2 And_he/it_was in_the_day the_third and_see/lo/see a_man [was]_coming from the_camp from_with Shāʼūl and_clothes_his [were]_torn and_dust [was]_on his/its_head and_he/it_was in/on/at/with_came_he to Dāvid and_fell towards_land and_paid_homage.
3 And_he/it_said to_him/it Dāvid where from_there are_you_coming and_he/it_said to_him/it from_camp of_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) I_have_escaped.
4 And_he/it_said to_him/it Dāvid what was_it the_things tell please to_me and_he/it_said (cmp) it_has_fled the_army from the_battle and_also many it_has_fallen of the_people and_died and_also Shāʼūl and_Yōnātān/(Jonathan) his/its_son they_have_died.
5 And_he/it_said Dāvid to the_young_man the_reporting to_him/it how do_you_know if/because_that he_has_died Shāʼūl and_Yōnātān his/its_son.
6 And_he/it_said the_young_man the_reporting to_him/it by_chance_(happen_to_be) I_found_myself in/on/at/with_mount the_Gilboˊa and_see/lo/see Shāʼūl [was]_leaning on spear_his and_see/lo/see the_chariots and_masters_of the_cavalry drew_close_him.
7 And_looked behind_him and_saw_me and_he/it_called to_me and_said here_I.
8 And_he/it_said to_me who [are]_you and_answered[fn] to_him/it [am]_an_ˊAmālēqite I.
9 And_he/it_said to_me stand please over_me and_kill_me if/because seized_me the_convulsions if/because all still life_my in/on/at/with_me.
10 And_stood on/upon/above_him/it and_killed_him if/because I_knew if/because_that not he_will_live after fallen_he and_took the_crown which [was]_on his/its_head and_bracelet which [was]_on arm_his and_brought_them to my_master here.
11 And_took_hold Dāvid in/on/at/with_clothes_his[fn] and_tore_them and_also all the_men who with_him/it.
12 And_mourned and_wept and_fasted until the_evening on Shāʼūl and_for Yōnātān/(Jonathan) his/its_son and_for the_people of_YHWH and_for the_house of_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) if/because they_had_fallen in/on/at/with_sword.
13 and_he/it_said Dāvid to the_young_man the_told to_him/it where from_there [are]_you and_he/it_said [am_the]_son of_a_man a_sojourner an_ˊAmālēqite I.
14 And_he/it_said to_him/it Dāvid how not were_you_afraid to_lift hand_your to_destroy DOM the_[one]_anointed of_YHWH.
15 And_he/it_called Dāvid to_one of_the_young_men and_he/it_said draw_near fall in/on/over_him/it and_struck_down_him and_he/it_died.
16 And_he/it_said to_him/it Dāvid blood_your[fn] [be]_on head_your if/because mouth_your_own it_has_testified in_you(ms) to_say I I_killed DOM the_[one]_anointed of_YHWH.
17 and_intoned Dāvid DOM the_lament the_this on Shāʼūl and_over Yōnātān his/its_son.
18 And_he/it_said to_taught the_descendants of_Yəhūdāh/(Judah) Bow here [it_is]_written on the_book the_jashar.
19 The_glory Oh_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) on high_places_your [is]_slain how they_have_fallen [the]_mighty_[ones].
20 Do_not tell in/on/at/with_Gat do_not bear_news in/on/at/with_streets of_ʼAshqəlōn lest they_should_rejoice the_daughters of_[the]_Fəlishtiy lest they_should_exult the_daughters the_uncircumcised.
21 Oh_mountains in/on/at/with_Gilboˊa not dew and_no rain upon_you_all and_fields of_contributions if/because there it_was_defiled [the]_shield of_[the]_mighty_[ones] the_shield of_Shāʼūl not [was]_anointed in/on/at/with_oil.
22 From_blood of_[those]_slain from_fat of_[the]_mighty_[ones] the_bow of_Yōnātān/(Jonathan) not it_turned_back backwards and_sword of_Shāʼūl not it_returned empty.
