1 and_he/it_was after the_death_of Shāʼūl/(Saul) and_Dāvid he_returned from_when_defeated DOM (the)_Amalek and_ Dāvid _he/it_sat_down//remained//lived in_Tsiqlag/(Ziklag) days two.
2 And_he/it_was in_the_day the_third and_see/lo/see a_man was_coming from the_camp from_with Shāʼūl and_his_of_garments were_torn and_earth was_on his/its_head and_he/it_was when_he_came to Dāvid and_he_fell towards_land and_he_bowed_down.
3 And_he/it_said to_him/it Dāvid where from_this are_you_coming and_he/it_said to_him/it from_the_camp_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) I_have_escaped.
4 And_he/it_said to_him/it Dāvid what was_it the_message tell please to_me and_he/it_said (cmp) it_has_fled the_people from the_battle and_also many it_has_fallen of the_people and_they_have_died and_also Shāʼūl and_Yōnātān/(Yəhōnātān/(Jonathan)) his/its_son they_have_died.
5 And_ Dāvid _he/it_said to the_young_man who_had_told to_him/it how do_you_know if/because_that he_has_died Shāʼūl and_Yōnātān his/its_son.
6 And_he/it_said the_young_man who_had_told to_him/it by_chance_(happen_to_be) I_found_myself on_the_mountain_of (the)_Gilboˊa and_see/lo/see Shāʼūl/(Saul) was_leaning on spear_of_his and_see/lo/see the_chariotry and_the_owners_of the_horses they_overtook_him.
7 And_he_turned behind_him and_he_saw_me and_he/it_called to_me and_I_said here_I_am.
8 And_he/it_said to_me who are_you and_I_said[fn] to_him/it am_an_Amalekite I.
9 And_he/it_said to_me stand please over_me and_kill_me if/because it_has_seized_me (the)_dizziness if/because all_of still life_of_my is_in_me.
10 And_I_stood on/upon/above_him/it and_I_killed_him if/because I_knew if/because_that not he_will_live after he_had_fallen and_I_took the_crown which was_on his/its_head and_an_armlet which was_on arm_of_his and_I_brought_them to my_master here.
11 And_he_took_hold Dāvid on_his_of_garments[fn] and_he_tore_them and_also all_of the_men who with_him/it.
12 And_they_mourned and_they_wept and_they_fasted until the_evening on Shāʼūl and_on Yōnātān/(Yəhōnātān/(Jonathan)) his/its_son and_on the_people_of YHWH and_on the_house_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) if/because they_had_fallen by_sword.
13 and_ Dāvid _he/it_said to the_young_man who_had_told to_him/it where from_this are_you and_he/it_said am_the_son_of a_man a_sojourner an_Amalekite I.
14 And_he/it_said to_him/it Dāvid how not were_you_afraid to_stretch_out hand_of_your to_destroy DOM the__anointed_of YHWH.
15 And_ Dāvid _he/it_called to_one of_the_young_men and_he/it_said draw_near fall in/on/over_him/it and_he_struck_him_down and_he/it_died.
16 And_he/it_said to_him/it Dāvid blood_of_your[fn] be_on head_of_your if/because mouth_of_your_own it_has_testified in_you(ms) to_say I I_killed DOM the__anointed_of YHWH.
17 and_ Dāvid _he_made_a_lament DOM the_lamentation (the)_this on Shāʼūl/(Saul) and_on Yōnātān his/its_son.
18 And_he/it_said to_teach the_descendants_of Yəhūdāh/(Judah) Bow here it_is_written on the_book_of the_upright_.
19 The_beauty Oh_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) on places_of_your_high is_slain how they_have_fallen the_mighty_.
20 Do_not tell in_Gat do_not bear_news in_the_streets_of ʼAshqəlōn lest the_daughters_of they_should_rejoice the_Fəlishtiy lest the_daughters_of they_should_exult of_the_uncircumcised.
21 Oh_mountains_of in_Gilboˊa not dew and_not rain be_on_you(pl) and_fields_of contributions if/because there the_shield_of it_was_defiled the_mighty_ the_shield_of Shāʼūl not was_anointed with_oil.
22 From_the_blood_of those_slain from_the_fat_of the_mighty_ the_bow_of Yōnātān/(Yəhōnātān/(Jonathan)) not it_turned_back backwards and_the_sword_of Shāʼūl not it_returned empty.
23 Shāʼūl and_Yōnātān (the)_lovable and_(the)_pleasant in_their_of_lives and_in_their_of_death not they_were_separated more_than_eagles they_were_swift more_than_lions they_were_strong.
24 Oh_daughters_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) because_of Shāʼūl/(Saul) weep who_clothed_of_you(pl) scarlet with luxuries who_brought_up ornament[s]_of gold on clothing_of_your(pl).
25 How they_have_fallen the_mighty_ in_the_middle of_the_battle Yōnātān on places_of_your_high is_slain.
26 It_is_distress to_me on_you my_brother/kindred Yōnātān you_were_pleasant to/for_me very love_of_your it_was_wonderful to_me more_than_the_love_of women.
27 How they_have_fallen the_mighty_ and_ the_weapons_of _they_have_perished war.
2 and_he/it_was after thus and_ Dāvid _he_enquired by_YHWH to_say will_I_go_up in_one_of the_cities_of Yəhūdāh/(Judah) and_ YHWH _he/it_said to_him/it go_up and_ Dāvid _he/it_said where will_I_go_up and_he/it_said to_Ḩeⱱrōn.
2 And_he/it_ascended there Dāvid and_also the_two_of wives_of_his ʼAḩīnoˊam the_Jezreelite_ and_ʼAⱱīgayil the_wife_of Nāⱱāl the_Karməlī/(Carmelite).
3 And_his_of_men who with_him/it Dāvid he_brought_up each_man and_his/its_house(hold) and_they_lived in_the_cities_of Ḩeⱱrōn.
4 And_ the_people_of _they_came of_Yəhūdāh and_they_anointed there DOM Dāvid to_king over the_house_of Yəhūdāh and_people_told to_Dāvid to_say were_the_men_of Yāⱱēsh/(Jabesh) those_who they_buried DOM Shāʼūl/(Saul).
5 and_ Dāvid _he_sent messengers to the_people_of Yāⱱēsh and_he/it_said to_them be_blessed you(pl) to/for_YHWH that you(pl)_have_done the_loyalty the_this with master(s)_of_your(pl) with Shāʼūl and_you(pl)_have_buried DOM_him/it.
6 And_now may_he_do YHWH with_you(pl) covenant_loyalty and_faithfulness and_also I I_will_do with_you(pl) the_good (the)_this that you(pl)_have_done the_thing (the)_this.
7 And_now hands_of_your(pl) let_them_be_strong and_become (into)_sons_of strength if/because master(s)_of_your(pl) he_has_died Shāʼūl and_also DOM_me the_house_of they_have_anointed of_Yəhūdāh/(Judah) to_king over_them.
8 and_ʼAⱱnēr the_son_of Nēr the_commander_of the_army which belonged_to_Shāʼūl he_had_taken DOM Ish- bshet the_son_of Shāʼūl and_he_had_brought_him_over Maḩₐnāyim.
9 And_he_made_him_king to (the)_Gilˊād and_near/to the_Ashurite[s] and_to Yizrəˊʼēl/(Jezreel) and_over ʼEfrayim and_over Binyāmīn and_over Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) of_it_of_all.
10 was_a_son_of forty year[s] Ish- bshet the_son_of Shāʼūl when_he_became_king over Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_two years he_reigned only the_house_of Yəhūdāh they_were after Dāvid.
11 And_ the_number_of _he/it_was the_days which he_was Dāvid king in_Ḩeⱱrōn over the_house_of Yəhūdāh seven years and_six months.
12 and_ ʼAⱱnēr _he/it_went_out the_son_of Nēr and_the_servants_of Ish- bshet the_son_of Shāʼūl/(Saul) from_Maḩₐnāyim to_Giⱱˊōn.
13 And_Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) the_son_of Tsərūyāh/(Zeruiah) and_the_servants_of Dāvid they_went_out and_they_met_them at the_pool_of Giⱱˊōn together and_they_lived these_ at the_pool from_this and_these at the_pool from_this.
14 And_ ʼAⱱnēr _he/it_said to Yōʼāⱱ let_them_arise please the_young_men and_let_them_play before_us and_ Yōʼāⱱ _he/it_said let_them_arise.
15 And_they_arose and_they_passed_by by_number two_plus ten for_Binyāmīn and_for bshet the_son_of Shāʼūl and_two_plus ten of_the_servants_of of_Dāvid.
16 And_they_took_hold each on_the_head_of his/its_neighbour and_his_of_sword was_in_the_side_of his/its_neighbour and_they_fell together and_he/it_called (to)_place (the)_that Helkath Hazzurim which is_in_Giⱱˊōn.
17 And_it_became the_battle severe up_to muchness in_the_day (the)_that and_ ʼAⱱnēr _he_was_defeated and_the_men_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) to_(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before the_servants_of Dāvid.
18 And_they_were there three the_sons_of Tsərūyāh Yōʼāⱱ and_ʼAⱱīshay and_ˊAsāhʼēl and_ˊAsāhʼēl was_swift on_his_of_feet like_one of_the_gazelles which are_in_country.
19 And_ ˊAsāhʼēl _he_pursued after ʼAⱱnēr and_not he_turned_aside to_go to the_right and_to the_left from_after ʼAⱱnēr.
20 And_ ʼAⱱnēr _he_turned behind_him and_he/it_said you is_this Oh_ˊAsāhʼēl and_he/it_said I.
21 And_he/it_said to_him/it ʼAⱱnēr turn_aside to/for_yourself(m) to right_of_your or to left_of_your and_seize to/for_yourself(m) one of_the_young_men and_take to/for_yourself(m) DOM spoil_of_his and_not ˊAsāhʼēl he_was_willing to_turn_aside from_after_him.
22 And_he_repeated again ʼAⱱnēr to_say to ˊAsāhʼēl turn_aside to/for_yourself(m) from_after_me to/for_what will_I_strike_you towards_land and_how will_I_lift_up face_of_my to Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) your(ms)_brother/kindred.
23 And_he_refused to_turn_aside and_he_struck_him ʼAⱱnēr with_the_back_end(s)_of the_spear into the_belly and_it_went_out the_spear from_behind_him and_he_fell there and_he/it_died in_his_place[fn] and_he/it_was every_of (the)_one_who_came to the_place where he_fell there ˊAsāhʼēl and_he/it_died and_they_stood_still.
24 And_ Yōʼāⱱ _they_pursued and_ʼAⱱīshay after ʼAⱱnēr and_the_sun it_set and_they they_came to the_hill_of ʼAmmāh which is_on the_face_of Giyaaḩ the_way_of the_wilderness_of Giⱱˊōn.
25 And_ the_descendants_of _they_gathered_together of_Binyāmīn behind ʼAⱱnēr and_they_were (into)_a_band one and_they_stood on the_top_of a_hill one.
26 And_ ʼAⱱnēr _he/it_called to Yōʼāⱱ and_he/it_said to_perpetuity will_it_devour the_sword am_not do_you_know if/because_that bitter it_will_be at_last and_unto when not will_you_say to_people to_turn_back from_after brothers_of_their.
27 And_ Yōʼāⱱ _he/it_said by_the_life the_ʼElohīm if/because if_not you_had_spoken if/because then from_the_morning it_had_abandoned_pursuit the_people each from_after his/its_woman.
28 And_ Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) _he_gave_a_blast on_trumpet and_ all_of _they_stood the_people and_not they_pursued again after Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_not they_repeated again to_wage_war.
29 And_ʼAⱱnēr and_his_of_men they_went in_ˊArāⱱāh all_of the_night (the)_that and_they_passed_over DOM the_Yardēn/(Jordan) and_they_went all_of (the)_Bitron and_they_came Maḩₐnāyim.
30 And_Yōʼāⱱ he_returned from_after ʼAⱱnēr and_he_gathered DOM all_of the_people and_they_were_missed of_the_servants_of of_Dāvid nine- teen man and ʼēl.
31 And_the_servants_of Dāvid they_had_struck_down of_Binyāmīn and_among_the_men_of ʼAⱱnēr three hundred(s) and_sixty man they_had_died.
32 And_people_lifted_up DOM ˊAsāhʼēl and_they_buried_him in_the_tomb_of his/its_father which was_Bēyt- leḩem and_ all_of _they_went the_night Yōʼāⱱ and_his_of_men and_it_became_light to/for_them at_Ḩeⱱrōn.
3 And_it_became the_war long between the_house_of Shāʼūl/(Saul) and_between the_house_of Dāvid and_Dāvid was_going and_strong and_the_house_of Shāʼūl were_going and_weak.
2 and_they_were_born[fn][fn] to_Dāvid sons in_Ḩeⱱrōn and_he/it_was firstborn_of_his ʼAmnōn of_ʼAḩīnoˊam the_Jezreelite_.
3 And_was_his_of_second Kileab of_ʼAⱱīgayil[fn][fn] the_wife_of Nāⱱāl the_Karməlī/(Carmelite) and_was_the_third ʼAⱱīshālōm the_son_of Maˊₐkāh the_daughter_of Talmay the_king_of Gəshūr.
4 And_was_the_fourth ʼAdoniyyāh the_son_of Ḩaggit and_was_the_fifth Shəfaţyāh the_son_of ʼAⱱīţal.
5 And_was_the_sixth Yitrəˊām/(Ithream) of_ˊEglāh the_wife_of Dāvid these they_were_born to_Dāvid in_Ḩeⱱrōn.
6 and_he/it_was when_was (the)_war between the_house_of Shāʼūl and_between the_house_of Dāvid and_ʼAⱱnēr he_was strengthening_himself in_house_of Shāʼūl.
7 And_belonged_to_Shāʼūl a_concubine and_her_of_name was_Riʦfāh the_daughter_of ʼAyyāh and_he/it_said to ʼAⱱnēr why have_you_gone into the_concubine_of my_father_of_of.
8 And_it_glowed/burnt to_ʼAⱱnēr exceedingly on the_words/messages_of Ish- bshet and_he/it_said the_head_of a_dog am_I which belongs_to_Yəhūdāh/(Judah) the_day I_show loyalty with the_house_of Shāʼūl/(Saul) I_will_show_you(ms) to brothers_of_his and_near/to friend[s]_of_his_close and_not I_have_delivered_you in_the_hand_of Dāvid and_you_have_visited on_me the_guilt_of the_woman the_day.
9 Thus god may_he_do to_ʼAⱱnēr and_thus may_he_add to_him/it if/because just_as he_swore YHWH to_Dāvid if/because so I_will_do for_him/it.
10 To_take_away the_kingdom from_the_house_of Shāʼūl and_to_establish DOM the_throne_of Dāvid over Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_over Yəhūdāh from_Dān and_unto Bəʼēr Sheⱱaˊ.
11 And_not he_was_able again to_bring_back DOM ʼAⱱnēr a_message because_he_feared DOM_him/it.
12 and_ ʼAⱱnēr _he_sent messengers to Dāvid in_place_of_himself[fn] to_say belongs_to_whom the_land to_say make covenant_of_your with_me and_see/lo/see hand_of_my will_be_with_you to_bring_round to_you DOM all_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel).
13 And_he/it_said good I I_will_make with_you a_covenant only a_thing one I am_asking from_with_you to_say not you_will_see DOM face_of_my if/because (if) to_(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before you_bring DOM Mīkāl the_daughter_of Shāʼūl/(Saul) when_you_come to_see DOM face_of_my.
14 and_ Dāvid _he_sent messengers to Ish- bshet the_son_of Shāʼūl to_say give DOM wife_of_my DOM Mīkāl whom I_betrothed to_me for_a_hundred foreskins_of Fəlishtiy.
15 And_ Ish- _he_sent bshet and_he_took_her from_with a_husband from_with Palţīʼēl/(Paltiel) the_son_of Layish[fn].
16 And_he/it_went with_her her/its_husband/man going and_weeping after_her to Baḩurīm and_he/it_said to_him/it ʼAⱱnēr go return and_he_returned.
17 And_the_message_of ʼAⱱnēr it_was with the_elders_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) to_say both yesterday as_well_as the_third_day you(pl)_were seeking DOM Dāvid to_king over_you(pl).
18 And_now act if/because YHWH he_has_spoken to Dāvid to_say by_the_hand_of Dāvid servant_of_my to_deliver DOM people_of_my Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) from_the_hand_of the_Fəlishtiy and_from_the_hand_of all_of enemies_of_their.
19 And_he/it_spoke also ʼAⱱnēr in_the_ears_of Binyāmīn and_he/it_went also ʼAⱱnēr to_speak in_the_ears_of Dāvid at_Ḩeⱱrōn DOM all_of that was_good in/on_both_eyes_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_in_the_eyes_of all_of the_house_of Binyāmīn.
20 And_ ʼAⱱnēr _he_came to Dāvid Ḩeⱱrōn and_were_with_him twenty men and_ Dāvid _he/it_made for_ʼAⱱnēr and_for_the_men who with_him/it a_feast.
21 And_ ʼAⱱnēr _he/it_said to Dāvid let_me_arise and_let_me_go and_let_me_gather to my_master the_king DOM all_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) so_that_they_may_make with_you a_covenant and_you_will_reign over_all that it_desires self_of_your and_ Dāvid _he_sent_away DOM ʼAⱱnēr and_he/it_went in_peace.
22 And_see/lo/see the_servants_of Dāvid and_Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) was_coming from_the_raid and_plunder much with_them they_had_brought and_ʼAⱱnēr not_he was_with Dāvid in_Ḩeⱱrōn if/because he_had_sent_him_away and_he/it_went in_peace.
23 And_Yōʼāⱱ and_all the_army which with_him/it they_came and_people_told to_Yōʼāⱱ to_say he_came ʼAⱱnēr the_son_of Nēr to the_king and_he/it_sent_out/away_him/it and_he/it_went in_peace.
24 And_ Yōʼāⱱ _he_went to the_king and_he/it_said what have_you_done here he_came ʼAⱱnēr to_you to/for_what this did_you_send_him_away and_he/it_went completely_(go).
25 You_know DOM ʼAⱱnēr the_son_of Nēr if/because_that to_deceive_you he_came and_to_know DOM out_of_your_going and_DOM in_of_your_comings[fn] and_to_know DOM all_of that you are_doing.
26 And_ Yōʼāⱱ _he/it_went_out from_with Dāvid and_he_sent messengers after ʼAⱱnēr and_they_brought_back DOM_him/it from Sirah and_Dāvid not he_knew.
27 And_ ʼAⱱnēr _he_returned Ḩeⱱrōn and_he_turned_him_aside Yōʼāⱱ into the_middle_of the_gate to_speak with_him/it in_quietness and_he_struck_him there the_belly and_he/it_died for_the_blood_of ˊAsāh- ʼēl his/its_woman.
28 And_ Dāvid _he/it_listened from_after thus and_he/it_said am_innocent I and_my_of_kingdom from_with YHWH until perpetuity from_the_blood(s)_of ʼAⱱnēr the_son_of Nēr.
29 Let_them_whirl over the_head_of Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) and_near/to all_of the_house_of his/its_father and_not let_him_be_cut_off from_the_house_of Yōʼāⱱ one_who_suffers_a_discharge and_one_who_has_a_skin_disease and_one_who_takes_hold on_spindle and_one_who_falls by_sword and__lacking_of bread.
30 And_Yōʼāⱱ and_ʼAⱱīshay his/its_woman they_killed (to)_ʼAⱱnēr on that he_had_killed DOM ˊAsāhʼēl brother_of_their at_Giⱱˊōn in_battle.
31 and_ Dāvid _he/it_said to Yōʼāⱱ and_near/to all_of the_people which with_him/it tear garments_of_your(pl) and_gird_yourselves sackcloth(s) and_mourn to_(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before ʼAⱱnēr and_the_king Dāvid was_walking after the_bier.
32 And_they_buried DOM ʼAⱱnēr in_Ḩeⱱrōn and_he_lifted_up[fn] the_king DOM voice_of_his and_he_wept to the_grave_of ʼAⱱnēr and_ all_of _they_wept the_people.
33 and_he_made_a_lament the_king concerning ʼAⱱnēr and_he_said like_the_death_of a_fool will_he_die ʼAⱱnēr.
34 Hand_of_your not were_bound and_your_two’s_of_feet not to_bronze_fetters they_were_brought_near as_falls to_(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before sons_of injustice you_have_fallen and_ all_of _they_repeated the_people to_weep on/upon/above_him/it.
35 And_ all_of _it_came the_people to_make_to_eat DOM Dāvid bread while_still the_day and_ Dāvid _he_swore_an_oath to_say thus may_he_do to/for_me god and_thus may_he_add if/because if to_(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before goes the_sun I_will_taste bread or all_of anything.
36 And_all the_people they_paid_regard and_it_was_good in_their_of_eyes like_all that he_did the_king in/on_both_eyes_of all_of the_people it_was_good.
37 And_ all_of _they_knew the_people and_all Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) in_the_day (the)_that if/because_that not it_was from_the_king to_kill DOM ʼAⱱnēr the_son_of Nēr.
38 and_he/it_said the_king to servants_of_his am_not do_you(pl)_know if/because_that a_leader and_a_great_man he_has_fallen the_day the_this in_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel).
39 And_I the_day am_weak and_ king _I_am_anointed and_the_men the_these the_sons_of Tsərūyāh/(Zeruiah) are_too_hard for_me YHWH may_he_repay to_the_one_who_does_of (of)_the_evil according_to_of_his_evil.
4 and_ the_son_of _he/it_listened of_Shāʼūl/(Saul) if/because_that ʼAⱱnēr he_had_died in_Ḩeⱱrōn hands_of_his and_they_dropped and_all Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) they_were_terrified.
2 And_two_of men commanders_of marauding_bands they_were the_son_of Shāʼūl the_name_of the_one was_Baˊₐnāh and_name_of the_second was_Rēkāⱱ the_sons_of Rimmōn the_Bəʼērōtite from_(the)_sons of_Binyāmīn if/because also Bəʼērōt it_is_reckoned to Binyāmīn.
3 And_they_had_fled the_Bəʼērōtites to_Gittayim and_they_have_been there sojourning until the_day (the)_this.
4 and_belonged_to_Yōnātān/(Yəhōnātān/(Jonathan)) the_son_of Shāʼūl a_son stricken_of feet a_son_of five years he_was when_came the_report_of Shāʼūl and_Yōnātān from_Yizrəˊʼēl/(Jezreel) and_she_lifted_him his_of_nurse and_she_fled and_he/it_was when_she_made_haste to_flee and_he_fell and_he_became_lame and_his/its_name was_Mephibshet.

