2 Both yesterday as _ well_ asthree _ days_ agoin/on/at/with _ was Shāʼūl king over _ us you you _ were[fn ] wwww [fn ] and _ the _ brought [fn ] DOM Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ he/it _ saidYHWH to/for _ yourself(m) you you _ will_ shepherdDOM people _ my DOM Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ you(ms) you _ will_ becomeas _ ruler over Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) .
3 And _ they _ cameall the _ eldersof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)to the _ king Ḩeⱱrōn _ at and _ made to/for _ them the _ king Dāvid a _ covenantin/on/at/with _ Ḩeⱱrōn to _ (the) _ face_ of/in_ front_ of/beforeYHWH and _ anointed DOM Dāvid as _ king over Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) .
4 [was] _ a_ sonof _ thirtyyear[s] Dāvid in/on/at/with _ reign _ he forty year[s] he _ reigned5 In/on/at/with _ Ḩeⱱrōn he _ reignedover Yə hūdāh/(Judah) seven years and _ six months and _ in/on/at/with _ Yə rūshālayim/(Jerusalem) he _ reignedthirty and _ three year[s] over all Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ Yihudah .
6 And _ he/it _ wentthe _ king and _ men _ his Yə rūshālayim against the _ Yə ⱱūşī/(Yə ⱱūşī/(Jebusite)s) [who _ was]_ dwellingthe _ earth/land and _ he/it _ saidto _ Dāvid to _ say not you _ will_ comehere if/because (if) turn _ back_ you the _ blind and _ the _ lame to _ say not he _ will_ comeDāvid here .
7 And _ captured Dāvid DOM the _ strongholdof _ Tsiyyōn/(Zion)that [is] _ the_ cityof _ Dāvid8 And _ he/it _ saidDāvid in _ the_ day (the) _ that any [one _ who]_ attacks(of) _ a_ Yə ⱱūşīand _ reach in/on/at/with _ water _ shaftand _ DOM the _ lame and _ DOM the _ blind [who _ are]_ hated[fn ] of _ the_ selfof _ Dāvidon/upon/above/on _ account_ of//he/it_ went_ inyes/correct/thus/so people _ saya _ blind_ [person]and _ lame not he _ will_ gointo the _ house .
9 And _ he/it _ sat_ down//remained//livedDāvid in/on/at/with _ stronghold and _ he/it _ calledto/for _ her/it the _ cityof _ Dāvidand _ he/it _ builtDāvid round _ aboutfrom the _ millo and _ inward .
10 And _ he/it _ wentDāvid going and _ powerful and _ LORD the _ godof _ hostswith _ him/it .
11 and _ sent Hiram the _ kingof _ Tsor/(Tyre)messengers to Dāvid and _ trees of _ cedarsand _ craftsmen _ skilledof _ woodand _ carvers _ ofof _ [the]_ stoneof _ a_ walland _ built a _ housefor _ Dāvid .
12 And _ he/it _ knewDāvid if/because _ thatestablished _ him YHWH as _ king over Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ because/when he _ had_ exaltedhis/its _ kingdom in _ account _ ofpeople _ his Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) .
13 and _ he/it _ tookDāvid again concubines and _ wives from _ Yə rūshālayim/(Jerusalem) after came _ he from _ Ḩeⱱrōn and _ born [fn ] [fn ] again to _ Dāvid sons and _ daughters .
14 And _ these [are] _ the_ namesthe _ born to _ him/it in/on/at/with _ Yə rūshālayim Shammūˊa and _ Shōⱱāⱱ and _ Nātān and _ Shə lomoh .
15 And _ Yāⱱə ḩar/(Ibhar) and _ ʼElīshūˊa and _ Nefeg and _ Yāfīˊa/(Japhia) .
16 And _ ʼElīshāˊma and _ ʼElyādāˊ and _ ʼElīfeleţ .
17 and _ heard [the] _ Fə lishə ttiyif/because _ thatpeople _ had_ anointedDOM Dāvid as _ king over Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ went _ upall [the] _ Fə lishə ttiyto _ search _ forDOM Dāvid and _ he/it _ listenedDāvid and _ he/it _ descendedto the _ stronghold .
18 And _ Fə lishə ttiy they _ had_ comeand _ spread _ outin/on/at/with _ valley of _ Rāfāʼ19 And _ inquired Dāvid in/on/at/with _ LORD to _ say go _ upagainst [the] _ Fə lishə ttiygive _ them in/on/at/with _ hand _ my and _ he/it _ saidYHWH to Dāvid go _ upif/because certainly _ (give)I _ will_ giveDOM the _ Fə lishə ttiy in/on/at/with _ hand _ your .
20 And _ came Dāvid in/on/at/with wwww and _ defeated _ them there Dāvid and _ he/it _ saidhe _ has_ broken_ throughYHWH DOM enemies _ my to/for _ my _ face/front like _ bursting of _ wateron/upon/above/on _ account_ of//he/it_ went_ inyes/correct/thus/so he _ calledthe _ namethe _ place (the) _ that wwww wwww .
21 And _ abandoned there DOM idols _ their and _ carried _ away_ them Dāvid and _ men _ his .
22 and _ they _ repeatedagain [the] _ Fə lishə ttiyto _ came _ upand _ spread _ outin/on/at/with _ valley of _ Rāfāʼ23 And _ inquired Dāvid in/on/at/with _ LORD and _ he/it _ saidnot you _ must_ go_ upgo _ aroundto behind _ them and _ come to/for _ them from _ opposite [the] _ balsam_ trees24 And _ let _ it_ bein/on/at/with _ hear _ you [fn ] DOM [the] _ soundof _ marchingin/on/at/with _ tops the _ balsam _ treesthen you _ will_ act_ decisivelyif/because then he _ has_ gone_ outYHWH to _ your _ face to _ strike _ downin/on/at/with _ army of _ [the]_ Fə lishə ttiy25 And _ he/it _ madeDāvid so just _ as commanded _ him YHWH and _ struck _ downDOM [the] _ Fə lishə ttiyfrom _ Geⱱaˊ until to _ go_ you Gezer .