23 Shāʼūl and_Yōnātān the_beloved and_the_pleasant in/on/at/with_life_their and_in/on/at/with_death_their not they_were_separated than_eagles they_were_swift than_lions they_were_strong.
24 Oh_daughters of_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) because_of Shāʼūl weep the_clothed_you_all scarlet with luxuries the_put ornament[s] of_gold on apparel_your_all’s.
25 How they_have_fallen [the]_mighty_[ones] in_the_middle the_battle Yōnātān on high_places_your [is]_slain.
26 It_is_distress to_me for_you my_brother/kindred Yōnātān you_were_pleasant to/for_me very it_was_wonderful love_your to_me more_than_love of_women.
27 How they_have_fallen [the]_mighty_[ones] and_perished [the]_weapons of_war.
2 and_he/it_was after thus and_inquired Dāvid in/on/at/with_LORD to_say go_up in/on/at/with_one of_the_cities of_Yəhūdāh/(Judah) and_he/it_said YHWH to_him/it go_up and_he/it_said Dāvid where will_I_go_up and_he/it_said Ḩeⱱrōn_to.
2 And_he/it_ascended there Dāvid and_also the_two wives_his ʼAḩīnoˊam the_Yizrəˊēʼl/(Jezreel) and_ʼAⱱīgayil the_wife of_Nāⱱāl the_Karməlī.
3 And_men_his who with_him/it he_brought_up Dāvid each_man and_his/its_house(hold) and_they_lived in/on/at/with_towns of_Ḩeⱱrōn.
4 And_they_came the_people of_Yəhūdāh and_anointed there DOM Dāvid as_king over the_house of_Yəhūdāh and_told to_Dāvid to_say [were]_the_men of Yāⱱēsh/(Jabesh) [those]_who they_buried DOM Shāʼūl.
5 and_sent Dāvid messengers to the_people of Yāⱱēsh and_he/it_said to_them [be]_blessed you_all to/for_YHWH that you_all_have_done the_kindness the_this with master_your_all’s with Shāʼūl and_buried DOM_him/it.
6 And_now may_he_do YHWH to_you_all covenant_loyalty and_faithfulness and_also I I_will_do to_you_all the_good the_same that you_all_have_done the_thing the_this.
7 And_now let_them_be_strong hands_your_all’s and_be as_men_of of_strength if/because he_has_died master_your_all’s Shāʼūl and_also DOM_me they_have_anointed the_house of_Yəhūdāh/(Judah) as_king over_them.
8 and_ʼAⱱnēr the_son of_Nēr [the]_commander of_[the]_army which to_Shāʼūl’s he_had_taken DOM Ish- bshet the_son of_Shāʼūl and_brought_over_him Maḩₐnāyim.
9 And_made_king_him to the_Gilˊād and_near/to the_ʼAshūrī and_over Yizrəˊēʼl/(Jezreel) and_over ʼEfrayim and_over Binyāmīn and_over Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) all_it.
10 [was]_a_son of_forty year[s] Ish- bshet the_son of_Shāʼūl in/on/at/with_became_king_he over Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_two years he_reigned only the_house of_Yəhūdāh they_were after Dāvid.
11 And_he/it_was the_number the_days which he_was Dāvid king in/on/at/with_Ḩeⱱrōn over the_house of_Yəhūdāh seven years and_six months.
12 and_he/it_went_out ʼAⱱnēr the_son of_Nēr and_servants of_Ish- bshet the_son of_Shāʼūl from_Maḩₐnāyim Giⱱˊōn_to.
13 And_Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) the_son of_Tsərūyāh/(Zeruiah) and_servants of_Dāvid they_went_out and_met_them at the_pool of_Giⱱˊōn together and_they_lived these_[men] at the_pool on_one and_these at the_pool on_the_other_side.
14 And_he/it_said ʼAⱱnēr to Yōʼāⱱ let_them_arise please the_young_men and_fight in_front_us and_he/it_said Yōʼāⱱ let_them_arise.
