Nolite in sublime.

Non ait: Nolite quærere or solliciti esse about cibo or vestimento, but expressius quid manducetis aut quid bibatis. In quo videntur argui hi qui, spreto victu or vestitu communi, lautiora or austeriora præ his when/with to_whom vivunt, alimenta or indumenta requirunt. Nolite in sublime. Prohibita sollicitudine victus or vestitus, which are to necessitatem, prohibet also superbiam which solet about istis superabundantibus consequi: ideo this ne requiratis, because talis sollicitudo facit infidelibus similes.

TSNTyndale Study Notes:

12:22-34 Jesus’ warning against greed (12:13-21) is followed by teaching about living in dependence on God. Jesus’ disciples were to focus on God’s Kingdom and his purpose in this world rather than being obsessed with possessions.

UTNuW Translation Notes:

you_all not /be/_seeking what ˱you_all˲_/may/_eat (Some words not found in SR-GNT: καὶ ὑμεῖς μὴ ζητεῖτε τί φάγητε ἢ τί πίητε καὶ μὴ μετεωρίζεσθε)

The word seek has a specific meaning here. It does not mean to look for these things because they have been lost. Alternate translation: “do not concentrate on what you will eat and drink”
