4 He he _ removedDOM the _ high _ placesand _ smashed DOM the _ sacred _ pillarsand _ cut _ downDOM the _ ʼₐshērāh _ polesand _ broke _ in_ piecesthe _ snakethe _ bronze which he _ had_ madeMosheh if/because until the _ days the _ those they _ werethe _ peopleof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)making _ smoketo _ him/it and _ he/it _ calledto _ him/it Nə ḩushtāʼn .
5 In/on/at/with _ LORD the _ godof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)he _ trustedand _ after _ him not anyone _ waslike _ him in/on/at/with _ all the _ kingsof _ Yə hūdāhand _ which they _ werebefore _ face/front _ him .
6 And _ held _ fastin/on/at/with _ LORD not he _ turned_ asidefrom _ following _ him and _ kept commandments _ his which he _ had_ commandedYHWH DOM Mosheh .
7 And _ it _ wasYHWH with _ him/it in/on/at/with _ all that he _ went_ outhe _ prosperedand _ rebelled in/on/at/with _ king of _ ʼAshshūrand _ not serve _ him .
8 He he _ defeatedDOM [the] _ Fə lishtiyto ˊAzzāh and _ DOM territory _ its from _ tower _ ofwatchmen unto a _ cityof _ fortification9 and _ he/it _ wasin/on/at/with _ year the _ fourth to/for _ the _ kingḨizqiyyāh it the _ year the _ seventh of _ Hōshēˊa the _ sonof _ ʼĒlāhthe _ kingof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)he _ came_ upShalmanʼeşer the _ kingof _ ʼAshshūron Shomrōn and _ he/it _ laid_ siegeagainst _ it .
10 And _ captured _ it at _ end of _ threeyears in _ year six of _ Ḩizqiyyāh it [was] _ yearnine of _ Hōshēˊa the _ kingof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)it _ was_ capturedShomrōn .
11 And _ deported the _ kingof _ ʼAshshūrDOM Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) ʼAshshūr _ to and _ settled _ them in/on/at/with _ Ḩₐlaḩ and _ in/on/at/with _ Ḩāⱱōr the _ riverof _ Gōzānand _ cities of _ Māday12 On that not they _ had_ listenedin/on/at/with _ voice of _ YHWH god _ their and _ transgressed DOM covenant _ his DOM all that he _ had_ commandedMosheh the _ servantof _ YHWH and _ not they _ listenedand _ not they _ did13 and _ in/on/at/with _ four _ ofteen year to/for _ the _ kingḨizqiyyāh he _ came_ upanḩērīⱱ the _ kingof _ ʼAshshūron all the _ citiesof _ Yə hūdāh/(Judah)the _ fortified and _ captured _ them .
14 And _ sent Ḩizqiyyāh the _ kingof _ Yə hūdāhto the _ kingof _ ʼAshshūrLākīsh _ at to _ say I _ have_ sinnedturn _ backfrom _ against _ me DOM [that] _ whichyou _ will_ puton _ me I _ will_ bearand _ he/it _ assignedthe _ kingof _ ʼAshshūron Ḩizqiyyāh the _ kingof _ Yə hūdāhthree hundred(s) talent[s] of _ silverand _ thirty talent[s] of _ gold15 And _ he/it _ gaveḨizqiyyāh DOM all the _ silver the _ found the _ houseof _ YHWH and _ in/on/at/with _ treasuries of _ the_ housethe _ king’s .
16 In/on/at/with _ time the _ that he _ cut_ offḨizqiyyāh DOM the _ doorsof _ the_ templeof _ YHWH and _ DOM the _ doorposts which he _ had_ overlaidḨizqiyyāh the _ kingof _ Yə hūdāhand _ gave _ it to _ king of _ ʼAshshūr17 and _ sent the _ kingof _ ʼAshshūrDOM [the] _ commander_ in_ chiefand _ DOM [the] _ Rab-saris and _ DOM [the] _ Rab-shaqeh from Lākīsh to the _ king Ḩizqiyyāh in/on/at/with _ army massive Yə rūshālayim/(Jerusalem) and _ went _ upand _ they _ cameYə rūshālayim and _ went _ upand _ they _ cameand _ they _ stoodin/on/at/with _ aqueduct the _ pool the _ upper which in/on/at/with _ highway of _ [the]_ fieldof _ [the]_ washer18 And _ called to the _ king and _ he/it _ went_ outto _ them ʼElyāqīm the _ sonof _ Ḩilqiyyāh who [was] _ overthe _ palace and _ Sheⱱnāʼ the _ secretary and _ Yōʼāḩ/(Joah) the _ sonof _ ʼĀşāfthe _ recorder .
19 And _ he/it _ saidto _ them [the] _ Rab-shaqeh say please to Ḩizqiyyāh thus he _ saysthe _ king the _ great the _ kingof _ ʼAshshūrwhat the _ confidence the _ this which you _ trust20 You _ have_ saidonly a _ wordof _ lips[is] _ a_ planand _ strength for _ the_ war now on whom do _ you_ rely(cmp) you _ have_ rebelledin/on/at/with _ me .
