17 in _ year two _ plusten of _ ʼĀḩāz the _ king_ ofYə hūdāh Hōshēˊa he _ became_ kingthe _ son_ ofʼĒlāh in _ Shomrōn over Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) nine years .
2 And _ he/it _ madethe _ evil in/on _ both _ eyes_ ofYHWH only not like _ the _ kings_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) who they _ werebefore _ him .
3 On/upon/above _ him/it Shalmanʼeşer he _ came_ upthe _ king_ ofʼAshshūr and _ he/it _ wasto _ him/it Hōshēˊa subject and _ he _ returnedto _ him/it tribute .
4 And _ the _ king_ of_ he _ foundof _ ʼAshshūrin _ Hōshēˊa treason that messengers he _ had_ sentto Şōʼ the _ king_ ofMiʦrayim/(Egypt) and _ not tribute he _ had_ brought_ upto _ the _ king_ ofʼAshshūr as _ a _ yearin _ year and _ he _ arrested _ himthe _ king_ ofʼAshshūr and _ he _ confined _ hima _ house_ ofimprisonment .
5 And _ the _ king_ of_ he/it _ ascendedof _ ʼAshshūrin _ all the _ earth/land and _ he/it _ ascendedShomrōn and _ he/it _ laid_ siegeon/upon _ it(f) three years .
6 In _ year (of _ the) _ ninthof _ Hōshēˊa the _ king_ ofhe _ capturedof _ ʼAshshūrDOM Shomrōn and _ he _ took_ into_ exileDOM Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) to _ ʼAshshūr and _ he _ caused_ to_ dwellDOM _ them in _ Ḩₐlaḩ and _ on _ the _ Ḩāⱱōr the _ river_ ofGōzān and _ the _ cities_ ofMāday .
7 and _ he/it _ wasif/because the _ people_ ofthey _ had_ sinnedof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)to/for _ YHWH god _ of_ their who _ had _ brought_ upDOM _ them from _ the _ land_ ofMiʦrayim from _ under the _ hand_ ofParˊoh the _ king_ ofMiʦrayim and _ they _ had_ fearedgods other .
8 And _ they _ had_ walkedin _ the _ customs_ ofthe _ nations which he _ had_ dispossessedYHWH from _ face/in _ front_ ofthe _ people_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ the _ kings_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) which they _ had_ done9 And _ the _ people_ of_ they _ did_ secretlyof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)things which were _ notright on YHWH god _ of_ their and _ they _ builtto/for _ them high _ placesin _ all cities _ of_ their from _ a _ tower_ ofwatchmen unto a _ city_ offortification .
10 And _ they _ erectedto/for _ them sacred _ pillarsand _ ʼAshērāh _ poleson every _ ofhill high and _ under every _ oftree luxuriant .
11 And _ they _ made_ smokethere in _ all the _ high_ placeslike _ nations which he _ had_ taken_ into_ exileYHWH from _ their _ face/front and _ they _ didthings evil to _ provoke _ to_ angerDOM YHWH 12 And _ they _ servedthe _ idols which he _ had_ saidYHWH to/for _ them not you(pl) _ must_ doDOM the _ thing (the) _ this .
13 And _ YHWH _ he _ warned(in) _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ (in) _ Yə hūdāh/(Judah) by _ the _ hand_ ofevery _ ofmmm [fn ] every _ ofseer to _ say turn _ backfrom _ your(pl) _ of_ ways (the) _ evil and _ keep commands _ of_ my regulations _ of_ my according _ to _ all_ ofthe _ law which I _ commandedDOM ancestors _ of_ your(pl) and _ which I _ sentto _ you(pl) by _ the _ hand_ ofmy _ servants_ of_ of the _ prophets .
14 And _ not they _ listenedand _ they _ stiffenedDOM neck _ of_ their like _ the _ neck_ oftheir _ ancestors_ of_ of who not they _ trustedin _ YHWH god _ of_ their .

17 And _ they _ made_ passDOM sons _ of_ their and _ DOM daughters _ of_ their in _ fire and _ they _ divineddivinations and _ they _ practiced_ divinationand _ they _ sold_ themselvesfor _ doing the _ evil in/on _ both _ eyes_ ofYHWH to _ provoke _ him _ to_ anger18 And _ YHWH _ he _ was_ angryvery with _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ he _ removed _ themfrom _ under his/its _ faces/face not anyone _ was_ leftonly the _ tribe_ ofYə hūdāh/(Judah) for _ him/it _ being _ alone19 Also Yə hūdāh not it _ keptDOM the _ commands_ ofYHWH god _ of_ their and _ they _ walkedin _ the _ customs_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) which they _ had_ done20 And _ YHWH _ he _ rejectedin _ all the _ offspring_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ he _ afflicted _ themand _ he _ gave _ themin _ the _ hand_ ofplunderers until that he _ threw _ themfrom _ before _ of_ him .
21 If/because he _ toreYisrāʼēl /(Israel) from _ under the _ house_ ofDāvid and _ they _ made_ kingDOM Yārāⱱə ˊām/(Jeroboam) the _ son_ ofNeⱱaţ and _ he _ enticed_ away[fn ] Yārāⱱə ˊām DOM Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) from _ after YHWH and _ he _ caused _ them_ to_ sin[fn ] a _ singreat .
22 And _ the _ people_ of_ they _ walkedof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)in _ all the _ sins_ ofYārāⱱə ˊām which he _ didnot they _ turned_ asidefrom _ it .
