and sickness. 2 These are the names of the twelve: Simon (nicknamed Peter) and his brother Andrew, Yacob and his brother Yohan (Zebedee’s sons), 3 Philip and Bartholomew, Thomas, and Matthew the tax collector, Yacob (nicknamed Thaddeus, Alfaeus’s son), 4 Simon (the member of the Canaanites), and Yudas Iscariot (who eventually turned Yeshua in).

10 And having _called _to the twelve apprentices/followers of _him, he _gave authority to _them over_ unclean _spirits, so _as to _be _throwing_ them _out and to _be _healing every disease and every sickness.
2 And the of_the_twelve ambassadors the names is these:
first Simōn which being _called Petros, and Andreas the brother of _him, and Yakōbos/(Yaˊₐqoⱱ) the son of_ the _Zebedaios, and Yōannaʸs the brother of _him, 3 Filippos and Bartholomaios, Thōmas and Matthaios the tax _collector, Yakōbos the son of_ the _Alfaios and Thaddaios, 4 Simōn the member _of _Kananitaʸs and Youdas/(Yəhūdāh) the Iskariōtaʸs, who also having _given_ him _over.

10:5 Yeshua sends out the twelve

(Mark 6:7-13, Luke 9:1-6)

5 Yeshua sent out those twelve, instructing them, “Don’t go onto the roads non-Jews use, or into the city of Samaria, 6 but rather go to the lost sheep who are Yisrael’s descendants. 7 As you go, announce to the people that the heavenly kingdom is close. 8 Heal those who need it, bring the dead back to life, get rid of leprosy, and drive evil spirits away. You apprentices received free of charge, so give free of charge. 9 Don’t accept any money for your wallets, 10 [ref]and don’t take a backpack, or a change of clothes or footwear, or a staff, because a worker deserves to be fed.

11 “Whatever city or village you apprentices arrive at, look around to discover who’s godly, and stay with them until you leave. 12 When you enter a home, bless it, 13 and if the house is worthy of it, your peace is to come into it, but if not, your peace is to return to you. 14 [ref]If there’s any that don’t accept you or don’t want to hear your messages, shake the dust off your feet as you leave that house or city, as a sign that you apprentices accept no responsibility for them. 15 [ref]I can assure you that it’ll be more tolerable for the towns of Sodom and Amorah (Gomorrah) on the day of judgement than it will be for those places.

5 The Yaʸsous/(Yəhōshūˊa) sent _out these the twelve having _commanded to _them saying:
You _all _may_ not _go _away into the_way of_the_pagans, and you _all _may_ not _come _in into city of_the_Samareitaʸs/(Shomrōn), 6 but rather be _going to the which having _lost sheep of_the_house of _Israaʸl/(Yisrā^ʼēl).
7 And going be _proclaiming saying, that the kingdom of _the heavens ˓Has˒_neared.
8 Be _healing ailing ones, be _raising the_dead, be _cleansing the_lepers, be _throwing _out demons, you _all _received undeservedly, give undeservedly.
9 You _all _may_ neither _acquire gold, nor silver, nor copper in the belts of _you _all, 10 nor knapsack for the_way, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor staff, because/for the worker is worthy of _the food of _him.
11 And into whatever wishfully city or village you _all _may _come _in, search _out who in it is worthy, and_ remain _there until wishfully you _all _may _come _out.
12 And coming _in into the house, greet it.
13 And if on _one _hand the house may _be worthy, let_ the peace of _you _all _come on it, on _the _other _hand if may _be not worthy, let_ the peace of _you _all _be _returned to you _all.
14 And whoever wishfully may_ not _receive you _all, nor may _hear the messages of _you _all, coming _out out of _the house or the that city, shake _off the dust of _the feet of _you _all.
15 Truly, I _am _saying to _you _all, it _will _be more _tolerable for_the_land of_Sodoma/(Şədom) and of _Gomorra/(ˊAmorāh) on the_day of _judgement, than the for_ that _city.

10:16 The coming persecution

(Mark 13:9-13, Luke 21:12-17)

16 [ref]“Look out, because I’m sending you out like sheep among wolves, so you’ll need to be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves. 17 [ref]But watch out, because there’s people who’ll turn you in to the councils, and then you’ll be flogged in their meeting halls. 18 You’ll be stood in front of governors and even kings on my account, but it’ll be a testimony to them and to the non-Jews. 19 However, whenever they turn you in, you don’t need to worry about what to say or how to say it, because whatever you apprentices need to say will be given to you at the right time, 20 because you won’t be the ones speaking, but it’ll be your father’s spirit speaking through you.

21 [ref]“One sibling will turn another in to be executed, and a father his child, and children will be rebelling against their parents and having them put to death. 22 [ref]You apprentices will be hated by everyone because of my name, but the ones who endure until the end, they’re the ones who’ll be saved. 23 Whenever they persecute you in one city, escape to the next city, because I can assure you that you won’t get through all the cities in Yisrael before humanity’s child comes.

24 [ref]“An apprentice isn’t above their teacher, nor is a slave above their master. 25 [ref]The apprentice is happy to eventually become like their teacher, and the slave to become like their master. If they accuse the home owner of being a devil, then they’ll do that even more to other members of his household.

