5 And_BEHOLD/LO/SEE Shāʼūl was_coming after the_cattle from the_field and_ Shāʼūl _he/it _said what is_to_people (cmp) they _are _weeping and_they _recounted to_him/it DOM the _words/messages _of the _men _of Yāⱱēsh.

8 And_he_mustered _them at_Bezeq and_they _were the _people _of Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel) three hundred(s) thousand and_the _man _of Yəhūdāh/(Judah) was_thirty thousand.

9 And_they _said to_messengers the_(ones _who)_went thus you(pl)_will _say to_the _man _of Yāⱱēsh/(Jabesh) tomorrow it _will _belong to/for_you(pl) deliverance like_the _heat _of[fn] of_the _sun and_they _came the_messengers and_they _told to_the _men _of Yāⱱēsh and_they _rejoiced.

10 And_ the _men _of _they _said of _Yāⱱēsh tomorrow will _we _go _out to_you(pl) and_you(pl)_will _do to/for_ourselves according_to _all _of the_good in_eyes _of_your(pl).

11 and_he/it _was from_the_next _day and_ Shāʼūl/(Saul) _he/it _assigned DOM the_people three companies and_they _came in_the _midst _of the _camp in_the _watch _of the _morning and_they _defeated DOM ˊAmmōn until the _heat _of the_day and_he/it _was those_who_remained and_they _were _scattered and_not they _remained among_them two together.

12 And_he/it _said the_people to Shəmū^ʼēl/(Samuel) who is_the_one _who_said Shāʼūl will _he _reign over_us deliver _up the_men so_that_we _may _put _them _to _death.