15 And_came_forward and_passed in/on/at/with_counted two_plus ten for_Binyāmīn and_for_Ish- bshet the_son of_Shāʼūl and_two ten of_servants of_Dāvid.
16 And_grabbed each in/on/at/with_head his/its_neighbour and_sword_his in/on/at/with_side his/its_neighbour and_they_fell together and_he/it_called to_the_place (the)_that Helkath Hazzurim which in/on/at/with_Giⱱˊōn.
17 And_it_became the_battle severe up_to muchness in_the_day (the)_that and_defeated ʼAⱱnēr and_men of_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) to_(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before the_servants of_Dāvid.
18 And_they_were there three the_sons of_Tsərūyāh Yōʼāⱱ and_ʼAⱱīshay and_ˊAsāhʼēl and_ˊAsāhʼēl [was]_swift in/on/at/with_foot_his like_one the_gazelles which in/on/at/with_wild.
19 And_pursued ˊAsāhʼēl after ʼAⱱnēr and_not he_turned_aside to_go to the_right and_to the_left from_following ʼAⱱnēr.
20 And_looked ʼAⱱnēr behind_him and_he/it_said you [is]_this Oh_ˊAsāhʼēl and_he/it_said I.
21 And_he/it_said to_him/it ʼAⱱnēr turn_aside to/for_yourself(m) to right_your or to left_your and_seize to/for_yourself(m) one of_the_young_men and_take to/for_yourself(m) DOM spoil_his and_not he_was_willing ˊAsāhʼēl to_turn_aside from_following_him.
22 And_repeated again ʼAⱱnēr to_say to ˊAsāhʼēl turn_aside to/for_yourself(m) from_following_me to/for_what strike_you towards_land and_how will_I_lift_up face_my to Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) your(ms)_brother/kindred.
23 And_refused to_turn_away and_struck_him ʼAⱱnēr in/on/at/with_butt the_spear into the_stomach and_came_out the_spear at_back_his and_fell there and_he/it_died on_the_spot_he[fn] and_he/it_was every the_came to the_place where he_fell there ˊAsāhʼēl and_he/it_died and_stood_still.
24 And_pursued Yōʼāⱱ and_ʼAⱱīshay after ʼAⱱnēr and_the_sun it_set and_they they_came to the_hill of_ʼAmmāh which [is]_on the_face of_Giyaaḩ the_way of_the_wilderness of_Giⱱˊōn.
25 And_rallied the_descendants of_Binyāmīn behind ʼAⱱnēr and_they_were as_band one and_took_stand on [the]_top of_a_hill one.
26 And_he/it_called ʼAⱱnēr to Yōʼāⱱ and_he/it_said for_ever will_it_devour [the]_sword am_not do_you_know if/because_that bitter it_will_be in/on/at/with_end and_unto when not will_you_say to_the_people to_turn from_pursuing brothers_their.
27 And_he/it_said Yōʼāⱱ [by]_the_life the_ʼElohīm if/because if_not you_had_spoken if/because then until_the_morning it_had_abandoned_pursuit the_people each from_pursuit his/its_woman.
28 And_blew Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) in/on/at/with_trumpet and_they_stood all the_people and_not they_pursued again after Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_not they_repeated again to_fight.
29 And_ʼAⱱnēr and_men_his they_went in/on/at/with_ˊₐrāⱱāh all the_night (the)_that and_crossed DOM the_Yardēn/(Jordan) and_marching all the_forenoon and_they_came Maḩₐnāyim.
30 And_Yōʼāⱱ he_returned from_pursuing ʼAⱱnēr and_gathered_together DOM all the_people and_missing of_servants of_Dāvid nine- teen man and_Asah- el.
31 And_servants of_Dāvid they_had_struck_down of_Binyāmīn and_in/on/at/with_men of_ʼAⱱnēr three hundred(s) and_sixty man they_had_died.
32 And_took_up DOM ˊAsāhʼēl and_buried_him in/on/at/with_tomb his/its_father which [was]_Bēyt- lehem and_marched all the_night Yōʼāⱱ and_men_his and_broke to/for_them in/on/at/with_Ḩeⱱrōn.