7 And_he/it_said to_him/it Dāvid do_not be_afraid if/because certainly_(do) I_will_do with_you covenant_loyalty because_of Yōnātān I_will_show_you(ms) and_I_will_restore to/for_yourself(m) DOM all_of the_land_of Shāʼūl/(Saul) I_will_show_you(ms) and_you(ms) you_will_eat food on table_of_my continually.
8 And_he_bowed_down and_he/it_said what servant_of_is_your (cmp) you_have_turned to the_dog (the)_dead who is_like_me.
9 And_he/it_called the_king (to) Tsīⱱāʼ/(Ziba) the_servant_of Shāʼūl and_he/it_said to_him/it all_of that it_belonged to_Shāʼūl and_to/for_all household_of_his I_have_given to_the_son_of your(pl)_master(s)_of_of.
10 And_you_will_work for_him/it DOM the_soil you and_your(pl)_of_sons and_your(pl)_of_servants and_you_will_bring and_it_was for_the_son_of your(pl)_master(s)_of_of food and_he_will_eat_it and_Mephibshet the_son_of your(pl)_master(s)_of_of he_will_eat continually food on table_of_my and_belonged_to_Tsīⱱāʼ fif- teen sons and_twenty servants.
11 And_ Tsīⱱāʼ _he/it_said to the_king according_to_all that my_master he_will_command the_king DOM servant_of_his so servant_of_your he_will_do and_Mephibshet was_eating on table_of_my like_one from_(the)_sons of_the_king.
12 And_belonged_to_Mephibshet a_son young and_his/its_name was_Mīkəʼ and_all/each/any/every (the)_resident_of the_house_of Tsīⱱāʼ were_servants of_Mephibshet.
13 And_Mephibshet was_dwelling in_Yərūshālam/(Jerusalem) if/because on the_table_of the_king continually he was_eating and_he was_lame the_two_of feet_of_his.
10 and_he/it_was after thus and_ the_king_of _he/it_died of_the_people_of of_ˊAmmōn and_ Ḩānūn _he_reigned his/its_son in_place_of_him.
2 And_ Dāvid _he/it_said I_will_do covenant_loyalty with Ḩānūn the_son_of Nāḩāsh just_as he_did his/its_father with_me covenant_loyalty and_ Dāvid _he_sent to_comfort_him by_the_hand_of his_servants_of_of concerning his/its_father and_ the_servants_of _they_came of_Dāvid the_land_of the_people_of ˊAmmōn.