23 Until that he _ removedYHWH DOM Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) from _ under his/its _ faces/face just _ as he _ had_ spokenby _ the _ hand_ ofall _ ofservants _ of_ his the _ prophets and _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) _ it _ went_ into_ exilefrom _ under land _ of_ its to _ ʼAshshūr until the _ day (the) _ this .
24 and _ the _ king_ of_ he/it _ broughtof _ ʼAshshūrfrom _ Bāⱱel and _ from _ Kūt/(Cuthah) and _ from _ Avva and _ from _ Ḩₐmāt and _ Şə farvayimand _ he _ caused_ them _ to_ dwellin _ the _ cities_ ofShomrōn in _ place_ ofthe _ people_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ they _ took_ possession_ ofDOM Shomrōn and _ they _ livedin _ its _ of_ cities .
25 And _ he/it _ wasat _ the _ beginning_ oftheir _ dwellingthere not they _ fearedDOM YHWH and _ YHWH _ he _ sent(is) _ in_ them DOM (the) _ lions and _ they _ werekilling in _ them .
26 And _ they _ saidto _ the _ king_ ofʼAshshūr to _ say the _ nations which you _ took_ into_ exileand _ you _ caused_ to_ dwellin _ the _ cities_ ofShomrōn not they _ knowDOM the _ custom_ ofthe _ god_ ofthe _ earth/land and _ he _ has_ sentamong _ them DOM (the) _ lions and _ there _ they are _ killingthem just _ as not _ they are _ knowingDOM the _ custom_ ofthe _ god_ ofthe _ earth/land .
27 And _ the _ king_ of_ he/it _ commandedof _ ʼAshshūrto _ say take to _ there one of _ the _ priests whom you(pl) _ took_ into_ exilefrom _ there so _ that _ they_ may_ goand _ so _ that_ they_ may_ dwellthere and _ so _ that _ he_ may_ teach_ themDOM the _ custom_ ofthe _ god_ ofthe _ earth/land .
28 And _ he _ wentone of _ the _ priests whom they _ had_ taken_ into_ exilefrom _ Shomrōn and _ he/it _ sat_ down//remained//livedin _ house _ ofʼēl and _ he/it _ wasteaching DOM _ them how will _ they_ fearDOM YHWH 29 And _ they _ weremaking nation nation his/its _ god and _ they _ placed_ them in _ house _ ofthe _ high_ placeswhich they _ had_ madethe _ Shomrōn nation nation in _ their _ own_ of_ cities where they were _ dwellingthere .
30 And _ the _ people_ ofBāⱱel they _ madeDOM Succoth Benoth and _ the _ people_ ofCuthah they _ madeDOM Nērə ggal and _ the _ people_ ofmāt they _ madeDOM ʼAshimāʼ .
31 And _ the _ Avvites they _ madeNiⱱḩaz and _ DOM Tartāq and _ the _ Şə farvīwere _ burningDOM children _ of_ their in _ fire to _ ʼAdrammelek and _ ˊAnammelek the _ gods_ of[fn ] of _ Şə farvayim[fn ] .
32 And _ they _ werefearing DOM YHWH and _ they _ madeto/for _ them from _ among _ of_ themselves priests _ ofthe _ high_ placesand _ they _ wereoffering to/for _ them in _ house _ ofthe _ high_ places33 DOM YHWH they _ werefearing and _ DOM gods _ of_ their _ ownthey _ wereserving according _ to _ the_ custom_ ofthe _ nations which people _ had_ taken_ into_ exileDOM _ them from _ there .
34 Until the _ day the _ this they are _ doingaccording _ the _ customs(the) _ former not _ they are _ fearingDOM YHWH and _ not _ they are _ doingaccording _ to _ of_ their _ regulationsand _ according _ to _ of_ their _ judgementand _ according _ the _ lawand _ according _ the _ commandwhich YHWH he _ commandedDOM the _ descendants_ ofqoⱱ/(Jacob) whom his/its _ name he _ madeYisrāʼēl /(Israel) .
35 And _ YHWH _ he _ madewith _ them a _ covenantand _ he _ commanded _ themto _ say not you(pl) _ must_ feargods other and _ not you(pl) _ must_ bow_ downto/for _ them and _ not you(pl) _ must _ serve_ themand _ not you(pl) _ must_ sacrificeto/for _ them .
36 If/because (if) DOM YHWH who he _ brought_ upyou(pl) from _ the _ land_ ofMiʦrayim/(Egypt) with _ power great and _ by _ an _ armoutstretched DOM _ him/it you(pl) _ will_ fearand _ to/for _ him/it you(pl) _ will_ bow_ downand _ to/for _ him/it you(pl) _ will_ sacrifice37 And _ DOM the _ regulations and _ DOM the _ judgements and _ the _ law and _ the _ command which he _ wroteto/for _ you(pl) you(pl) _ will _ take_ carefor _ doing all _ ofthe _ days and _ not you(pl) _ must_ feargods other .
38 And _ the _ covenant which I _ madewith _ you(pl) not you(pl) _ must_ forgetand _ not you(pl) _ must_ feargods other .
39 If/because (if) DOM YHWH god _ of_ your(pl) you(pl) _ will_ fearand _ he he _ will_ deliveryou(pl) from _ the _ hand_ ofall _ ofenemies _ of_ your(pl) .
40 And _ not they _ listenedif/because (if) according _ to _ of_ their _ custom(the) _ former they were _ doing41 And _ they _ werethe _ nations the _ these fearing DOM YHWH and _ DOM idols _ of_ their they _ wereserving also children _ of_ their and _ the _ sonstheir _ children_ of_ of just _ as they _ didfathers _ of_ their they are _ doinguntil the _ day (the) _ this .
