1 And_he/it _was a _man one from the_Ramatayim Tsōfīm/(Zophim) from_hill of _ʼEfrayim and_his/its_name [was]_ʼElqānāh the _son _of Yəroḩām/(Jeroham) the _son _of ʼElīhū the _son _of Toḩū the _son _of Tsūf/(Zuph) an _ʼEfrātī.
2 And_to/for_him/it two _of wives [the]_name _of one [was]_Ḩannāh and_name _of the_second(fs) [was]_Fəninnāh and_he/it _was to/for_Fəninnāh children and_to/for_Ḩannāh there _[belonged]_not children.
3 And_he/it _would _go _up the_man (the)_that from_town _of_his from_days to_days to_worship and_to_sacrifice to/for_YHWH hosts in_Shiloh and_there the _two _of the _sons _of ˊĒlī Ḩāfənī and_Pinehas [were]_priests to/for_YHWH.
4 And_he/it _was the_day and_ ʼElqānāh _he/it _sacrificed and_he/it _gave to/for_Fəninnāh his/its_wife/woman and_to/for_all her/its_sons/descendants and_her/its_daughters portions.
5 And_to/for_Ḩannāh he _gave a _portion one double if/because DOM Ḩannāh he _loved and_YHWH he _had _closed her_womb/uterus.
6 And_provoke_her rival _of_her also provocation in_account _of to _disconcert_her/it if/because YHWH he _had _closed behind her_womb/uterus.
7 And_thus/so/as _follows he _did a _year in_year from_sufficiency she_ascended in_house _of YHWH thus she/it _provoked_her/it and_she/it _wept and_not she _ate.
8 And_he/it _said to/for_her/it ʼElqānāh her/its_husband/man Oh _Ḩannāh to/for_what _(why) are _you _weeping and_to/for_what _(why) not are _you _eating and_to/for_what _(why) is _it _sad your(fs)_heart am_not [am]_I good to/for_you(fs) from_ten sons.
9 And_ Ḩannāh _she/it _arose after had _eaten in_Shiloh and_after had _drunk and_ˊĒlī the_priest/officer [was]_sitting on the_seat at the _doorpost _of the _temple _of YHWH.
10 And_she [was]_bitter _of soul and_she/it _prayed to YHWH and_weeping she _wept.
11 And_she/it _vowed a _vow and_she/it _said Oh_YHWH hosts if really _(look) you _will _look in _the_affliction your(ms)_female _slave and_you(ms)_will _remember_me and_not you _will _forget DOM your(ms)_female _slave and_you(ms)_will _give to/for_your(ms)_female _slave offspring _of men and_I _will _give_him/it to/for_YHWH all _of the _days _of his/its_life and_(a)_razor not it _will _go _up on his/its_head.
12 And_it _was if/because she _had _increased to_pray to_(the)_face _of/in _front _of/before YHWH and_ˊĒlī [was]_watching DOM her/its_mouth.
13 And_Ḩannāh she [was]_speaking to her/its_heart only her/its_lips [were]_quivering and_her/its_voice not it _was _heard and_he/it _considered_her/it ˊĒlī to_be _drunk(fs).
14 And_he/it _said to_her/it ˊĒlī until when will _you(fs)_be _drunk remove DOM wine _of_your from_with_you.
15 And_ Ḩannāh _replied and_she/it _said no my_master [am]_a _woman hard _of spirit I and_wine and_strong _drink not I _have _drunk and_pouring _out DOM soul _of_my to_(the)_face _of/in _front _of/before YHWH.
16 Do _not give DOM servant _of_your to_(the)_face _of/in _front _of/before a _daughter _of worthlessness if/because out _of_great _of anguish _of_my and_provocation _of_my I _have _spoken until now.
17 And_ ˊĒlī _answered and_he/it _said go in_peace and_god _of Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel) may _he _grant DOM petition _of_your which you _have _asked from_with_him.
18 And_she/it _said servant _of_your may _she _find favour in/on/at/with_sight _of_your and_went the_woman on_way _of_her and_she/it _ate and_face _of_her not they _were to/for_her/it still.
19 And_rose _early in/on/at/with_morning and_worshiped to_(the)_face _of/in _front _of/before YHWH and_returned and_they _came to house _of_their the_Rāmāh_at and_ ʼElqānāh _he/it _knew DOM Ḩannāh his/its_wife/woman and_remembered_her YHWH.
20 And_he/it _was in_due _of the_days and_ Ḩannāh _she/it _conceived/became _pregnant and_she/it _gave _birth a _son and_she/it _called/named DOM his/its_name Shəmū^ʼēl if/because from_LORD asked_him.
21 And_he/it _ascended the_man ʼElqānāh and_all household _of_his to_offer to/for_YHWH DOM the _sacrifice _of the_days and_DOM vow _of_his.
22 And_Ḩannāh not she _went _up if/because she _said to/for_her/its_man/husband until he _will _be _weaned the_child and_bring_him and_appear with the _presence _of YHWH and_remain there until perpetuity.
23 And_he/it _said to/for_her/it ʼElqānāh her/its_husband/man do the_best in/on/at/with_eyes _of_you remain until weaned_you DOM_him/it only YHWH may _he _carry _out DOM word _of_his and_remained the_woman and_nursed DOM son _of_her until weaned_she DOM_him/it.
24 And_took _up_him with_her/it just_as weaned_him in/on/at/with_bull three and_ʼēyfāh one flour and_skin _of wine and_brought_him the _house _of YHWH Shiloh and_the_child [was]_a _lad.
25 And_slaughtered DOM the_bull and_brought DOM the_boy to ˊĒlī.
26 And_she/it _said pardon _me my_master [by]_the _life soul _of_your my_master I the_woman the_stood beside_you in/on/at/with_this to_pray to YHWH.
27 Concerning the_boy the_this I _prayed and_ YHWH _he/it _gave to_me DOM petition _of_my which I _asked from_with_him.
28 And_also I lent_him to/for_YHWH all _of the_days which he _has _been he [is]_asked to/for_YHWH and_worshiped there to/for_YHWH.