6 And_ the_people_of _they_saw of_ˊAmmōn if/because_that they_had_made_themselves_odious with_Dāvid and_ the_people_of _they_sent of_ˊAmmōn and_they_hired DOM ʼArām Bēyt Rəḩoⱱ and_DOM ʼArām Tsōⱱāh/(Zobah) twenty thousand foot_soldier[s] and_DOM the_king_of Maˊₐkāh one_thousand man and_the_man_of Ţōⱱ two_plus ten thousand man.
7 And_ Dāvid _he/it_listened and_he_sent DOM Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) and_DOM all_of the_army the_powerful/mighty(pl).
8 And_ the_people_of _they_went_out of_ˊAmmōn and_they_deployed battle the_entrance_of the_gate and Tsōⱱāh and_Rəḩoⱱ and_the_man_of Ţōⱱ and_Maˊₐkāh were_they_of_alone in_country.
9 And_ Yōʼāⱱ _he/it_saw if/because_that it_was to_him/it the_face_of the_battle from_before and_from_behind and_he_chose from_all the_chosen__of in/on/at/with[fn] and_he_deployed to_meet ʼArām.
10 And_DOM the_rest_of the_people he_gave in_the_hand_of ʼAⱱīshay his/its_woman and_he_deployed to_meet the_people_of ˊAmmōn.
11 And_he/it_said if it_will_be_too_strong ʼArām for_me and_you_will_become to/for_me (into)_deliverance and_if the_people_of ˊAmmōn they_will_be_too_strong for_you and_I_will_come to_deliver to/for_you(fs).
12 Be_strong and_let_us_show_ourselves_strong for people_of_our and_for the_cities_of our_god_of_of and_YHWH he_will_do the_good in_his_of_eyes.
13 And_ Yōʼāⱱ _he_drew_near and_the_people which with_him/it for_battle on_ʼArām and_they_fled from_before_of_him.