3 And_it_became the_war long between the_house of_Shāʼūl and_between the_house of_Dāvid and_Dāvid [was]_going and_stronger_and_stronger and_house of_Shāʼūl [were]_going and_weaker_and_weaker.
2 and_born[fn][fn] to_Dāvid sons in/on/at/with_Ḩeⱱrōn and_he/it_was firstborn_his ʼAmnōn by_ʼAḩīnoˊam the_Yizrəˊēʼl/(Jezreel).
3 And_second_his Kileab by_ʼAⱱīgayil[fn][fn] the_wife of_Nāⱱāl the_Karməlī and_the_third ʼAⱱīshālōm the_son of_Maˊₐkāh the_daughter of_Talimay the_king of_Gəshūr.
4 And_the_fourth ʼAdoniyyāh the_son of_Ḩaggit and_the_fifth Shəfaţyāh the_son of_ʼAⱱīţal.
5 And_the_sixth Yitrəˊām/(Ithream) by_ˊEglāh the_wife of_Dāvid these they_were_born to_Dāvid in/on/at/with_Ḩeⱱrōn.
6 and_he/it_was in/on/at/with_there_was the_war between the_house of_Shāʼūl and_between the_house of_Dāvid and_ʼAⱱnēr he_was strengthening_himself in_house_of Shāʼūl.
7 And_had_Shāʼūl a_concubine and_name_whose [was]_Riʦfāh the_daughter of_ʼAyyāh and_he/it_said to ʼAⱱnēr why have_you_gone into the_concubine father’s_my.
8 And_it_glowed/burned to_ʼAⱱnēr exceedingly on the_words of_Ish- bshet and_he/it_said head of_a_dog [am]_I which for_Yəhūdāh/(Judah) the_day I_show loyalty with the_house of_Shāʼūl I_will_show_you(ms) to brothers_his and_near/to friends_his and_not given_you in/on/at/with_hands of_Dāvid and_charge of_me the_guilt the_woman the_day.
9 Thus may_he_do god to_ʼAⱱnēr and_so may_he_add to_him/it if/because just_as he_swore YHWH to_Dāvid if/because so I_will_do for_him/it.
10 To_transfer the_kingdom from_house of_Shāʼūl and_to_establish DOM the_throne of_Dāvid over Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_over Yəhūdāh from_Dān and_unto Bəʼēr Sheⱱaˊ.
11 And_not he_was_able again to_answer DOM ʼAⱱnēr a_word because_feared_he DOM_him/it.
12 and_sent ʼAⱱnēr messengers to Dāvid on_behalf_his[fn] to_say to_belong_whom [the]_land to_say make covenant_your with_me and_see/lo/see hand_my with_you to_bring_over to_you DOM all Yisrāʼēl/(Israel).
13 And_he/it_said good I I_will_make with_you a_covenant only a_thing one I [am]_asking from_with_you to_say not you_will_see DOM face_my if/because (if) to_(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before bring_you DOM Mīkāl the_daughter of_Shāʼūl in/on/at/with_come_you to_see DOM face_me.
14 and_sent Dāvid messengers to Ish- bshet the_son of_Shāʼūl to_say give DOM wife_my DOM Mīkāl whom I_betrothed to_me in/on/at/with_a_hundred foreskins of_Fəlishtiy.
15 And_sent Ish- bshet and_took_her from_with a_husband from_with Falţīʼēl/(Paltiel) the_son of_Layish[fn].
16 And_he/it_went with_her her/its_husband/man going and_weeping behind_her to Baḩurīm and_he/it_said to_him/it ʼAⱱnēr go return and_went_back.
17 And_conferred of_ʼAⱱnēr it_was with the_elders of_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) to_say both yesterday as_well_as [the]_third_day you_all_were seeking DOM Dāvid as_king over_you_all.
18 And_now act if/because YHWH he_has_spoken to Dāvid to_say in/on/at/with_hand of_Dāvid servant_my to_deliver DOM people_my Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) from_hand of_[the]_Fəlishtiy and_from_hand of_all enemies_their.