16 Behold, I am _sending_ you _all _out as sheep in the_midst of _wolves, therefore be _becoming shrewd as the serpents and innocent as the doves.
17 But be _taking _heed of the people, because/for they _will _be _giving_ you _all _over into councils, and they _will _be _flogging you _all in the synagogues of _them, 18 and you _all _will _be _being _brought before governors and also kings on _account me, because/for a_testimony to _them and to _the pagans.
19 But whenever they _may _give_ you _all _over, you _all _may_ not _worry how or what you _all _may _speak, because/for what you _all _may _speak will _be _being _given to _you _all in that the hour.
20 For/Because you _all are not the ones speaking, but the spirit of _the father of _you _all which speaking in you _all.
21 And brother will _be _giving _over brother to death, and father child, and children will _be _rising _up against parents, and they _will _be _putting_ them _to _death.
22 And you _all _will _be being _hated by all because _of the name of _me, but the one having _endured to the_end, this one will _be _being _saved.
23 But whenever they _may _be _persecuting you _all in the this city, be _fleeing to the next, because/for, truly I _am _saying to _you _all, by _no _means you _all _may_ not _finish the cities of _the Israaʸl/(Yisrā^ʼēl), until the son of_ the _man may _come.
24 A_apprentice/follower is not above the teacher, nor a_slave above the master of _him.
25 it _is Sufficient for _the apprentice/follower that he _may _become as the teacher of _him, and the slave as the master of _him.
If they _called the home _owner Beʼelzeboul, to _how _much more the household of _him?

10:26 Who to fear

(Luke 12:2-7)

26 [ref]“Therefore, don’t be afraid of them, because nothing’s covered up that won’t eventually be revealed, and nothing’s hidden that won’t be made known. 27 Whatever I tell you apprentices in the darkness, speak it out in the light, and what you hear whispered, go and yell it out from up on the top porch. 28 Don’t be afraid of anyone who can kill your body but who can’t touch your soul, but rather work to please the one who can destroy both soul and body in fire. 29 Aren’t two sparrows sold for almost nothing? Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your father being involved. 30 For you apprentices, even the hairs on your head have been counted, 31 so don’t worry about things, because you’re more valuable than any sparrows.

26 Therefore be_ not _afraid of _them, because/for nothing is having _been _covered which ˓will˒_ not _be _being _revealed, and hidden which ˓will˒_ not _be _being _known.
27 What I _am _telling to _you _all in the darkness, speak in the light, and what you _all _are _hearing in the ear, proclaim on the housetops.
28 And be_ not _afraid of the ones killing _off the body, but not being _able to _kill _off the soul, but rather be _fearing the one being _able to _destroy both soul and body in geenna.
29 Not two sparrows is _being _sold for_an_assarion_coin?
And not one of them will _be _falling to the ground, apart _from the father of _you _all.
30 But the hairs of _the head of _you _all also are having_ all _˓been˒_numbered.
31 Therefore be_ not _fearing, you _all are _carrying _value than many sparrows.

10:32 Acknowledging the messiah

(Luke 12:8-9)

32 “If someone acknowledges me in front of others, then I’ll acknowledge them in front of my father who’s in the heavens, 33 [ref]but if anyone disowns me in front of others, then I’ll disown them in front of my father who’s in the heavens.

32 Therefore everyone who will _be _confessing in me before the people, also _I will _be _confessing in him before the father of _me who is in the_heavens.
33 But whoever may _disown me before the people, also _I will _be _disowning him before the father of _me who is in the_heavens.

10:34 Don’t expect peace

(Luke 12:51-53)

34 “Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth. No, I came to bring war, not peace, 35 [ref]because I came to divide a son against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law, 36 and people will have enemies in their own households.

37 “Anyone who loves their father or mother more than they love me is not worthy of being mine, and anyone who loves their son or daughter more than they love me is not worthy of being mine. 38 [ref]Anyone who doesn’t pick up their own execution post, and carry it as they follow me, is not worthy of being mine. 39 [ref]Anyone who’s found their life will lose it, and anyone who loses their life because of following me will find it.

34 You _all _may_ not _think that I _came to _bring peace to the earth, I _came not to _bring peace, but a_sword.
35 For/Because I _came to _divide a_man against the father of _him, and a_daughter against the mother of _her, and a_daughter-in-law against the mother _in _law of _her 36 and enemies of _the person the household of _him.
37 The one loving father or mother above me, is not worthy of _me, and the one loving son or daughter above me, is not worthy of _me.
38 And who is_ not _taking the stake of _him and is _following after me, is not worthy of _me.
39 The one having _found the life of _him will _be _losing it, and the one having _lost the life of _him on _account me will _be _finding it.

10:40 Acceptance rewards

(Mark 9:41)

40 [ref]Anyone who accepts you is accepting me, and anyone who accepts me is accepting the one who sent me down here. 41 Anyone who accepts a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive the reward of a prophet, and anyone who accepts a godly person in the name of a godly person will receive the reward of a godly person. 42 Anyone who as a follower of me gives a cup of cool water to one of these little ones to drink, I’m telling you that that person certainly won’t lose their reward.