16 And_ Hₐdadˊezer _he_sent and_he_brought_out DOM ʼArām which was_from_the_other_side_of the_river and_they_came Ḩēylām and_Shōⱱāk the_commander_of the_army_of Hₐdadˊezer was_before_of_them.
17 And_it_was_told to_Dāvid and_he_gathered DOM all_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_he/it_passed_through DOM the_Yardēn/(Jordan) and_he_came to_Ḩēylām and_ ʼArām _they_deployed to_ Dāvid _meet and_they_engaged_in_battle with_him/it.
18 And_ ʼArām _it_fled from_face/in_front_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_ Dāvid _he_killed of_ʼArām seven hundred(s) charioteer[s] and_forty thousand horsemen and_DOM Shōⱱāk the_commander_of its_army_of_of he_struck_down and_he/it_died there.

2 and_he/it_was to_the_time_of the_evening and_ Dāvid _he/it_rose_up from_under bed_of_his and_he/it_walked/wandered on the_roof of_the_house_of the_king and_he/it_saw a_woman bathing from_under the_roof and_the_woman was_good_of appearance very.
3 And_ Dāvid _he_sent and_he_enquired to/for_the_woman/wife and_he/it_said am_not is_this Bath- sheⱱaˊ the_daughter_of ʼElīˊām the_wife_of ʼŪriyyāh the_Ḩittiy.
4 And_ Dāvid _he_sent messengers and_he_took_her and_she_came to_him/it and_he_lay with_her/it[fn] and_she was_purifying_herself from_her_of_uncleanness and_she_returned to house_of_her.

6 And_ Dāvid _he_sent to Yōʼāⱱ send to_me DOM ʼŪriyyāh the_Ḩittiy and_ Yōʼāⱱ _he_sent DOM ʼŪriyyāh to Dāvid.
7 And_ ʼŪriyyāh _he_came to_him/it and_ Dāvid _he_asked to_the_welfare_of Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) and_to_the_welfare_of the_people and_to_the_welfare_of the_battle.
8 And_ Dāvid _he/it_said to_ʼŪriyyāh[fn] go_down to_your_of_house and_wash feet_of_your and_ ʼŪriyyāh _he/it_went_out from_the_house_of the_king and_it_went_out after_him the_present_of the_king.
9 And_ ʼŪriyyāh _he_lay_down the_entrance_of the_house_of the_king with all_of the_servants_of his_master(s)_of_of and_not he_went_down to house_of_his.
10 And_people_told to_Dāvid to_say not ʼŪriyyāh he_has_gone_down to house_of_his and_ Dāvid _he/it_said to ʼŪriyyāh am_not from_a_journey are_you coming why not have_you_gone_down to house_of_your.