19 And_he/it_spoke also ʼAⱱnēr in/on/at/with_hearing of_Binyāmīn and_he/it_went also ʼAⱱnēr to_tell in/on/at/with_hearing of_Dāvid in/on/at/with_Ḩeⱱrōn DOM all that [was]_good in/on_both_eyes_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_in/on/at/with_eyes of_all the_house of_Binyāmīn.
20 And_came ʼAⱱnēr to Dāvid Ḩeⱱrōn and_with_him twenty men and_he/it_made Dāvid for_ʼAⱱnēr and_for_men who with_him/it a_feast.
21 And_he/it_said ʼAⱱnēr to Dāvid let_me_arise and_go and_gather to my_master the_king DOM all Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_make with_you a_covenant and_reign in/on/at/with_all that it_desires heart_your and_dismissed Dāvid DOM ʼAⱱnēr and_he/it_went in/on/at/with_peace.
22 And_see/lo/see the_servants of_Dāvid and_Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) [was]_coming from_the_raid and_spoil much with_them they_had_brought and_ʼAⱱnēr not_he [was]_with Dāvid in/on/at/with_Ḩeⱱrōn if/because dismissed_him and_he/it_went in/on/at/with_peace.
23 And_Yōʼāⱱ and_all the_army which with_him/it they_came and_told to_Yōʼāⱱ to_say he_came ʼAⱱnēr the_son of_Nēr to the_king and_he/it_sent_out/away_him/it and_he/it_went in/on/at/with_peace.
24 And_went Yōʼāⱱ to the_king and_he/it_said what have_you_done here he_came ʼAⱱnēr to_you to/for_what this dismiss_him and_he/it_went completely_(go).
25 You_know DOM ʼAⱱnēr the_son of_Nēr if/because_that to_deceive_you he_came and_to_learn DOM going_out_your and_DOM coming_in_your[fn] and_to_find_out DOM all that you [are]_doing.
26 And_he/it_went_out Yōʼāⱱ from_with Dāvid and_sent messengers after ʼAⱱnēr and_brought_back DOM_him/it from_well_of Sirah and_Dāvid not he_knew.
27 And_returned ʼAⱱnēr Ḩeⱱrōn and_took_aside_him Yōʼāⱱ into the_middle the_gate to_speak with_him/it in/on/at/with_private and_stabbed_him there the_stomach and_he/it_died in/on/at/with_blood of_Asah- el his/its_woman.
28 And_he/it_listened Dāvid from_afterwards thus and_he/it_said [am]_innocent I and_kingdom_my from_before YHWH until perpetuity concerning_blood of_ʼAⱱnēr the_son of_Nēr.
29 Let_them_whirl over the_head of_Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) and_near/to all the_house his/its_father and_never let_him_be_cut_off from_house of_Yōʼāⱱ [one_who]_suffers_a_discharge and_leprosy and_holds in/on/at/with_spindle and_falls in/on/at/with_sword and_lacks of_bread.
30 And_Yōʼāⱱ and_ʼAⱱīshay his/its_woman they_killed to_ʼAⱱnēr on that he_had_killed DOM ˊAsāhʼēl brother_their in/on/at/with_Giⱱˊōn in/on/at/with_battle.
31 and_he/it_said Dāvid to Yōʼāⱱ and_near/to all the_people which with_him/it tear clothes_your_all’s and_put_on sackcloth(s) and_mourn to_(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before ʼAⱱnēr and_the_king Dāvid [was]_walking after the_bier.
32 And_buried DOM ʼAⱱnēr in/on/at/with_Ḩeⱱrōn and_lifted_up[fn] the_king DOM voice_his and_wept to the_grave of_ʼAⱱnēr and_wept all the_people.
33 and_lamented the_king concerning ʼAⱱnēr and_said the_as_dies of_a_fool will_he_die ʼAⱱnēr.
34 Hands_your not [were]_bound and_feet_your not in_bronze_shackles they_were_brought_near as_falls to_(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before sons of_injustice you_have_fallen and_again all the_people to_wept on/upon/above_him/it.
