BSB I had planted you like a choice vine
⇔ from the very best seed.
 ⇔ How could you turn yourself before Me
⇔ into a rotten, wild vine?

OEB Yet I as a choice vine had planted thee–
⇔ Sound was thy stock altogether;
 ⇔ But now art thou turned to be bitter,
⇔ Thou wild degenerate vine!

WEB Yet I had planted you a noble vine,
⇔ a pure and faithful seed.
⇔ How then have you turned into the degenerate branches of a foreign vine to me?

NET I planted you in the land
 ⇔ like a special vine of the very best stock.
 ⇔ Why in the world have you turned into something like a wild vine
 ⇔ that produces rotten, foul-smelling grapes?