12 And_ Dāvid _he/it_said to ʼŪriyyāh remain in_this_place also the_day and_tomorrow I_will_let_you_go and_ ʼŪriyyāh _he/it_sat_down//remained//lived in_Yərūshālam/(Jerusalem) in_the_day (the)_that and_from_the_next_day.
13 And_he/it_called to_him/it Dāvid and_he_ate before_him and_he_drank and_he_made_him_drunk and_he/it_went_out in_evening to_lie_down on_his_of_bed with the_servants_of his_master(s)_of_of and_near/to house_of_his not he_went_down.
14 And_he/it_was in_morning and_ Dāvid _he_wrote a_letter to Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) and_he_sent_ by_the_hand_of ʼŪriyyāh.
15 And_he_wrote in_letter to_say set DOM ʼŪriyyāh to the_front of_the_face_of of_the_battle (the)_severe and_you(pl)_will_turn_back from_after_him and_he_will_be_struck and_he_will_die.

17 And_ the_men_of _they_went_out the_city and_they_fought with Yōʼāⱱ and_it_fell some_of the_people some_of_the_servants_of Dāvid and_he/it_died also ʼŪriyyāh the_Ḩittiy.
18 And_ Yōʼāⱱ _he_sent and_he_told to_Dāvid DOM all_of the_matters_of the_battle.
19 And_he/it_commanded DOM the_messenger to_say just_as_you_finish DOM all_of the_matters_of the_battle to_speak to the_king.
20 And_it_was if it_will_rise the_anger_of the_king and_saying(ms) to/for_yourself(m) why did_you(pl)_draw_near to the_city to_fight am_not did_you(pl)_know DOM how they_will_shoot from_under the_wall.
21 Who did_he_strike_down DOM ʼAⱱīmelek the_son_of Jerub-Besheth am_not a_woman did_she_throw on/upon/above_him/it a_mill-stone_of an_upper_mill-stone from_under the_wall and_he/it_died in_Tēⱱēʦ to/for_what did_you(pl)_draw_near to the_wall and_you_will_say also servant_of_your ʼŪriyyāh the_Ḩittiy he_has_died.
22 And_he/it_went the_messenger and_he_came and_he_told to_Dāvid DOM all_of that he_had_sent_him Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab).
23 And_he/it_said the_messenger to Dāvid if/because they_prevailed over_us the_men and_they_went_out against_us the_field and_we_were on_them to the_entrance_of the_gate.
24 And_they_shot_arrows[fn] the_archers[fn] to servants_of_your from_under the_wall and_they_have_died some_of_the_servants_of the_king and_also servant_of_your ʼŪriyyāh the_Ḩittiy he_has_died.
25 and_ Dāvid _he/it_said to the_messenger thus you_will_say to Yōʼāⱱ not let_it_be_displeasing in_your_two’s_of_eyes DOM the_thing the_this if/because like_this and_like_this it_devours the_sword strengthen battle_of_your against the_city and_tear_it_down and_encourage_him.
26 And_ the_wife_of _she_heard of_ʼŪriyyāh if/because_that ʼŪriyyāh he_had_died her/its_husband/man and_she_mourned on husband_of_her.
27 And_he/it_passed_through the_mourning and_ Dāvid _he_sent and_he_gathered_her to house_of_his and_it_became to_him/it to/for_(a)_woman and_she/it_gave_birth to_him/it a_son and_it_was_displeasing the_thing which Dāvid he_had_done in/on_both_eyes_of YHWH.
12 and_ YHWH _he_sent DOM Nātān to Dāvid and_he_came to_him/it and_he/it_said to_him/it two_of men they_were in_a_city one one was_rich and_one was_poor.
2 To_the_rich_man flock[s] it_belonged and_herd[s] many very.
3 And_to_man there_belonged_not anything if/because (if) a_ewe-lamb one small which he_had_acquired and_he_nourished_it and_it_grew_up with_him/it and_with children_of_his together from_his_piece_of_of_bread it_ate and_from_his_of_cup it_drank and_in_his_of_bosom it_lay_down and_it_became to_him/it like_a_daughter.
4 And_ a_visitor _he_came to_the_man_of (the)_rich and_he_spared to_take/accept/receive one_of_his_own_sheep and_one_of_his_own_cattle for_doing for_traveler who_had_come to_him/it and_he/it_took DOM the_ewe-lamb_of the_man (the)_poor and_he_prepared_it for_man who_had_come to_him/it.
5 And_it_glowed/burnt the_anger of_Dāvid on_man exceedingly and_he/it_said to Nātān by_the_life of_YHWH if/because is_a_son_of death the_man who_did this.
6 And_DOM the_ewe-lamb he_will_restore fourfold consequence_of that he_did DOM the_thing the_this and_on that not he_showed_pity.
7 And_ Nātān _he/it_said to Dāvid you the_man thus YHWH he_says the_god_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) I I_anointed_you to_king over Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_I I_delivered_you from_the_hand_of Shāʼūl/(Saul).
8 And_I_gave to/for_yourself(m) DOM the_house_of your(pl)_master(s)_of_of and_DOM the_wives_of your(pl)_master(s)_of_of in_your_of_bosom and_I_gave to/for_yourself(m) DOM the_house_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_Yəhūdāh/(Yihudah) and_if little and_I_will_add to_you like_those and_like_those.
9 Why have_you_despised DOM the_message_of YHWH for_doing the_evil in_my_of_eyes[fn] DOM ʼŪriyyāh the_Ḩittiy you_struck_down with_sword and_DOM his/its_wife/woman you_took for_yourself to/for_(a)_woman and_him you_killed with_the_sword_of the_people_of ˊAmmōn.
10 And_now not it_will_depart the_sword from_your_of_house until perpetuity consequence if/because you_despised_me and_she/it_took DOM the_wife_of ʼŪriyyāh the_Ḩittiy to_be to/for_yourself(m) to/for_(a)_woman.
11 thus YHWH he_says here_I am_about_to_raise_up on_you calamity from_your_own_of_house and_I_will_take DOM wives_of_your to_your_two’s_of_eyes and_I_will_give_them to_your(pl)_of_neighbour and_he_will_lie with wives_of_your to_the_eyes_of the_sun (the)_this.
12 If/because you you_acted in_secret and_I I_will_do DOM the_thing the_this before all_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_before the_sun.
13 and_ Dāvid _he/it_said to Nātān I_have_sinned to/for_YHWH and_ Nātān _he/it_said to Dāvid also YHWH he_has_taken_away sin_of_your not you_will_die.
14 Nevertheless if/because indeed_(declare_contemptible) you_have_declared_contemptible DOM the_enemies_of YHWH by_thing the_this also the_son (the)_born to/for_yourself(m) surely_(die) he_will_die.
15 And_ Nātān _he/it_went to house_of_his and_ YHWH _he_struck DOM the_child whom the_wife_of she_had_borne of_ʼŪriyyāh to_Dāvid and_he_was_sick.
16 And_ Dāvid _he/it_sought DOM the_ʼElohīm for the_lad and_ Dāvid _he_fasted a_fast and_he_went and_he_passed_the_night and_he_lay ground_to_the.
17 And_they_stood the_elders_of his_house_of_of on/upon/above_him/it to_raise_him from the_earth/land and_not he_was_willing and_not he_ate with_them food.
18 And_he/it_was in_the_day the_seventh and_he/it_died the_child and_ the_servants_of _they_saw of_Dāvid to_announce to_him/it if/because_that he_had_died the_child if/because they_said here when_was the_child alive we_spoke to_him/it and_not he_listened to_our_of_voice and_how will_we_say to_him/it he_has_died the_child and_he_will_do harm.
19 And_ Dāvid _he/it_saw if/because_that servants_of_his were_whispering_to_one_another and_ Dāvid _he_understood if/because_that he_had_died the_child and_ Dāvid _he/it_said to servants_of_his has_he_died the_child and_they_said he_has_died.
20 And_ Dāvid _he/it_rose_up from_the_ground and_he_bathed and_he_anointed_himself and_he_changed garments_of_his[fn] and_he_went the_house_of YHWH and_he_bowed_down and_he_went to house_of_his_own and_he_asked and_they_set to_him/it food and_he/it_ate.
21 servants_of_his And_they_said to_him/it what is_the_thing the_this which you_have_done in_account_of the_child was_alive you_fasted and_you_wept and_when he_died the_child you_arose and_she/it_ate food.
22 And_he/it_said while_still the_child was_alive I_fasted and_I_wept if/because I_said who is_knowing and_he[fn] YHWH and_he_will_live the_child.
23 And_now he_has_died to/for_what this am_I fasting am_I_able to_bring_him_back again I will_be_going to_him/it and_he not he_will_return to_me.
24 And_ Dāvid _he_comforted DOM Bath- sheⱱaˊ his/its_wife/woman and_he_went to_her/it and_he_lay with_her/it and_she/it_gave_birth a_son and_she_called[fn] DOM his/its_name Shəlomoh/(Solomon) and_YHWH he_loved_him.
25 And_he_sent by_the_hand_of Nātān the_prophet and_he/it_called DOM his/its_name Yədīdəyāh/(Jedidiah) in_account_of YHWH.
26 and_ Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) _he_fought against_Rabāh of_the_people_of of_ˊAmmōn and_he_captured DOM the_city_of the_royalty.
27 And_ Yōʼāⱱ _he_sent messengers to Dāvid and_he/it_said I_have_fought against_Rabāh also I_have_captured DOM the_city_of the_waters.
28 And_now gather DOM the_rest_of the_people and_encamp on the_city and_capture_it lest I_should_take I DOM the_city and_it_will_be_called name_of_my on_it.
29 And_ Dāvid _he_gathered DOM all_of the_people and_he/it_went to_Rabāh and_he_fought against_it and_he_captured_it.
30 And_he/it_took DOM the_crown_of their_king_of_of from_under his/its_head and_its_of_weight was_a_talent_of gold and_stone_of precious and_it_became on the_head_of Dāvid and_the_plunder_of the_city he_brought_out much very.

