18 and _ he/it _ wasin _ year three of _ Hōshēˊa the _ son_ ofʼĒlāh the _ king_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) Ḩizqiyyāh he _ became_ kingthe _ son_ ofʼĀḩāz the _ king_ ofYə hūdāh/(Judah) .
2 A _ son_ oftwenty and _ five year[s] he _ waswhen _ he _ became _ kingand _ twenty and _ nine year[s] he _ reignedin _ Yə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) and _ name _ ofhis/its _ mother was _ ʼAⱱīthe _ daughter_ ofZə karyāh .
3 And _ he/it _ madethe _ right in/on _ both _ eyes_ ofYHWH according _ to _ allthat he _ had_ doneDāvid his/its _ father .
4 He he _ removedDOM the _ high_ places and _ he _ brokeDOM the _ sacred_ pillars and _ he _ cut_ downDOM the _ ʼAshērāh_ pole and _ he _ crushed_ to_ piecesthe _ snake_ of(the) _ bronze which he _ had_ madeMosheh if/because until the _ days (the) _ those the _ people_ ofthey _ wereof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)making _ smoketo _ him/it and _ he/it _ calledto _ him/it Nehushtan .
5 In _ YHWH the _ god_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) he _ trustedand _ after _ him not anyone _ waslike _ him among _ all _ ofthe _ kings_ ofYə hūdāh and _ which they _ werebefore _ him .
6 And _ he _ clungto _ YHWH not he _ turned_ asidefrom _ after _ him and _ he _ keptcommands _ of_ his which he _ had_ commandedYHWH DOM Mosheh .
7 And _ it _ wasYHWH with _ him/it in _ all that he _ went_ outhe _ prosperedand _ he _ rebelledagainst _ the _ king_ ofʼAshshūr and _ not he _ served _ him8 He he _ defeatedDOM the _ Fə lishtiyto ˊAzzāh and _ DOM territories _ of_ its from _ a _ tower_ ofwatchmen unto a _ city_ offortification .
9 and _ he/it _ wasin _ year (the) _ fourth to/for _ the _ kingḨizqiyyāh it was _ the_ year (the) _ seventh of _ Hōshēˊa the _ son_ ofʼĒlāh the _ king_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) Shalmanʼeşer he _ came_ upthe _ king_ ofʼAshshūr on Shomrōn and _ he/it _ laid_ siegeon _ it .
10 And _ they _ captured _ itfrom _ the _ end _ ofthree years in _ year six of _ Ḩizqiyyāh it was _ year_ ofnine of _ Hōshēˊa the _ king_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) Shomrōn it _ was_ captured11 And _ the _ king_ of_ he _ took_ into_ exileof _ ʼAshshūrDOM Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) to _ ʼAshshūr and _ he _ led _ themin _ Ḩₐlaḩ and _ on _ the _ Ḩāⱱōr the _ river_ ofGōzān and _ the _ cities_ ofMāday .
12 On that not they _ had_ listenedto _ the _ voice_ ofYHWH god _ of_ their and _ they _ had_ transgressedDOM covenant _ of_ his DOM all _ ofthat he _ had_ commandedMosheh the _ servant_ ofYHWH and _ not they _ listenedand _ not they _ did13 and _ in _ four- teen year to/for _ the _ kingḨizqiyyāh Şanḩērīⱱ he _ came_ upthe _ king_ ofʼAshshūr on all _ ofthe _ cities_ ofYə hūdāh/(Judah) (the) _ fortified and _ he _ seized _ them14 And _ Ḩizqiyyāh _ he _ sentthe _ king_ ofYə hūdāh to the _ king_ ofʼAshshūr to _ Lākīsh to _ say I _ have_ sinnedturn _ backfrom _ on _ me DOM that _ whichyou _ will_ puton _ me I _ will_ bearand _ the _ king_ of_ he/it _ assignedof _ ʼAshshūron Ḩizqiyyāh the _ king_ ofYə hūdāh three hundred(s) talent[s] _ ofsilver and _ thirty talent[s] _ ofgold .
