7 And _ told to _ Shāʼūl if/because _ thathe _ had_ goneDāvid Qə ˊīlāh and _ he/it _ saidShāʼūl he _ has_ alienatedDOM _ him/it god in/on/at/with _ hand _ my if/because he _ has_ shut_ himself_ upby _ entering in/on/at/with _ town of _ doorsand _ bars .
8 And _ summoned Shāʼūl DOM all the _ people for _ the_ war to _ go _ downQə ˊīlāh to _ besiege against Dāvid and _ near/to men _ his .
9 And _ he/it _ knewDāvid if/because _ thaton/upon/above _ him/it Shāʼūl [was] _ plottingthe _ evil and _ he/it _ saidto ʼEⱱyātār the _ priest/officer bring the _ ephod .

14 And _ he/it _ sat_ down//remained//livedDāvid in/on/at/with _ wilderness in/on/at/with _ strongholds and _ he/it _ sat_ down//remained//livedin/on/at/with _ hill _ countryin/on/at/with _ wilderness of _ Zīfand _ sought _ him Shāʼūl all the _ days and _ not give _ him god in _ his/its _ hand .
15 And _ he/it _ sawDāvid [fn ] if/because _ thathe _ had_ come_ forthShāʼūl to _ seek DOM life _ his and _ Dāvid in/on/at/with _ wilderness of _ Zīfin/on/at/with _ Ḩoresh .