13 and_he/it_was after thus and_belonged_to_ʼAⱱīshālōm the_son_of Dāvid a_sister a_beautiful and_her_of_name was_Tāmār and_he_loved_her ʼAmnōn the_son_of Dāvid.
2 And_it_was_distress to_ʼAmnōn to_make_himself_sick because_of Tāmār sister_of_his if/because was_a_virgin she and_it_was_difficult in/on_both_eyes_of ʼAmnōn for_doing to/for_her/it anything.
3 And_belonged_to_ʼAmnōn a_friend and_his/its_name was_Yōnādāⱱ/(Jonadab) the_son_of Shimˊāh the_brother_of Dāvid and_Yōnādāⱱ was_a_man shrewd very.

6 And_ ʼAmnōn _he_lay_down and_he_made_himself_sick and_he_came the_king to_see_him and_ ʼAmnōn _he/it_said to the_king let_her_come please Tāmār sister_of_my and_let_her_make_cakes to_my_of_eyes two_of cakes so_that_I_may_eat from_her_of_hand.
7 And_ Dāvid _he_sent to Tāmār to_the_house to_say go please the_house_of ʼAmnōn brother_of_your and_make to_him/it the_food.
8 And_ Tāmār _she_went the_house_of ʼAmnōn brother_of_her and_he was_lying_down and_she/it_took DOM the_dough and[fn] and_she_made_cakes to_his_of_eyes and_she_cooked DOM the_cakes.
9 And_she/it_took DOM the_pan and_she_poured_out before_him and_he_refused to_eat and_ ʼAmnōn _he/it_said send_out every_of person from_with_me and_ every_of _they_went_out person from_with_him.
10 And_ ʼAmnōn _he/it_said to Tāmār bring the_food the_chamber so_that_I_may_eat from_your_of_hand and_ Tāmār _she/it_took DOM the_cakes which she_had_made and_she_brought_them to_ʼAmnōn brother_of_her to_the_chamber.
11 And_she_brought_them to_him/it to_eat and_he_took_hold on_her and_he/it_said to/for_her/it come lie with_me my_sister_of_Oh.
12 And_she/it_said to_him/it no my_brother/kindred do_not humble_me if/because not it_will_be_done thus in_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) do_not do DOM the_disgraceful_folly (the)_this.

20 And_he/it_said to_her/it ʼAⱱīshālōm brother_of_her ʼAmnōn brother_of_your has_he_been with_you and_now my_sister_of_Oh keep_silent brother_of_is_your he do_not set DOM heart_of_your to_the_message/thing/matter the_this and_ Tāmār _she_dwelt (and)_a_desolate_ the_house_of ʼAⱱīshālōm brother_of_her.
21 And_the_king Dāvid he_heard DOM all_of the_things the_these and_it_glowed/burnt to_him/it exceedingly.
22 And_not ʼAⱱīshālōm he_spoke with ʼAmnōn (to)_from_bad and_unto good if/because ʼAⱱīshālōm he_hated DOM ʼAmnōn on the_thing_of (of)_that he_had_humbled DOM Tāmār sister_of_his.

27 And_he_urged in/on/over_him/it ʼAⱱīshālōm and_he_sent with_him/it DOM ʼAmnōn and_DOM all_of the_sons_of the_king.
28 and_ ʼAⱱīshālōm _he/it_commanded DOM servants_of_his to_say look please just_as_is_good the_heart_of ʼAmnōn with_wine and_I_will_say to_you(pl) strike_down DOM ʼAmnōn and_you(pl)_will_kill DOM_him/it do_not be_afraid am_not (cmp) I I_have_commanded you(pl) be_strong and_become (into)_sons_of strength.

