5 And _ he/it _ saidpeace to _ sacrifice to/for _ YHWH I _ have_ comeconsecrate _ yourselvesand _ come with _ me in/on/at/with _ sacrifice and _ he/it _ consecratedDOM Yishay and _ DOM sons _ his and _ he/it _ calledto/for _ them to _ the_ sacrifice .
6 And _ he/it _ wasin/on/at/with _ came _ they and _ he/it _ sawDOM ʼElīʼāⱱ and _ he/it _ saidsurely [is] _ beforeYHWH anointed _ his .
7 And _ he/it _ saidYHWH to Shə mūʼēl do _ notlook to appearance _ his and _ near/to the _ heightstature _ his if/because rejected _ him if/because not [that] _ whichhe _ seesthe _ humankind if/because the _ humankind he _ seesat _ the_ outward _ appearanceand _ LORD he _ seeson _ the_ heart .

12 And _ sent and _ brought _ in_ him and _ he [was] _ redwith beautiful of _ eyesand _ good of _ appearanceand _ he/it _ saidYHWH arise anoint _ him if/because this [is] _ he13 And _ he/it _ tookShə mūʼēl DOM the _ hornthe _ oil and _ anointed DOM _ him/it in/on/at/with _ presence brothers _ his and _ came _ mightilythe _ spiritof _ YHWH to Dāvid from _ the _ day (the) _ that and _ onward and _ he/it _ rose_ upShə mūʼēl and _ he/it _ wentthe _ Rāmāh _ to .
14 and _ spirit of _ YHWH it _ departedfrom _ with Shāʼūl and _ tormented _ him a _ spiritevil from YHWH 15 And _ they _ saidthe _ servantsof _ Shāʼūlto _ him/it here please a _ spiritof _ godevil tormenting _ you .
16 Let _ him_ sayplease master _ our your _ servants to _ your _ face let _ them_ seeka _ person[who] _ knowsplaying in/on/at/with _ lyre and _ it _ wasin/on/at/with _ is upon _ you a _ spiritof _ godevil and _ play in _ his/its _ hand and _ good to/for _ you(fs) .
17 and _ he/it _ saidShāʼūl to servants _ his see please to _ me a _ person[who] _ does_ wellto _ play and _ bring to _ me .
18 And _ answered one of _ the _ young _ menand _ he/it _ saidhere I _ have_ seena _ sonof _ Yishay/(Jesse) house _ ofwwww [who] _ knowsto _ playand _ man of _ strengthand _ man of _ warand _ prudent of _ wordand _ man of _ formand _ LORD with _ him/it .
19 And _ sent Shāʼūl messengers to Yishay and _ he/it _ saidsend to _ me DOM Dāvid son _ your who in/on/at/with _ sheep .
20 And _ he/it _ tookYishay a _ donkeybread and _ skin of _ wineand _ young _ goat_ ofof _ goatsone and _ sent in/on/at/with _ hand of _ Dāvidhis/its _ son to Shāʼūl .
21 And _ came Dāvid to Shāʼūl and _ entered _ servicebefore _ face/front _ his and _ loved _ him exceedingly and _ he/it _ wasto _ him/it a _ bearerof _ armor(s)22 And _ sent Shāʼūl to Yishay to _ say let _ him_ standplease Dāvid to/for _ my _ face/front if/because he _ has_ foundfavour in/on/at/with _ sight _ my .
23 And _ it _ wasin/on/at/with _ came a _ spiritof _ godto Shāʼūl and _ he/it _ will_ takeDāvid DOM the _ lyre and _ play in _ his/its _ hand and _ relieved for _ Shāʼūl and _ good to _ him/it and _ depart from _ upon _ him the _ spiritthe _ evil .