35 And_came all the_people to_persuade_toeat DOM Dāvid bread in/on/at/with_still the_day and_swore Dāvid to_say thus may_he_do to/for_me god and_so may_he_add if/because if to_(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before goes the_sun I_will_taste bread or all anything.
36 And_all the_people they_paid_regard and_pleased in/on/at/with_eyes_them just_as_everything that he_did the_king in/on_both_eyes_of all the_people it_was_good.
37 And_they_knew all the_people and_all Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) in_the_day (the)_that if/because_that not it_was of_the_king to_killing DOM ʼAⱱnēr the_son of_Nēr.
38 and_he/it_said the_king to servants_his am_not do_you_all_know if/because_that a_leader and_great he_has_fallen the_day the_this in/on/at/with_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel).
39 And_I the_day [am]_weak and_anointed king and_the_men the_these the_sons of_Tsərūyāh/(Zeruiah) [are_too]_hard too_for_me may_he_repay YHWH for_does the_wickedly according_to_wickedness_his.
4 and_he/it_listened the_son of_Shāʼūl if/because_that he_had_died ʼAⱱnēr in/on/at/with_Ḩeⱱrōn and_they_fell hands_of_his and_all Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) they_were_terrified.
2 And_two men commanders of_marauding_bands they_were the_son of_Shāʼūl the_name the_one [was]_Baˊₐnāh and_name_of the_second [was]_Rēkāⱱ the_sons of_Rimmōn the_Bəʼērōtite from_(the)_sons of_Binyāmīn if/because also Bəʼērōt it_is_reckoned to Binyāmīn.
3 And_fled the_Bəʼērōtites Gittayim_to and_are there sojourning until the_day the_this.
4 and_had_Yōnātān/(Jonathan) the_son of_Shāʼūl a_son stricken of_feet a_son of_five years he_was in/on/at/with_came the_report of_Shāʼūl and_Yōnātān from_Yizrəˊēʼl/(Jezreel) and_picked_up_him nurse_his and_fled and_he/it_was in/on/at/with_haste_she to_flee and_fell and_became_lame and_his/its_name [was]_Mephibshet.
5 And_set_out the_sons of_Rimmōn the_Bəʼērōtite Rēkāⱱ and_Baˊₐnāh and_they_came in_heat the_day to the_house of_Ish- bshet and_he [was]_lying DOM the_lying the_noonday.
6 And_to_there they_came to the_middle the_house taking (of)_wheat(s) and_struck_him into the_stomach and_Rēkāⱱ and_Baˊₐnāh his/its_woman they_escaped.
7 And_they_came the_house and_he [was]_lying on bed_his in/on/at/with_room_of bed_of_his and_attacked_him and_killed_him and_removed DOM his/its_head and_they_took DOM his/its_head and_travelled the_way the_ˊₐrāⱱāh all the_night.
8 And_brought DOM the_head of_Ish- bshet to Dāvid Ḩeⱱrōn and_they_said to the_king here the_head of_Ish- bshet the_son of_Shāʼūl enemy_your who he_sought DOM life_your and_he/it_gave YHWH to_master_my the_king vengeance(s) the_day the_this on_Shāʼūl and_on_offspring_his.

2 And_he/it_said Dāvid I_will_do covenant_loyalty with Ḩānūn the_son of_Nāḩāsh just_as he_did his/its_father with_me covenant_loyalty and_sent Dāvid to_console_him in/on/at/with_hand servants_his concerning his/its_father and_they_came the_servants of_Dāvid the_land of_the_people of_ˊAmmōn.
3 And_they_said the_leaders of_the_people of_ˊAmmōn to Ḩānūn master_their the_honouring [is]_Dāvid DOM I_will_show_you(ms) in/on/at/with_opinion_you (cmp) he_has_sent to/for_yourself(m) comforters am_not in_account_of to_explore DOM the_city and_to_spy_out_it and_to_overthrow_it has_he_sent Dāvid DOM servants_his to_you.