15 And _ Ḩizqiyyāh _ he/it _ gaveDOM all _ ofthe _ silver which _ the _ house_ of_ was _ foundof _ YHWH and _ in _ the _ treasuries_ ofthe _ house_ ofthe _ king16 At _ time (the) _ that Ḩizqiyyāh he _ cut_ offDOM the _ doors_ ofthe _ temple_ ofYHWH and _ DOM the _ door-posts which Ḩizqiyyāh he _ had_ overlaidthe _ king_ ofYə hūdāh and _ he _ gave _ themto _ the _ king_ ofʼAshshūr .
17 and _ the _ king_ of_ he _ sentof _ ʼAshshūrDOM the _ commander_ in_ chiefand _ DOM the _ Rab-_ ofsaris and _ DOM the _ Rab-_ ofshaqeh from Lākīsh to the _ king Ḩizqiyyāh with _ an _ army_ ofmassive Yə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) and _ they _ went_ upand _ they _ cameYə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) and _ they _ went_ upand _ they _ cameand _ they _ stoodat _ the _ conduit_ ofthe _ pool(the) _ upper which is _ on_ the _ highway _ ofthe _ field_ ofthe _ washer18 And _ they _ called_ outto the _ king and _ he/it _ went_ outto _ them ʼElyāqīm the _ son_ ofḨilqiyyāh who was _ overthe _ house and _ Sheⱱnāʼ the _ secretary and _ Yōʼāḩ/(Joah) the _ son_ ofʼĀşāf the _ recorder .
19 And _ he/it _ saidto _ them the _ Rab-_ ofshaqeh say please to Ḩizqiyyāh thus he _ saysthe _ king (the) _ great the _ king_ ofʼAshshūr what is _ the_ trust the _ this which you _ trust20 You _ have_ saidonly a _ message_ oflips is _ a_ planand _ strength for _ war now on whom do _ you_ rely(cmp) you _ have_ rebelledagainst _ me .
21 Now here you _ rely(for _ yourself) on the _ staff_ of(the) _ reed (the) _ crushed the _ this on Miʦrayim/(Egypt) which he _ will_ support_ himselfanyone on/upon/above _ him/it and _ it _ will_ goin _ his _ of_ palm and _ it _ will _ pierce_ itis _ thusParˊoh the _ king_ ofMiʦrayim to/from _ all/each/any/every those _ who _ relyon/upon/above _ him/it .
22 And _ because/when you(pl) _ will _ sayto _ me to YHWH god _ of_ our we _ trustam _ not is _ hethe _ _ whomhe _ has_ removedḨizqiyyāh DOM places _ of_ his _ highand _ DOM altars _ of_ his and _ he/it _ saidto _ Yə hūdāh/(Judah) and _ to _ Yə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) to _ (the) _ face_ of/in_ front_ of/beforethe _ altar the _ this you(pl) _ will_ bow_ downin _ Yə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) .
23 And _ now make _ a_ wagerplease with my _ master with the _ king_ ofʼAshshūr and _ let _ me_ giveto/for _ yourself(m) two _ thousandhorses if you _ will_ be_ ableto _ put to/for _ yourself(m) riders on _ them .
24 And _ how will _ you_ turn_ backDOM the _ face_ ofthe _ governor_ of(of) _ oneof _ the_ servants_ ofmy _ master (the) _ little and _ you _ have_ been_ relyingto/for _ yourself(m) on Miʦrayim for _ chariotry and _ for _ horsemen .
25 Now (from) _ without YHWH have _ I_ come_ upon the _ place the _ this to _ destroy _ it YHWH he _ saidto _ me go _ upon the _ earth/land (the) _ this and _ destroy _ it .