21 Now here you _ relyfor _ you on the _ staffthe _ reed the _ broken the _ this on Miʦrayim/(Egypt) which he _ will_ support_ himselfanyone on/upon/above _ him/it and _ goes in/on/at/with _ hand _ his and _ pierce _ it [is] _ thusFarˊoh the _ kingof _ Miʦrayimto/from _ all/each/any/every the _ rely on/upon/above _ him/it .
22 And _ because/when say to _ me to YHWH god _ our we _ trustam _ not [is] _ he[the _ one]_ whomhe _ has_ removedḨizqiyyāh DOM high _ places_ whose and _ DOM altars _ whose and _ he/it _ saidto _ Yə hūdāh/(Judah) and _ to _ Yə rūshālayim/(Jerusalem) to _ (the) _ face_ of/in_ front_ of/beforethe _ altar the _ this you _ all_ will_ bow_ downin/on/at/with _ Yə rūshālayim .
23 And _ now make _ a_ wagerplease with my _ master with the _ kingof _ ʼAshshūrand _ give to/for _ yourself(m) two _ thousandhorses if you _ will_ be_ ableto _ set to/for _ yourself(m) riders on _ them .
24 And _ how will _ you_ turn_ backDOM the _ faceof _ the_ governor(of) _ oneof _ the_ servantsmy _ master the _ least and _ rely to/for _ yourself(m) on Miʦrayim for _ chariots and _ for _ horsemen .
25 Now from _ apart YHWH have _ I_ come_ upon the _ place the _ this to _ destroy _ it YHWH he _ saidto _ me go _ upon the _ earth/land the _ this and _ destroy _ it .
26 And _ he/it _ saidʼElyāqīm the _ sonof _ Ḩilqiyyāh and _ Sheⱱnāʼ and _ Yōʼāḩ/(Joah) to [the] _ Rab-shaqeh speak please to your _ servants Aramaic if/because [are] _ understandingwe and _ not speak with _ us Yə hūdī/(Judean) in/on/at/with _ hearing the _ people which [is] _ onthe _ wall .
27 And _ he/it _ saidto _ them [the] _ Rab-shaqeh to master _ your and _ to _ you(ms) sent _ me my _ master to _ speak DOM the _ words the _ these not to the _ men the _ sit on the _ wall to _ eat DOM [fn ] dung _ their _ own[fn ] and _ to _ drink DOM their _ own[fn ] [fn ] [fn ] with _ you _ all28 And _ stood [the] _ Rab-shaqeh and _ he/it _ calledin/on/at/with _ voice great Yə hūdī/(Judean) and _ he/it _ spokeand _ he/it _ saidhear the _ wordthe _ king the _ great the _ kingof _ ʼAshshūr29 Thus he _ saysthe _ king not let _ him_ deceiveto/for _ you _ allḨizqiyyāh if/because not he _ will_ be_ ableto _ deliver DOM _ you _ allfrom _ hand _ him .
30 And _ not let _ him_ make_ trustDOM _ you _ allḨizqiyyāh to YHWH to _ say certainly _ (deliver)he _ will_ deliver_ us YHWH and _ not it _ will_ be_ givenDOM the _ city the _ this in/on/at/with _ hand of _ the_ kingof _ ʼAshshūr31 Do _ notlisten to Ḩizqiyyāh if/because thus he _ saysthe _ kingof _ ʼAshshūrmake with _ me a _ blessingand _ come _ outto _ me and _ eat everyone vine _ his _ ownand _ each fig _ tree_ his and _ drink everyone the _ watercistern _ his _ own32 Until come _ I and _ take _ awayDOM _ you _ allto a _ landlike _ land _ your _ all’s_ owna _ landof _ grainand _ new _ winea _ landof _ breadand _ vineyards a _ landof _ olive_ treeof _ fresh_ oiland _ honey and _ live and _ not you _ all_ will_ dieand _ not listen to Ḩizqiyyāh if/because he _ misleadsDOM _ you _ allto _ say YHWH deliver _ us .
33 The _ to _ deliverhave _ they_ deliveredthe _ godsthe _ nations anyone DOM land _ his from _ hand of _ the_ kingof _ ʼAshshūr34 Where [were] _ the_ godsof _ Ḩₐmāt and _ ʼArpād where [were] _ the_ godsof _ Şə farvayimHēnaˊ and _ ˊIvvāh (cmp) they _ have_ deliveredDOM Shomrōn from _ hand _ my .
35 Who in _ all the _ godsthe _ countries [are _ those]_ whichthey _ have_ deliveredDOM land _ their from _ hand _ my (cmp) he _ will_ deliverYHWH DOM Yə rūshālayim/(Jerusalem) from _ hand _ my .
36 And _ silent the _ people and _ not they _ answeredDOM _ him/it anything if/because [was] _ the_ commandthe _ king it to _ say not answer _ him .
37 And _ came ʼElyāqīm the _ sonof _ Ḩilqiyyāh who [was] _ overthe _ palace and _ Sheⱱnāʼ the _ secretary and _ Yōʼāḩ/(Joah) the _ sonof _ ʼĀşāfthe _ recorder to Ḩizqiyyāh torn of _ clothesand _ told to _ him/it the _ wordsof _ [the]_ Rab-shaqeh .
