BSB For I was like a gentle lamb led to slaughter;
⇔ I did not know that they had plotted against me:
 ⇔ “Let us destroy the tree with its fruit;
⇔ let us cut him off from the land of the living,
⇔ that his name may be remembered no more.”

OEB But I – like an innocent lamb
⇔ That is led to the slaughter was I.
 ⇔ Yea, all unconscious was I
⇔ Of the plots they were plotting against me–
⇔ To ruin the tree with its sap,
 ⇔ From the land of the living to root me
⇔ And banish my name out of mind.

And I have not known
That they have devised schemes against me: “We destroy the tree with its food,

FBV I was like a trusting little lamb being led away to be slaughtered. I didn't know that they had been plotting against me. They said, “Let's destroy the tree along with everything it produces. Let's kill him so no one will even remember his name.”

T4T Before he did that, I was like a lamb that was being led away to be slaughtered; I did not know what they were planning to do. LUT nämlich daß sie mich wie ein arm Schaf zur Schlachtbank führen wollen. Denn ich wußte nicht, daß sie wider mich beratschlagt hatten und gesagt: Laßt uns den Baum mit seinen Früchten verderben und ihn aus dem Lande der Lebendigen ausrotten, daß seines Namens nimmermehr gedacht werde!

BRN But I as an innocent lamb led to the slaughter, knew not: against me they devised an evil device, saying, Come and let us put wood into his bread, and let us utterly destroy him from off the land of the living, and let his name not be remembered any more.