32 and_ Yōnādāⱱ/(Jonadab) _he_answered the_son_of Shimˊāh the_brother_of Dāvid and_he/it_said not my_master let_him_say DOM all_of the_young_men the_sons_of the_king they_have_killed if/because ʼAmnōn for_him/it_being_alone he_has_died if/because on the_mouth_of ʼAⱱīshālōm it_has_been determined from_the_day_of he_humbled DOM Tāmār sister_of_his.
33 And_now not let_him_set my_master the_king to his/its_heart a_message to_say all_of the_sons_of the_king they_have_died if/because (if) ʼAmnōn for_him/it_being_alone he_has_died.
34 and_ ʼAⱱīshālōm _he_fled and_he_lifted_up the_servant who_was_keeping_watch DOM eyes_of_his[fn] and_he/it_saw and_see/lo/see a_people numerous were_coming from_the_road behind_him from_the_side_of the_mountain.
35 And_ Yōnādāⱱ _he/it_said to the_king there the_sons_of the_king they_have_come according_to_the_message_of your_servant_of_of so it_has_happened.
36 And_he/it_was just_as_he_finished to_speak and_see/lo/see the_sons_of the_king they_came and_they_lifted_up voice_of_their and_they_wept and_also the_king and_all servants_of_his they_wept a_weeping a_great very.
37 And_ʼAⱱīshālōm he_fled and_he/it_went to Talmay the_son_of ˊAmmiyḩūr[fn] the_king_of Gəshūr and_he_mourned on his/its_son all_of the_days.
38 And_ʼAⱱīshālōm he_fled and_he/it_went Gəshūr and_he/it_was there three years.
39 And_ Dāvid _it(f)_completed the_king to_go_out against ʼAⱱīshālōm if/because he_was_comforted on ʼAmnōn if/because he_had_died.
14 and_ Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) _he/it_knew the_son_of Tsərūyāh/(Zeruiah) if/because_that the_heart_of the_king was_towards ʼAⱱīshālōm.
2 And_ Yōʼāⱱ _he_sent to_Təqōˊī and_he/it_took from_there a_woman wise and_he/it_said to_her/it play_the_mourner please and_put_on please garments_of mourning and_do_not anoint_yourself oil and_you_will_be like_a_woman this days many who_has_been_mourning on a_dead_.
3 And_you_will_go to the_king and_you_will_speak to_him/it according_the_message the_this and_ Yōʼāⱱ _he/it_assigned DOM the_words/messages in_her_of_mouth.
4 And_she/it_said the_woman (the)_Təqōˊī to the_king and_she_fell on face_of_her towards_land and_she_bowed_down and_she/it_said save Oh_king.
5 and_he/it_said to/for_her/it the_king what is_to_you and_she/it_said indeed am_a_woman a_widow I and_he/it_died husband_of_my.
6 And_belonged_to_your_of_maidservant two_of sons and_they_struggled_together both_of_them in_the_field and_there_was_not a_deliverer between_them and_he_struck_him the_one DOM the_one and_he_killed DOM_him/it.
7 And_see/lo/see it_has_risen_up all_of the_clan on maidservant_of_your and_they_said deliver_up DOM the_one_who_struck_down_of his/its_woman so_that_we_may_put_him_to_death for_the_life_of his/its_woman whom he_killed and_so_that_we_may_destroy also DOM the_heir and_they_will_extinguish DOM coal_of_my which it_is_left to_not to_establish[fn] for_my_of_husband a_name and_a_remnant on the_surface_of the_soil.
8 and_he/it_said the_king to the_woman go to_your_of_house and_I I_will_command on_you.
9 And_she/it_said the_woman (the)_Təqōˊī to the_king be_on_me my_master the_king the_iniquity and_on the_house_of my_father_of_of and_the_king and_his_of_throne be_innocent.
10 and_he/it_said the_king the_one_who_speaks to_you and_you_will_bring_him to_me and_not he_will_repeat again to_touch on/over_you(fs).
11 And_she/it_said let_him_remember please the_king DOM YHWH god_of_your from_increasing[fn] the_avenger_of (the)_blood to_destroy and_not they_will_destroy DOM son_of_my and_he/it_said by_the_life of_YHWH if it_will_fall one_of_the_hair[s]_of your_son_of_of ground_to_the.

14 If/because certainly_(die) we_will_die and_we_like_(the)_waters which_are_spilled towards_land which not they_will_be_gathered and_not god he_takes_away life and_he_plans plans to_not he_will_be_throw_out from_him/it a_banished_.
15 And_now when I_have_come to_speak to the_king my_master DOM the_message the_this if/because they_have_made_me_afraid the_people maidservant_of_your and_she/it_said let_me_speak please to the_king perhaps he_will_do the_king DOM the_message_of his_maidservant_of_of.
16 If/because he_will_hear the_king to_deliver DOM maidservant_of_his from_the_palm_of the_man to_destroy DOM_me and_DOM son_of_my together from_the_inheritance_of god.
17 maidservant_of_your And_she/it_said may_it_become please the_message_of my_master the_king (into)_rest if/because like_the_messenger_of the_ʼElohīm is_so my_master the_king to_hear (the)_good and_(the)_bad and_YHWH god_of_your may_he_be with_you.
18 and_he_answered the_king and_he/it_said to the_woman do_not please hide from_me anything which I am_asking you and_she/it_said the_woman let_him_speak please my_master the_king.

23 And_ Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) _he/it_rose_up and_he/it_went to_Gəshūr and_he/it_brought DOM ʼAⱱīshālōm Yərūshālam/(Jerusalem).
24 and_he/it_said the_king he_will_turn to house_of_his and_my_of_face not he_will_see and_ ʼAⱱīshālōm _he_turned to house_of_his and_the_face_of the_king not he_saw.
25 and_like_ʼAⱱīshālōm not he_was a_man handsome in_all Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) to_praise exceedingly from_the_sole_of his_foot_of_of and_unto of_his_head_of_the_crown not it_was in_him/it a_blemish.

30 And_he/it_said to servants_of_his see the_portion_of_land_of Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) is_to hand_of_my and_to/for_him/it there barley(s) go and_set_it_on_fire[fn] with_fire and_ the_servants_of _they_set_on_fire of_ʼAⱱīshālōm DOM the_portion_land with_fire.

33 And_ Yōʼāⱱ _he_went to the_king and_he_told to_him/it and_he/it_called (to) ʼAⱱīshālōm and_he_came to the_king and_he_bowed_down to_him/it on face_of_his towards_land to_(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before the_king and_he_kissed the_king (to)_ʼAⱱīshālōm.
15 and_he/it_was from_after thus and_he/it_made to_him/it ʼAⱱīshālōm a_chariot and_horses and_fifty man who_ran before_him.
2 And_ ʼAⱱīshālōm _he_rose_early and_he_stood at the_side_of the_road_of the_gate and_he/it_was every_of the_man whom it_belonged for_him/it a_case_at_law to_come to the_king for_judgement and_he/it_called ʼAⱱīshālōm to_him/it and_he/it_said where from_this city are_you and_he/it_said is_from_one_of the_tribes_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) servant_of_your.
3 And_he/it_said to_him/it ʼAⱱīshālōm see matter_of_your are_good and_straightforward and_one_who_hears there_is_not to/for_yourself(m) from_with the_king.
4 And_ ʼAⱱīshālōm _he/it_said who will_he_make_me a_judge on_the_earth and_to_me he_will_come every_of person whom it_belongs for_him/it a_case_at_law and_a_judgement and_I_will_do_him_justice.
5 And_it_was when_drew_near anyone to_bow_down to_him/it and_he_stretched_out DOM his/its_hand and_he_took_hold_of to_him/it and_he_kissed to_him/it.
6 And_ ʼAⱱīshālōm _he/it_made according_the_manner the_this to/from_all/each/any/every Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) who they_came for_judgement to the_king and_ ʼAⱱīshālōm _he_stole DOM the_heart_of the_men_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel).
7 and_he/it_was from_the_end/extremity forty year[s] and_ ʼAⱱīshālōm _he/it_said to the_king let_me_go please so_that_I_may_pay DOM vow_of_my which I_vowed to/for_YHWH in_Ḩeⱱrōn.
8 If/because a_vow servant_of_your he_vowed when_I_dwelt at_Gəshūr in_ʼArām to_say if indeed_(dwell)[fn] he_will_bring_me_back YHWH Yərūshālam/(Jerusalem) and_I_will_serve DOM YHWH.
9 And_he/it_said to_him/it the_king go in_peace and_he/it_rose_up and_he/it_went to_Ḩeⱱrōn.
10 and_ ʼAⱱīshālōm _he_sent spies in_all the_tribes_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) to_say just_as_you(pl)_hear DOM the_sound_of the_ram’s_horn and_you(pl)_will_say he_has_become_king ʼAⱱīshālōm in_Ḩeⱱrōn.
11 And_DOM ʼAⱱīshālōm they_went two_hundred man from_Yərūshālam/(Jerusalem) who_had_been_invited and_who_were_going to_their_of_innocence and_not they_knew any_of thing.

