4 and _ Mēyshaˊ the _ king_ ofMōʼāⱱ he _ wasa _ sheep-breederand _ he _ returnedto _ the _ king_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) one _ hundredthousand lambs and _ one _ hundredthousand rams wool .
5 And _ he/it _ wasjust _ as _ died_ ofʼAḩʼāⱱ and _ the _ king_ of_ he _ rebelledof _ Mōʼāⱱagainst _ the _ king_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) .
6 And _ he/it _ went_ outthe _ king Yə hōrām in _ the_ day (the) _ that from _ Shomrōn and _ he _ musteredDOM all _ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) .
7 And _ he/it _ wentand _ he _ sentto Yə hōshāfāţ the _ king_ ofYə hūdāh to _ say the _ king_ ofMōʼāⱱ he _ has_ rebelledagainst _ me will _ you _ gowith _ me against Mōʼāⱱ for _ battle and _ he/it _ saidI _ will_ go_ upas _ me as _ you as _ my _ of_ people as _ your _ of_ people as _ my _ of_ horses as _ your(pl) _ of_ horses .
8 And _ he/it _ saidwhere this is _ the_ way which _ we_ will_ go_ upand _ he/it _ saidthe _ way_ ofthe _ wilderness_ ofʼEdōm .
9 And _ the _ king_ of_ he/it _ wentof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)and _ the _ king_ ofYə hūdāh/(Judah) [fn ] and _ the _ king_ ofʼEdōm and _ they _ went_ arounda _ journey_ ofseven _ ofdays and _ not it _ belongedwater to _ army and _ to _ animal[s] which was _ at_ their _ of_ feet .
10 And _ the _ king_ of_ he/it _ saidof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)alas if/because he _ has_ summonedYHWH (to) _ the_ three _ of[fn ] the _ kings the _ these to _ give them in _ the _ hand_ ofMōʼāⱱ .
11 And _ Yə hōshāfāţ/(Jehoshaphat) _ he/it _ saidis _ there_ not here a _ prophetto/for _ YHWH so _ that _ we_ may_ consultDOM YHWH from _ DOM _ him and _ he _ answeredone of _ the _ servants_ ofof _ the_ king_ ofof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)and _ he/it _ saidis _ hereʼElīshāˊ the _ son_ ofShāfāţ who he _ pouredwater on the _ hands_ ofʼĒliyyāh .
12 And _ Yə hōshāfāţ _ he/it _ said(there) is _ DOM _ him the _ message_ ofYHWH and _ they _ went_ downto _ him/it the _ king_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ Yə hōshāfāţ and _ the _ king_ ofʼEdōm .
13 And _ ʼElīshāˊ _ he/it _ saidto the _ king_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) what to/for _ me and _ to _ you go to the _ prophets_ ofI _ will_ show_ you(ms) and _ near/to the _ prophets_ ofyour _ mother_ of_ of and _ he/it _ saidto _ him/it the _ king_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) no if/because he _ has_ summonedYHWH (to) _ the_ three _ ofthe _ kings the _ these to _ give them in _ the _ hand_ ofMōʼāⱱ .
14 And _ ʼElīshāˊ _ he/it _ saidby _ the_ lifeof _ YHWH hosts whom I _ standbefore _ him if/because if _ notthe _ face_ ofYə hōshāfāţ the _ king_ ofYə hūdāh/(Judah) I am _ lifting_ upif I _ will_ lookto _ you and _ if I _ will _ see_ you15 And _ now fetch to _ me a _ musicianand _ it _ wasjust _ as _ playedthe _ musician and _ it _ becameon/upon/above _ him/it the _ hand_ ofYHWH 16 And _ he/it _ saidthus YHWH he _ saysmake the _ wadi the _ this ditches ditches .
17 If/because thus YHWH he _ saysnot you(pl) _ will_ seewind and _ not you(pl) _ will_ seerain and _ the _ wadi (the) _ that it _ will_ be_ filledwater and _ you(pl) _ will_ drinkyou(pl) and _ your(pl) _ of_ livestock and _ your _ of_ animal[s] .
18 And _ it _ will_ be_ triflingthis in/on _ both _ eyes_ ofYHWH and _ he/it _ gaveDOM Mōʼāⱱ in _ your _ of_ hand .
19 And _ you(pl) _ will_ attackevery _ ofcity _ offortification and _ all city _ ofchoice and _ all tree good you(pl) _ will_ make_ falland _ all the _ springs_ ofwater you(pl) _ will_ stop_ upand _ all/each/any/every (the) _ portion_ land (the) _ good you(pl) _ will_ spoilwith _ stones .
20 And _ he/it _ wasin _ morning just _ as _ went_ upthe _ offering and _ see/lo/see waters were _ comingfrom _ the _ direction_ ofʼEdōm and _ she/it _ was_ filledthe _ earth/land DOM the _ waters .
21 And _ all Mōʼāⱱ they _ had_ heardif/because _ thatthey _ had_ come_ upthe _ kings to _ fight against _ them and _ they _ were_ summonedfrom _ all one _ who_ girds_ on_ ofa _ beltand _ (to) _ upwards and _ they _ took_ their_ standat the _ border .
22 And _ they _ rose_ earlyin _ morning and _ the _ sun it _ shoneon the _ waters and _ Mōʼāⱱ _ they _ sawfrom _ before DOM the _ waters red like _ blood .
23 And _ they _ saidis _ bloodthis surely _ (fight)they _ have_ fought_ one_ anotherthe _ kings and _ they _ have_ struck_ downeach DOM his/its _ neighbour and _ now to _ plunder Oh _ Mōʼāⱱ24 And _ they _ cameto the _ camp_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) _ they _ aroseand _ they _ attackedDOM Mōʼāⱱ and _ they _ fledfrom _ their _ face/front and _ they _ attacked[fn ] (in) _ it and _ they _ defeatedDOM Mōʼāⱱ .
25 And _ the _ cities they _ tore_ downand _ all portion _ of_ landgood they _ threweach stone _ of_ his and _ they _ filled _ itand _ all spring _ ofwater they _ stopped_ upand _ all tree good they _ made_ falluntil he _ left_ behindstones _ of_ its in hareseth and _ they _ surrounded_ the _ slingers and _ they _ attacked _ it26 And _ the _ king_ of_ he/it _ sawof _ Mōʼāⱱif/because _ thatit _ was_ too _ strongfrom _ him/it the _ battle and _ he/it _ tookwith _ him seven hundred(s) man who _ drew_ ofa _ swordto _ break _ throughto the _ king_ ofʼEdōm and _ not they _ were_ able27 And _ he/it _ tookDOM his/its _ son the _ firstborn who he _ will_ reignin _ place _ of_ himand _ he _ offered _ him_ upa _ burnt_ offeringon the _ wall and _ severe _ anger_ he/it _ wasgreat towards Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ they _ set_ outfrom _ on _ him and _ they _ returnedto _ land .
