BSB This is what the LORD says:
 ⇔ “What fault did your fathers find in Me
⇔ that they strayed so far from Me,
 ⇔ and followed worthless idols,
⇔ and became worthless themselves?

OEB Thus saith Jehovah:
 ⇔ What wrong did your fathers discover in Me,
⇔ That they went from Me afar,
 ⇔ To follow after vanities,
⇔ Till they, too, became a vanity,

WEB Yahweh says,
 ⇔ “What unrighteousness have your fathers found in me,
⇔ that they have gone far from me,
 ⇔ and have walked after worthless vanity,
⇔ and have become worthless?

WMB The LORD says,
 ⇔ “What unrighteousness have your fathers found in me,
⇔ that they have gone far from me,
 ⇔ and have walked after worthless vanity,
⇔ and have become worthless?

NET This is what the Lord says:
 ⇔ “What fault could your ancestors have possibly found in me
 ⇔ that they strayed so far from me?
 ⇔ They paid allegiance to worthless idols, and so became worthless to me.

LSV Thus said YHWH: “What perversity have your fathers found in Me,
That they have gone far off from Me,
And go after vanity, and become vain,

FBV This is what the Lord says: What did your forefathers think was wrong with me that they went so far away from me? They went off to worship useless idols, and as a result became useless themselves!

T4T listen to what Yahweh says:

WYC The Lord seith these thingis, What of wickidnesse foundun youre fadris in me, for thei yeden fer awey fro me, and yeden after vanyte, and weren maad veyn?

LUT So spricht der HErr: Was haben doch eure Väter Fehls an mir gehabt, daß sie von mir wichen und hingen an den unnützen Götzen, da sie doch nichts erlangeten,
