24 And _ men of _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)he _ was_ hard_ pressedin _ the_ day (the) _ that and _ laid _ an_ oathShāʼūl DOM the _ people to _ say [be] _ cursedthe _ man who he _ will_ eatfood until the _ evening and _ avenged on _ enemies _ my and _ not it _ tastedall the _ troops food .
25 and _ all the _ earth/land they _ wentin/on/at/with _ forest and _ he/it _ washoney on the _ surfacethe _ field .
26 And _ came the _ troops into the _ forest and _ see/lo/see a _ flowingof _ honeyand _ no [one _ who]_ reachedhis/its _ hand to mouth _ his if/because it _ fearedthe _ people DOM the _ oath .

29 And _ he/it _ saidYōnātān/(Jonathan) he _ has_ troubledfather _ my DOM the _ earth/land see please if/because _ thatthey _ brightenedeyes _ my if/because I _ tasteda _ littleof _ honeythe _ this .
30 Indeed if/because if indeed _ (eat)it _ had_ eatenthe _ day the _ troops of _ plunder enemies _ their which it _ foundif/because now not it _ has_ been_ greatdefeat in/on/at/with _ Fə lishə ttiy .
31 And _ struck _ downin _ the_ day (the) _ that in/on/at/with _ Fə lishə ttiy from _ Mikmāş ʼAyyālōn _ to and _ exhausted the _ troops exceedingly .
32 And _ pounced [fn ] the _ troops to wwww [fn ] and _ they _ tooksheep and _ cattle and _ the _ sonsof _ [the]_ herdand _ slaughtered ground _ on and _ ate the _ troops with the _ blood .
33 And _ reported to _ Shāʼūl to _ say there the _ troops [are] _ sinningto/for _ YHWH by _ eating with the _ blood and _ he/it _ saidyou _ all_ have_ acted_ treacherouslyroll to _ me the _ day a _ stonegreat .
34 And _ he/it _ saidShāʼūl be _ scatteredin/on/at/with _ troops and _ say to/for _ them bring _ nearto _ me each _ oneox _ his and _ each sheep _ his and _ slaughter in/on/at/with _ this and _ eat and _ not you _ all_ will_ sinto/for _ YHWH by _ eating with the _ blood and _ brought all the _ troops each _ oneox _ his in/on/at/with _ hand _ him the _ night and _ slaughtered there .
35 And _ he/it _ builtShāʼūl an _ altarto/for _ YHWH DOM _ him/it he _ beganto _ built an _ altarto/for _ YHWH 36 and _ he/it _ saidShāʼūl let _ us_ go_ downafter [the] _ Fə lishə ttiynight and _ plunder in/among _ them until the _ lightthe _ morning and _ not let _ us_ leave(is) _ in_ them anyone and _ they _ saidall the _ good in/on/at/with _ eyes _ you do and _ he/it _ saidthe _ priest/officer let _ us_ draw_ nearhere to the _ ʼElohīm .

38 And _ he/it _ saidShāʼūl draw _ nearhere Oh _ allthe _ cornersthe _ people and _ find _ outand _ see in/on/at/with _ what has _ it_ happenedthe _ sin the _ this the _ day .
39 If/because [by] _ the_ lifeof _ YHWH the _ saves DOM Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) if/because if is _ it in/on/at/with _ Yōnātān/(Jonathan) son _ my if/because surely _ (die)he _ will_ dieand _ not answered _ him from _ all the _ people .
40 And _ he/it _ saidto all Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) you _ allyou _ all_ will_ beon _ side one and _ I and _ Yōnātān son _ my we _ will_ beon _ side one and _ they _ saidthe _ people to Shāʼūl the _ good in/on/at/with _ eyes _ you do .