26 And _ ʼElyāqīm _ he/it _ saidthe _ son_ ofḨilqiyyāh and _ Sheⱱnāʼ and _ Yōʼāḩ/(Joah) to the _ Rab-_ ofshaqeh speak please to your _ servants ʼArāmīt if/because are _ understandingwe and _ do _ notspeak with _ us Yə hūdī/(Judean) in _ the _ ears_ ofthe _ peoplewhich is _ onthe _ wall .
27 And _ he/it _ saidto _ them the _ Rab-_ ofshaqeh to master(s) _ of_ your and _ to _ you(ms) has _ he _ sent_ memy _ master to _ speak DOM the _ words/messages the _ these not to the _ men who _ are _ sittingon the _ wall to _ eat DOM [fn ] excrement _ of_ their _ own[fn ] and _ to _ drink DOM their _ feet_ of_ of [fn ] [fn ] [fn ] with _ you(pl) .
28 And _ the _ Rab-_ of_ he _ stoodshaqeh and _ he/it _ calledwith _ a _ voicegreat Yə hūdī/(Judean) and _ he/it _ spokeand _ he/it _ saidhear the _ message_ ofthe _ king (the) _ great the _ king_ ofʼAshshūr .
29 Thus he _ saysthe _ king not let _ him_ deceiveto/for _ you(pl) Ḩizqiyyāh if/because not he _ will_ be_ ableto _ deliver you(pl) from _ his _ of_ hand .
30 And _ not Ḩizqiyyāh let _ him_ make_ trustyou(pl) to YHWH to _ say certainly _ (deliver)he _ will _ deliver_ usYHWH and _ not it _ will_ be_ givenDOM the _ city (the) _ this in _ the _ hand_ ofthe _ king_ ofʼAshshūr .
31 Do _ notlisten to Ḩizqiyyāh if/because thus the _ king_ ofhe _ saysof _ ʼAshshūrmake with _ me a _ blessingand _ come _ outto _ me and _ eat everyone _ ofvine _ of_ his _ ownand _ everyone _ offig _ tree_ of_ his _ ownand _ drink everyone the _ water_ ofhis _ own_ cistern_ of_ of .
32 Until I _ come and _ I _ will_ takeyou(pl) to a _ landlike _ your _ own_ of_ land a _ land_ ofgrain and _ new _ winea _ land_ ofbread and _ vineyards a _ land_ ofolive _ tree_ offresh _ oiland _ honey and _ live and _ not you(pl) _ will_ dieand _ do _ notlisten to Ḩizqiyyāh if/because he _ misleadsyou(pl) to _ say YHWH he _ will _ deliver_ us33 Ever _ (deliver) have _ they_ deliveredthe _ gods_ ofthe _ nations anyone DOM land _ of_ its from _ the _ hand_ ofthe _ king_ ofʼAshshūr .
34 Where were _ the_ gods_ ofmāt and _ ʼArpād where were _ the_ gods_ ofə farvayimHēnaˊ and _ ˊIvvāh (cmp) they _ have_ deliveredDOM Shomrōn from _ my _ of_ hand .
35 Who in _ all the _ gods_ ofthe _ landsare _ those _ whichthey _ have_ deliveredDOM land _ of_ their from _ my _ of_ hand (cmp) YHWH he _ will_ deliverDOM Yə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) from _ my _ of_ hand .
36 And _ they _ kept_ silentthe _ people and _ not they _ answeredDOM _ him/it anything if/because was _ the_ command_ ofthe _ king it to _ say not you(pl) _ must _ answer_ him37 And _ ʼElyāqīm _ he _ wentthe _ son_ ofḨilqiyyāh who was _ overthe _ house and _ Sheⱱnāʼ the _ secretary and _ Yōʼāḩ/(Joah) the _ son_ ofʼĀşāf the _ recorder to Ḩizqiyyāh clothes torn _ ofand _ they _ toldto _ him/it the _ words/messages_ ofthe _ Rab-_ ofshaqeh .
