4 and _ Mēyshaˊ the _ king_ ofMōʼāⱱ he _ wasa _ sheep-breederand _ deliver to _ king _ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) one _ hundredthousand lambs and _ one _ hundredthousand rams wool .
5 And _ he/it _ waswhen _ died _ ofʼAḩʼāⱱ and _ the _ king_ of_ rebelled of _ Mōʼāⱱin/on/at/with _ king _ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) .
6 And _ he/it _ went_ outthe _ king Yə hōrām/(Jehoram) in _ the_ day (the) _ that from _ Shomrōn and _ mustered DOM all _ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) .
7 And _ he/it _ wentand _ sent to Yə hōshāfāţ the _ king_ ofYə hūdāh to _ say the _ king_ ofMōʼāⱱ he _ has_ rebelledin/on/at/with _ me go with _ me against Mōʼāⱱ to _ the_ fight and _ he/it _ saidI _ will_ go_ upso _ I as _ you so _ people _ of_ my as _ people _ of_ your so _ horses _ of_ my as _ horses _ of_ your .
8 And _ he/it _ saidwhere this the _ way [which] _ we_ will_ go_ upand _ he/it _ saidthe _ way_ ofthe _ wilderness_ ofʼEdōm .
9 And _ the _ king_ of_ he/it _ wentof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)and _ king _ ofYə hūdāh/(Judah) [fn ] and _ king _ ofʼEdōm and _ made _ marcha _ journey_ ofseven _ ofdays and _ not it _ belongedwater for _ the_ army and _ for _ the_ animals which in/on/at/with _ feet _ of_ them .
10 And _ the _ king_ of_ he/it _ saidof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)alas if/because he _ has_ summonedYHWH for _ three _ of[fn ] the _ kings the _ these to _ give DOM _ them in/on/at/with _ hand _ ofMōʼāⱱ .
11 And _ Yə hōshāfāţ/(Jehoshaphat) _ he/it _ saidis _ there_ nohere a _ prophetto/for _ YHWH and _ inquire _ ofDOM YHWH through _ DOM _ him and _ answered one of _ servants _ ofof _ the_ king_ ofof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)and _ he/it _ said[is] _ hereʼElīshāˊ the _ son_ ofShāfāţ who he _ pouredwater on the _ hands_ ofʼĒliyyāh .
12 And _ Yə hōshāfāţ _ he/it _ said(there) DOM _ him the _ word_ ofYHWH and _ went _ downto _ him/it the _ king_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ Yə hōshāfāţ and _ king _ ofʼEdōm .
13 And _ ʼElīshāˊ _ he/it _ saidto the _ king_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) what to/for _ me and _ to _ you go to the _ prophets_ ofI _ will_ show_ you(ms) and _ near/to the _ prophets_ ofmother _ of_ your and _ he/it _ saidto _ him/it the _ king_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) no if/because he _ has_ summonedYHWH for _ three _ ofthe _ kings the _ these to _ give DOM _ them in/on/at/with _ hand _ ofMōʼāⱱ .
14 And _ ʼElīshāˊ _ he/it _ said[by] _ the_ lifeof _ YHWH hosts whom I _ standbefore _ face/front _ him if/because if _ notthe _ face_ ofYə hōshāfāţ the _ king_ ofYə hūdāh/(Judah) I [am] _ lifting_ upif I _ will_ lookat _ you and _ if see _ you .
15 And _ now fetch to _ me a _ musicianand _ it _ waswhile _ played the _ musician and _ it _ becameon/upon/above _ him/it the _ hand_ ofYHWH 16 And _ he/it _ saidthus YHWH he _ saysmake the _ wadi the _ this ditches ditches .
17 If/because thus YHWH he _ saysnot you _ all_ will_ seewind and _ not you _ all_ will_ seerain and _ the _ wadi (the) _ that it _ will_ be_ filledwater and _ drink you _ alland _ cattle _ of_ your _ all’sand _ animals _ of_ your _ all’s18 And _ a _ triflethis in/on _ both _ eyes_ ofYHWH and _ he/it _ gaveDOM Mōʼāⱱ in/on/at/with _ hand _ of_ you _ all19 And _ attack every _ ofcity _ offortification and _ all city _ ofchoice and _ all tree good you _ all_ will_ make_ falland _ all [the] _ springs_ ofwater you _ all_ will_ stop_ upand _ all/each/any/every the _ land the _ good you _ all_ will_ spoilin/on/at/with _ stones .
20 And _ he/it _ wasin/on/at/with _ morning about _ the_ time_ offering the _ sacrifice and _ see/lo/see waters [were] _ comingfrom _ direction _ ofʼEdōm and _ she/it _ was_ filledthe _ earth/land DOM the _ waters .
21 And _ all Mōʼāⱱ they _ had_ heardif/because _ thatthey _ had_ come_ upthe _ kings to _ fight in/on/at/with _ them and _ summoned from _ all [one _ who]_ girds_ on_ ofa _ beltand _ upward and _ stood at the _ border .
22 And _ rose _ earlyin/on/at/with _ morning and _ the _ sun it _ shoneon the _ waters and _ Mōʼāⱱ _ they _ sawfrom _ opposite DOM the _ waters red as _ as_ the_ blood .
23 And _ they _ said[is] _ bloodthis surely _ (fight)they _ have_ fought_ one_ anotherthe _ kings and _ killed each DOM his/its _ neighbour and _ now to _ the_ spoil Oh _ Mōʼāⱱ24 And _ they _ cameto the _ camp_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) _ rose _ upand _ attacked DOM Mōʼāⱱ and _ fled from _ their _ face/front and _ went _ forward[fn ] in/on/at/with _ her and _ defeated DOM Mōʼāⱱ .
25 And _ the _ cities they _ tore_ downand _ all portion _ of_ landgood they _ threweach stone _ of_ him and _ covered _ it and _ all spring _ ofwater they _ stopped_ upand _ all tree good they _ made_ falluntil he _ left_ behindstones _ of_ its in/on/at/with _ Qīr- hareseth and _ surrounded the _ slingers and _ attacked _ it .
26 And _ the _ king_ of_ he/it _ sawof _ Mōʼāⱱif/because _ thatit _ was_ [too]_ strongfrom _ him/it the _ battle and _ he/it _ tookwith _ him seven hundred(s) man [who] _ drew_ ofa _ swordto _ break _ throughto the _ king_ ofʼEdōm and _ not they _ were_ able27 And _ he/it _ tookDOM his/its _ son the _ firstborn who he _ will_ reignin _ place_ his and _ offered _ him a _ burnt_ offeringon the _ wall and _ severe _ anger_ he/it _ wasgreat towards Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ withdrew from _ against _ him and _ returned to _ their_ own_ land .
