OET (OET-RV) So don’t let Hizkiyah deceive you or mislead you like this. Don’t believe him, because no god of any nation or kingdom has been able to save his people from my ancestors or from me. So your god certainly won’t be able to protect you from my army.OET logo mark

OET-LVAnd_now not Ḩizqiyyāh let_him_deceive you(pl) and_not let_him_mislead you(pl) like_this and_do_not believe to_him/it if/because not any_of it_has_been_able god of_any_of nation and_kingdom people_of_its to_deliver from_hand_of_my and_from_the_hand_of my_fathers_of_my indeed if/because gods_of_your(pl) not they_will_deliver you(pl) from_hand_of_my.OET logo mark

ULTAnd now do not let Hezekiah deceive you all and do not let him mislead you all like this. And do not believe him for any god of any nation or kingdom has not been able to deliver his people from my hand or from the hand of my fathers. Also, indeed, your God will not deliver you all from my hand.”

USTSo do not allow Hezekiah to deceive you like this. Do not believe what he says, because no god of any nation or kingdom has ever been able to rescue his people from being conquered by my army and the armies of my ancestors. So certainly your god will not be able to rescue you from my power.”

BSB & MSBSo now, do not let Hezekiah deceive you, and do not let him mislead you like this. Do not believe him, for no god of any nation or kingdom has been able to deliver his people from my hand or from the hand of my fathers. How much less will your God deliver you from my hand!”

WEBBE & WMBBNow therefore don’t let Hezekiah deceive you nor persuade you in this way. Don’t believe him, for no god of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people out of my hand, and out of the hand of my fathers. How much less will your God deliver you out of my hand?”

NETNow don’t let Hezekiah deceive you or mislead you like this. Don’t believe him, for no god of any nation or kingdom has been able to rescue his people from my power or the power of my predecessors. So how can your gods rescue you from my power?’ ”

LSVAnd now, do not let Hezekiah lift you up, nor persuade you thus, nor give credence to him, for no god of any nation and kingdom is able to deliver his people from my hand and from the hand of my fathers: also, surely your God does not deliver you from my hand!”

FBVSo don't let Hezekiah fool you, and don't let him mislead you like this. Don't trust him, for no god of any nation or kingdom has been able to save their people from me or from my fathers. So it's even less possible for your god to save you from me!”

T4TSo do not allow Hezekiah to deceive you like this. Do not believe what he says, because no god of any nation or kingdom has ever been able to rescue his people from being conquered by my army and the armies of my ancestors. So certainly your god will not be able to rescue you from my power' .”

LEBSo now, do not let Hezekiah deceive you. Do not let him urge you according to this. Do not put trust in him, for no god of any nation and kingdom has been able to save his people from my hand and from the hand of my ancestors.[fn] Surely then your God will not save you from my hand!’ ”

BBESo do not be tricked by Hezekiah or let him get you to do this, and do not put any faith in what he says: for no god of any nation or kingdom has been able to keep his people safe from my hands, or the hands of my fathers: how much less will your God keep you safe from my hands!

MoffCome, do not let Hezekiah delude you or beguile you like this; do not believe him. No god of any nation or realm has been able to save his people from me or from my fathers; much less shall your gods.”

JPSNow therefore let not Hezekiah beguile you, nor persuade you after this manner, neither believe ye him; for no god of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people out of my hand, and out of the hand of my fathers; how much less shall your God deliver you out of my hand?'

ASVNow therefore let not Hezekiah deceive you, nor persuade you after this manner, neither believe ye him; for no god of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people out of my hand, and out of the hand of my fathers: how much less shall your God deliver you out of my hand?

DRATherefore let not Ezechias deceive you, nor delude you with a vain persuasion, and do not believe him. For if no god of all the nations and kingdoms, could deliver his people out of my hand, and out of the hand of my fathers, consequently neither shall your God be able to deliver you out of my hand.

YLT'And, now, let not Hezekiah lift you up, nor persuade you thus, nor give credence to him, for no god of any nation and kingdom is able to deliver his people from my hand, and from the hand of my fathers: also, surely your God doth not deliver you from my hand!'

DrbyAnd now, let not Hezekiah deceive you, nor persuade you in this manner, neither yet believe him; for no [fn]god of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people out of my hand, nor out of the hand of my fathers: how much less shall your [fn]God deliver you out of my hand?

