16 in _ year seven- teen year of _ Fə qaḩyāh the _ son_ ofRə malyāh ū ʼĀḩāz he _ became_ kingthe _ son_ ofYōtām the _ king_ ofYə hūdāh .
2 was _ a_ son_ oftwenty year[s] ʼĀḩāz when _ he _ became _ kingand _ six- teen year[s] he _ reignedin _ Yə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) and _ not he _ didthe _ right in/on _ both _ eyes_ ofYHWH his/its _ god like _ Dāvid his/its _ father .
3 And _ he/it _ wentin _ the _ way_ ofthe _ kings_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ also DOM his/its _ son he _ made_ passin _ fire according _ to _ the_ abominations_ ofthe _ nations which he _ had_ dispossessedYHWH DOM _ them from _ face/in _ front_ ofthe _ people_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) .
4 And _ he _ sacrificedand _ he _ made_ smokeat _ places and _ on the _ hills and _ under every _ oftree luxuriant .
5 Then Rə ʦīn he _ came_ upthe _ king_ ofʼArām and _ Fə qaḩyāh the _ son_ ofRə malyāh ū the _ king_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) Yə rūshālam/(Jerusalem) for _ battle and _ they _ laid_ siegeon ʼĀḩāz and _ not they _ were_ ableto _ do _ battle6 At _ time (the) _ that Rə ʦīn he _ restoredthe _ king_ ofʼArām DOM ʼĒylōt to _ ʼArām and _ he _ cleared_ outDOM the _ Yə hūdī/(Judeans) from _ ʼĒylōt and _ ʼEdōmites [fn ] [fn ] they _ cameʼĒylōt and _ they _ livedthere until the _ day (the) _ this .
7 and _ ʼĀḩāz _ he _ sentmessengers to Tiglat pilʼeşer the _ king_ ofʼAshshūr servant _ of_ am _ yourto _ say and _ your _ of_ son I come _ upand _ deliver _ me from _ the _ palm_ ofthe _ king_ ofʼArām and _ from _ the _ palm_ ofthe _ king_ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) who _ are _ rising_ upon _ me .
8 And _ ʼĀḩāz _ he/it _ tookDOM the _ silver and _ DOM the _ gold which _ the _ house_ of_ was _ foundof _ YHWH and _ in _ the _ treasuries_ ofthe _ house_ ofthe _ king and _ he _ sent_ to _ the _ king_ ofʼAshshūr a _ gift9 And _ he/it _ listenedto _ him/it the _ king_ ofʼAshshūr and _ the _ king_ of_ he/it _ ascendedof _ ʼAshshūrto Dammeseq and _ he _ seized _ itand _ he _ took _ it_ into_ exileto _ Qīr and _ DOM Rə ʦīn he _ put_ to_ death10 And _ he/it _ wentthe _ king ʼĀḩāz to _ Tiglat _ meet pilʼeşer the _ king_ ofʼAshshūr Dammeseq and _ he/it _ sawDOM the _ altar which was _ in_ Dammeseq and _ he _ sentthe _ king ʼĀḩāz to Uriah the _ priest/officer DOM the _ likeness_ ofthe _ altarand _ DOM pattern _ of_ its to/from _ all/each/any/every work _ of_ its .
11 And _ Uriah _ he/it _ builtthe _ priest/officer DOM the _ altar according _ to _ allthat he _ had_ sentthe _ king ʼĀḩāz from _ Dammeseq so Uriah he _ didthe _ priest/officer until came the _ king ʼĀḩāz from _ Dammeseq .
12 And _ he _ camethe _ king from _ Dammeseq and _ he/it _ sawthe _ king DOM the _ altar and _ he _ drew_ nearthe _ king to the _ altar and _ he/it _ ascendedon/upon/above _ him/it .
13 And _ he _ made_ smokeDOM offering _ of_ his _ burntand _ DOM his/its _ donation/offering and _ he _ poured_ outDOM offering _ of_ his _ drinkand _ he _ sprinkledDOM the _ blood_ ofthe _ peace_ offeringswhich to _ him/it on the _ altar .
14 And _ DOM the _ altar _ ofthe _ bronze which to _ (the) _ face_ of/in_ front_ of/beforeYHWH and _ he _ brought_ nearfrom _ with the _ face_ ofthe _ housefrom _ between the _ altar and _ from _ between the _ house_ ofYHWH and _ he/it _ gaveDOM _ him/it on the _ side_ ofthe _ altarnorthward .
15 And _ he _ commanded[fn ] the _ king ʼĀḩāz DOM Uriah the _ priest/officer to _ say on the _ altar (the) _ great make _ smokeDOM the _ burnt_ offering_ ofthe _ morningand _ DOM the _ grain_ offering_ ofthe _ eveningand _ DOM the _ burnt_ offering_ ofthe _ king and _ DOM his/its _ donation/offering and _ DOM the _ burnt_ offering_ ofall _ ofthe _ people_ ofthe _ earth/land and _ their _ grain_ of_ offering and _ their _ drink_ of_ offerings and _ all the _ blood_ ofthe _ burnt_ offeringand _ all the _ blood_ ofthe _ sacrificeon/upon/above _ him/it you _ will_ sprinkleand _ the _ altar_ of(the) _ bronze it _ will_ belongto/for _ me to _ consult .
16 And _ Uriah _ he/it _ madethe _ priest/officer according _ to _ allthat he _ commandedthe _ king ʼĀḩāz .
17 And _ he _ cut_ offthe _ king ʼĀḩāz DOM the _ rims the _ stands and _ he _ removedfrom _ on _ them and [fn ] the _ laver and _ DOM the _ sea he _ took_ downfrom _ under the _ ox[en] the _ bronze which were _ under_ it and _ he/it _ gaveDOM _ him/it on a _ pavement_ ofstone(s) .
18 And _ DOM the _ covered_ structure_ of[fn ] of _ the _ sabbathwhich people _ had_ builtin _ house and _ DOM the _ entrance_ ofthe _ king (the) _ outer he _ removedthe _ house_ ofYHWH from _ face/in _ front_ ofthe _ king_ ofʼAshshūr .
19 And _ the _ rest_ ofthe _ matters_ ofʼĀḩāz which he _ didnot are _ theywritten on the _ scroll_ ofthe _ matters_ ofthe _ days of _ the _ kings_ ofof _ Yə hūdāh/(Judah)20 And _ ʼĀḩāz _ he _ lay_ downwith ancestors _ of_ his and _ he _ was_ buriedwith ancestors _ of_ his in _ the _ city_ ofDāvid and _ Ḩizqiyyāh _ he _ became_ kingson _ of_ his in _ place _ of_ himOET ◄ 2 KI 16 ► ║ ═ ©
