2 And_they_had_taken_captive DOM the_women who were_in_it from_small and_unto great not they_had_killed anyone and_they_had_driven_them_away and_they_had_gone to_way_of_their.
3 And_ Dāvid _he_came and_men_of_his to the_city and_BEHOLD/LO/SEE it_was_burnt with_fire and_wives_of_their and_sons_of_their and_daughters_of_their they_had_been_taken_captive.
4 And_he_lifted_up Dāvid and_the_people which with_him/it DOM voice_of_their and_they_wept until that there_was_not (is)_in_them strength to_weep.
5 And_the_two_of the_wives_of Dāvid ʼAḩīnoˊam they_had_been_taken_captive the_Jezreelite_woman and_ʼAⱱīgayil the_wife_of Nāⱱāl the_Karməlī/(Carmelite).
6 And_it_was_distress to_Dāvid exceedingly if/because they_said the_people to_stone_him if/because the_soul_of it_was_bitter of_all_of the_people everyone on sons_of_his[fn] and_on daughters_of_his and_ Dāvid _he_strengthened_himself in_YHWH his/its_god.

13 and_he/it_said to_him/it Dāvid belong_to_whom you and_where from_this are_you and_ am_a_young_man _he/it_said from_Miʦrayim/(Miʦrayim) I a_slave of_a_man ˊAmālēqite and_he_abandoned_me my_master if/because I_was_sick the_day (the)_three.
14 We we_had_made_a_raid the_Negeⱱ_of the_Kerethite[s] and_on that_which belongs_to_Yəhūdāh/(Judah) and_on the_Negeⱱ_of Kālēⱱ/(Caleb) and_DOM Tsiqlag/(Ziklag) we_had_burnt with_fire.
15 And_he/it_said to_him/it Dāvid will_you_take_me_down to the_marauding_band the_this and_he/it_said swear to/for_me by_god if you_will_kill_me and_if you_will_deliver_me_up in_the_hand_of my_master and_I_will_take_you_down to the_marauding_band (the)_this.
16 And_he_took_him_down and_BEHOLD/LO/SEE they_were_spread_out over the_surface_of all_of the_earth/land eating and_drinking and_celebrating in_all_of the_plunder (the)_great which they_had_taken from_the_land_of the_Fəlishtiy and_from_the_land_of Yəhūdāh.
17 And_he_struck_them_down Dāvid from_the_twilight and_unto the_evening of_their_next_of_day and_not he_escaped from_them anyone if/because (if) four hundred(s) man young_man who they_rode on the_camels and_they_fled.
18 And_ Dāvid _he_rescued DOM all_of that ˊAmālēq they_had_taken and_DOM the_two_of wives_of_his Dāvid he_rescued.
19 And_not it_was_missing to/for_them from the_small(sg) and_unto the_great and_unto sons and_daughters and_from_the_booty and_unto all_of that they_had_taken to/for_them (the)_everything Dāvid he_brought_back.
20 And_ Dāvid _he/it_took DOM all_of the_sheep and_the_cattle they_drove_them to_(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before the_livestock (the)_that and_they_said this is_the_booty_of Dāvid.
21 And_ Dāvid _he_came to two_hundred the_men who they_had_been_too_exhausted for_going after Dāvid and_they_had_left_them_behind at_the_wadi_of (the)_Bəsōr and_they_went_out to_meet Dāvid and_to_meet the_people which with_him/it and_ Dāvid _he_approached DOM the_people and_he_asked to/for_them to_welfare.
22 and_ every_of _he_answered man evil and_worthlessness of_the_men who they_had_gone with Dāvid and_they_said because that not they_went with_me not we_will_give to/for_them any_of_the_booty which we_have_recovered if/because (if) everyone DOM his/its_wife/woman and_DOM children_of_his and_they_will_lead_them_away and_they_will_go.
23 and_ Dāvid _he/it_said not you(pl)_must_do thus my_brothers_of_my DOM that_which he_has_given YHWH to/for_us and_he_has_kept us and_he/it_gave DOM the_marauding_band which_came on_us in_hand_of_our.
24 And_who will_he_listen to/for_you(pl) to_the_message/thing/matter the_this if/because like_the_share of_the_one_who_went_down in_battle and_like_the_share_of the_one_who_remained with the_vessels alike they_will_share.

26 and_ Dāvid _he_came to Tsiqlag/(Ziklag) and_he_sent some_of_the_booty to_the_elders_of Yəhūdāh/(Judah) to_friend_of_his to_say HERE to/for_you(pl) a_blessing from_the_booty_of the_enemies_of YHWH.
27 For_those_who in_house_of ʼēl and_for_those_who were_in_Ramoth_of the_Negeⱱ and_for_those_who were_in_Yattir/(Jattir).
28 And_for_those_who were_in_ˊArōˊēr and_for_those_who were_in_Sifmōt and_for_those_who were_in_ʼEshtəmoˊa.