RVNow therefore let not Hezekiah deceive you, nor persuade you on this manner, neither believe ye him: for no god of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people out of mine hand, and out of the hand of my fathers: how much less shall your God deliver you out of mine hand?
(Now therefore let not Hezekiah deceive you, nor persuade you on this manner, neither believe ye/you_all him: for no god of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people out of mine hand, and out of the hand of my fathers: how much less shall your God deliver you out of mine hand?)

SLTAnd now Hezekiah shall not deceive you, and he shall not stimulate you according to this, and ye shall not believe upon him: for not any God of any nation and kingdom was able to deliver his people out of my hand, and out of the hand of my father: much less shall your God deliver you out of my hand.

WbstrNow therefore let not Hezekiah deceive you, nor persuade you in this manner, neither yet believe him: for no god of any nation or kingdom hath been able to deliver his people out of my hand, and out of the hand of my fathers: how much less shall your God deliver you out of my hand?

KJB-1769Now therefore let not Hezekiah deceive you, nor persuade you on this manner, neither yet believe him: for no god of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people out of mine hand, and out of the hand of my fathers: how much less shall your God deliver you out of mine hand?

KJB-1611Now therefore let not Hezekiah deceiue you, nor perswade you on this manner, neither yet beleeue him: for no god of any nation or kingdome was able to deliuer his people out of mine hand, & out of the hand of my fathers: how much lesse shall your God deliuer you out of mine hand?
(Modernised spelling is same as from KJB-1769 above)

BshpsWherfore nowe let not Hezekia deceaue you, nor persuade you of this fassion, nor yet beleue him: For as no god among all nations and kingdomes, was able to rid his people out of my hand and out of the hand of my fathers: Howe much lesse shall your gods be able to kepe you out of my hande?
(Wherefore now let not Hezekia deceive you, nor persuade you of this fassion, nor yet believe him: For as no god among all nations and kingdoms, was able to rid his people out of my hand and out of the hand of my fathers: How much less shall your gods be able to keep you out of my hand?)

GnvaNowe therefore let not Hezekiah deceiue you, nor seduce you after this sort, neither beleeue ye him: for none of all the gods of any nation or kingdome was able to deliuer his people out of mine hande and out of the hande of my fathers: howe much lesse shall your gods deliuer you out of mine hande?
(Now therefore let not Hezekiah deceive you, nor seduce you after this sort, neither believe ye/you_all him: for none of all the gods of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people out of mine hand and out of the hand of my fathers: how much less shall your gods deliver you out of mine hand?)

CvdlTherfore let not Ezechias now disceaue you, and let him not persuade you eny soch thinge, and beleue him not. For yf no god of all the Heythe and kyngdomes might delyuer his people fro my hande and from the hande of my progenitours, then shal not youre goddes be able to delyuer you fro my hande.
(Therefore let not Ezechias now deceive you, and let him not persuade you any such thing, and believe him not. For if no god of all the Heathen and kingdoms might deliver his people from my hand and from the hand of my progenitours, then shall not your(pl) gods be able to deliver you from my hand.)

WyclTherfor Ezechie disseyue not you, nether scorne bi veyn counselyng, nethir bileue ye to hym; for if no god of alle folkis and cuntreis myyte delyuere his puple fro myn hond, and fro the hond of my fadris, suyngli nether youre God schal mowe delyuere you fro this myn hond.
(Therefore Ezechie deceive not you, neither scorn by vain counseling, neither believe ye/you_all to him; for if no god of all folks/people and countries might deliver his people from mine hand, and from the hand of my fathers, suyngli neither your(pl) God shall more deliver you from this mine hand.)

(So let you now Hiskia not ontoetzen and let you such not discuss and believes him not. Because so no/not God all heathens and kingdoms has be people may from mine and mine fathers hand save/rescue, so become also you your(pl) gods not save/rescue from mine Hand.)

(not/no you(pl) therefore deceive Ezechias, but_not in_vain persuasione deludat, nor believe to_him.

BrTrNow then, let not Ezekias deceive you, and let him not make you thus confident, and believe him not: for no god of any kingdom or nation is at all able to deliver his people out of my hand, or the hand of my fathers: therefore your God shall not deliver you out of my hand.
