5 And_ Dāvid _he/it_went and_men_of_his[fn] Qəˊīlāh and_he_fought against_Fəlishtiy and_he_drove_away DOM livestock_of_their and_he_defeated (is)_in_them a_defeat great and_ Dāvid _he_delivered DOM of_Qəˊīlāh the_inhabitants_of.
6 and_he/it_was when_fled ʼEⱱyātār the_son_of ʼAḩīmelek to Dāvid Qəˊīlāh an_ephod it_came_down in_his/its_hand.
7 And_it_was_told to_Shāʼūl/(Saul) if/because_that he_had_gone Dāvid Qəˊīlāh and_ Shāʼūl _he/it_said god he_has_alienated DOM_him/it in_hand_of_my if/because he_has_shut_himself_up by_going in_a_city_of doors and_bar[s].

11 Will_they_deliver_me_up the_citizens_of Qəˊīlāh in_hand_of_his will_he_come_down Shāʼūl just_as he_has_heard servant_of_your Oh_YHWH the_god_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) tell please to_servant_of_your and_ YHWH _he/it_said he_will_come_down.
12 And_ Dāvid _he/it_said will_they_deliver_up the_citizens_of Qəˊīlāh DOM_me and_DOM men_of_my in_the_hand_of Shāʼūl and_ YHWH _he/it_said they_will_deliver_you(pl)_up.
13 and_ Dāvid _he/it_rose_up and_men_of_his about_six hundred(s) man and_they_went_out from_Qəˊīlāh and_they_went_about at_where they_went_about and_to_Shāʼūl/(Saul) it_was_told if/because_that Dāvid he_had_escaped from_Qəˊīlāh and_he_ceased to_go_forth.
14 And_ Dāvid _he/it_sat_down//remained//lived in_wilderness in_strongholds and_he/it_sat_down//remained//lived in_country in_the_wilderness_of Zīf and_he_sought_him Shāʼūl all_of the_days and_not he_gave_him god in_his/its_hand.
15 And_ Dāvid _he/it_saw[fn] if/because_that Shāʼūl he_had_come_forth to_seek DOM life_of_his and_Dāvid was_in_the_wilderness_of Zīf at_Ḩoresh.
16 and_ Yōnātān/(Yəhōnātān/(Jonathan)) _he/it_rose_up the_son_of Shāʼūl and_he/it_went to Dāvid Ḩoresh and_he_strengthened DOM his/its_hand in_god.
17 And_he/it_said to_him/it do_not be_afraid if/because not it_will_find_you the_hand_of Shāʼūl father_of_my and_you(ms) you_will_reign over Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_I I_will_become to_you (into)_second_in_rank and_also Shāʼūl father_of_my is_knowing right.
18 And_they_made both_of_them a_covenant to_(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before YHWH and_ Dāvid _he/it_sat_down//remained//lived at_Ḩoresh and_Yōnātān he_went to_house_of_his.
19 and_ Zīfī _they_went_up to Shāʼūl/(Saul) to_(the)_Giⱱˊāh to_say am_not is_Dāvid hiding_himself with_us in_strongholds at_Ḩoresh on_the_hill_of (the)_Hakilah which is_from_the_south_of (the)_Yəshimōn/(Jeshimon).
20 And_now to/from_all/each/any/every the_desire_of your_self_of_your the_king to_come_down come_down and_belongs_to_us to_deliver_him_up in_the_hand_of the_king.

24 And_they_arose and_they_went to_Zīf to_(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before Shāʼūl and_Dāvid and_men_of_his were_in_the_wilderness_of Māˊōn in_ˊArāⱱāh to the_south_of (the)_Yəshimōn.
25 And_ Shāʼūl/(Saul) _he/it_went and_men_of_his to_seek_him and_people_told to_Dāvid and_he/it_descended the_rock and_he/it_sat_down//remained//lived in_the_wilderness_of Māˊōn and_ Shāʼūl _he/it_listened and_he_pursued after Dāvid the_wilderness_of Māˊōn.
26 And_ Shāʼūl _he/it_went from_the_side_of the_mountain from_this and_Dāvid and_men_of_his were_from_the_side_of the_mountain from_this and_he/it_was Dāvid hurrying_away to_go from_face/in_front_of Shāʼūl and_Shāʼūl and_men_of_his were_surrounding (to) Dāvid and_near/to men_of_his to_catch_them.
27 And_a_messenger he_came to Shāʼūl to_say make_haste and_come if/because the_Fəlishtiy they_have_made_a_raid on the_earth/land.
28 And_ Shāʼūl _he_turned_back from_pursuing after Dāvid and_he/it_went to_meet the_Fəlishtiy therefore yes/correct/thus/so people_called (to)_place (the)_that Sela Hammahlekoth.