15 And_ the_servants_of _they_said the_king to the_king according_to_all that he_will_choose my_master the_king here servants_of_are_your.
16 And_he/it_went_out the_king and_all household_of_his was_at_his_of_feet and_he_left the_king DOM ten women concubines to_guard/protect the_house.
17 And_he/it_went_out the_king and_all the_people was_at_his_of_feet and_they_stood the_house_of the_distance.
18 And_all servants_of_his were_passing_by at his/its_hand and_all the_Kerethite[s] and_all the_Pelethite[s] and_all the wwww hundreds (a)_man which/who they_went in/on/at/with from wwww on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in face/surface_of the.
19 And_he/it_said the_king to ʼIttay the_Gittiy to/for_what will_you_go also you with_us return and_dwell with the_king if/because are_a_foreigner you and_also are_an_exile you to_your_of_place.
20 was_yesterday your_coming and_this_day will_I_make_you_wander[fn] with_us to_go and_I am_going to where I am_going return and_take_back DOM brothers_of_your be_with_you covenant_loyalty and_truth.
21 And_ ʼIttay _he_answered DOM the_king and_he_said by_the_life of_YHWH and_by_the_life_of my_master the_king if/because (if) in_the_place_of (of)_where he_will_be there my_master the_king whether for_death or for_life if/because there he_will_be servant_of_your.
22 And_ Dāvid _he/it_said to ʼIttay come and_pass_on and_ ʼIttay _he_passed_on the_Gittiy and_all men_of_his and_all the_little_one[s] who with_him/it.

25 And_he/it_said the_king to_Tsādōq take_back DOM the_box_of the_ʼElohīm the_city if I_will_find favour in/on_both_eyes_of YHWH and_he_will_bring_me_back and_he_will_show_me DOM_him/it and_DOM habitation_of_his.
26 And_if thus he_will_say not I_delight on/over_you(fs) here_I_am let_him_do to/for_me just_as is_good in_his_of_eyes.
27 and_he/it_said the_king to Tsādōq the_priest/officer a_seer are_you return the_city in_peace and_ʼAḩīmaˊaʦ son_of_your and_Yōnātān/(Yəhōnātān/(Jonathan)) the_son_of ʼEⱱyātār the_two_of sons_of_your(pl) with_you(pl).
28 See I will_be_delaying in_the_wilderness_plains_of[fn] of_the_wilderness until comes message from_with_you(pl) to_announce to_me.
29 And_ Tsādōq _he_took_back and_ʼEⱱyātār DOM the_box_of the_ʼElohīm Yərūshālam/(Jerusalem) and_they_lived there.
30 And_Dāvid was_going_up on_the_ascent_of the_olive_trees going_up and_weeping and_head to_him/it was_covered and_he was_walking barefoot and_all the_people which with_him/it they_covered each his/its_head and_they_went_up going_up and_weeping.
31 And_Dāvid someone_told to_say ʼAḩītofel is_among_conspirators with ʼAⱱīshālōm and_ Dāvid _he/it_said make_foolish please DOM the_counsel_of ʼAḩītofel Oh_YHWH.

35 And_not with_you there are_Tsādōq/(Zadok) and_ʼEⱱyātār the_priests and_it_was every_of (the)_message which you_will_hear from_the_house_of the_king you_will_tell to_Tsādōq and_to_ʼEⱱyātār the_priests.
36 There there are_with_them the_two_of sons_of_their ʼAḩīmaˊaʦ of_Tsādōq and_Yōnātān/(Yəhōnātān/(Jonathan)) of_ʼEⱱyātār and_you(pl)_will_send by_their_of_hand to_me every_of message which you(pl)_will_hear.
37 And_ Ḩūshay _he_came the_friend_of Dāvid the_city and_ʼAⱱīshālōm he_came Yərūshālam/(Jerusalem).
16 And_Dāvid he_passed_on a_little from_the_top and_see/lo/see Tsīⱱāʼ/(Ziba) the_servant_of Mephi- bshet to_meet_him and_a_pair_of donkeys saddled and_were_on_them two_hundred bread[s] and_one_hundred bunches_of_raisins and_one_hundred summer_fruit and_a_jar_of wine.
2 And_he/it_said the_king to Tsīⱱāʼ what are_these_ to_you and_ Tsīⱱāʼ _he/it_said the_donkeys are_for_the_household_of the_king to_ride and_the[fn] and_the_fruit are_to_eat the_young_men and_the_wine is_to_drink the_weary_ in_wilderness.
3 And_he/it_said the_king and_where is_the_son_of your(pl)_master(s)_of_of and_ Tsīⱱāʼ _he/it_said to the_king there he_is_remaining in_Yərūshālam/(Jerusalem) if/because he_said the_day they_will_restore to_me the_house_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) DOM the_kingship_of my_father_of_of.

6 And_he_stoned with_stones DOM Dāvid and_DOM all_of the_servants_of the_king Dāvid and_all the_people and_all the_powerful/mighty(pl) were_from_his_of_right and_from_his_of_left.
7 And_thus Shimˊī he_said when_he_cursed get_out get_out Oh_man_of (the)_blood(s) and_Oh_man_of (the)_worthlessness.
8 He_has_brought_back on_you YHWH all_of the_blood(s)_of the_house_of Shāʼūl whom you_have_reigned in_place_of_him[fn] and_ YHWH _he/it_gave DOM the_royalty in_the_hand_of ʼAⱱīshālōm son_of_your and_here_you are_in_your_of_calamity if/because are_a_man_of blood(s) you.
9 And_ ʼAⱱīshay _he/it_said the_son_of Tsərūyāh/(Zeruiah) to the_king to/for_what will_he_curse the_dog (the)_dead the_this DOM my_master the_king let_me_pass_over please and_let_me_remove DOM his/its_head.
10 and_he/it_said the_king what to/for_me and_to_you(pl) Oh_sons_of Tsərūyāh thus[fn] he_is_cursing and[fn] YHWH he_has_said to_him/it curse DOM Dāvid and_who will_he_say why have_you_done thus.
11 and_ Dāvid _he/it_said to ʼAⱱīshay and_near/to all_of servants_of_his here son_of_my who he_went_out from_my_inward_of_parts is_seeking DOM life_of_my and_indeed if/because now the_Ben-_of (the)_jaminite leave_alone to_him/it and_let_him_curse if/because he_has_spoken to_him/it YHWH.
12 Perhaps he_will_look YHWH on_my_of_eye[fn] and_he_will_repay YHWH to_me good in_place_of curse_of_his the_day (the)_this.
13 And_ Dāvid _he/it_went and_his_of_men on_road and_Shimˊī was_going on_the_side_of the_mountain parallel_with_of_him he_went and_he_cursed and_he_stoned_them with_stones parallel_with_of_him and_he_dusted_them with_dust.
14 and_he_came the_king and_all the_people which with_him/it exhausted and_he_refreshed_himself there.