4 And_he/it_took Ḩānūn DOM the_servants of_Dāvid and_shaved_off DOM (the)_half beards_their and_cut_off DOM garments_their in/on/at/with_middle to hips_their and_sent_away_them.
5 And_told to_Dāvid and_sent to_meet_them if/because they_were the_men humiliated exceedingly and_he/it_said the_king remain in/on/at/with_Yərīḩō/(Jericho) until it_will_grow_back beards_your_all’s and_return.
6 And_they_saw the_people of_ˊAmmōn if/because_that they_had_made_themselves_odious in/on/at/with_Dāvid and_sent the_people of_ˊAmmōn and_hired DOM ʼArām Bēyt Rəḩoⱱ and_DOM ʼArām Tsōⱱāʼ/(Zobah) twenty thousand foot_soldier[s] and_DOM the_king of_Maˊₐkāh one_thousand man and_men of_Ţōⱱ two_plus ten thousand man.
7 And_he/it_listened Dāvid and_sent DOM Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) and_DOM all the_army the_powerful/mighty(pl).
8 And_they_went_out the_people of_ˊAmmōn and_drew_up battle the_entrance the_gate and_ʼArām_of Tsōⱱāʼ and_Rəḩoⱱ and_men of_Ţōⱱ and_Maˊₐkāh by_themselves in/on/at/with_field.
9 And_he/it_saw Yōʼāⱱ if/because_that it_was to_him/it the_face the_battle in_front and_in_rear and_chose from_all the_chosen_[men] in/on/at/with[fn] and_arrayed to_engage ʼArām.
10 And_DOM the_rest the_men he_gave in/on/at/with_command of_ʼAⱱīshay his/its_woman and_arrayed to_engage the_people of_ˊAmmōn.
11 And_he/it_said if it_will_be_[too]_strong ʼArām too_for_me and_be to/for_me to_help and_if the_people of_ˊAmmōn they_will_be_[too]_strong too_for_you and_come to_help to/for_you(fs).
12 Be_strong and_courageous for people_our and_for the_cities god_our and_YHWH he_will_do the_good in/on/at/with_sight_his.
13 And_moved_forward Yōʼāⱱ and_the_people which with_him/it to_the_battle in/on/at/with_ʼArām and_fled from_before_him.
14 And_the_sons of_ˊAmmōn they_saw if/because_that it_had_fled ʼArām and_fled from_face/in_front_of ʼAⱱīshay and_they_came the_city and_returned Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) from_under the_people of_ˊAmmōn and_came Yərūshālayim/(Jerusalem).
15 And_he/it_saw ʼArām if/because_that it_had_been_defeated to_(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_gathered together.
16 And_sent Hₐdadˊezer and_brought_out DOM ʼArām which at_beyond the_river and_they_came Ḩēylām and_Shōⱱāk the_commander of_the_army of_Hₐdadˊezer at_head_them.
17 And_told to_Dāvid and_gathered DOM all Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_he/it_passed_through DOM the_Yardēn/(Jordan) and_came Ḩēylām_to and_arrayed ʼArām to_meet Dāvid and_fought with_him/it.
18 And_fled ʼArām from_face/in_front_of Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_killed Dāvid of_ʼArām seven hundred(s) charioteer[s] and_forty thousand horsemen and_DOM Shōⱱāk the_commander army_their he_struck_down and_he/it_died there.
19 And_they_saw all the_kings the_servants of_Hₐdadˊezer if/because_that they_had_been_defeated to_(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_made_peace with Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_became_subject_to_them and_they_saw ʼArām to_help again DOM the_people of_ˊAmmōn.
11 and_he/it_was in_spring the_year at_time go_out the_kings[fn] and_sent Dāvid DOM Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) and_DOM servants_his with_him/it and_DOM all Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_destroyed DOM the_people of_ˊAmmōn and_besieged on Rabāh and_Dāvid [was]_remaining in/on/at/with_Yərūshālayim/(Jerusalem).
2 and_he/it_was at_time_of the_evening and_he/it_rose_up Dāvid from_under bed_his and_he/it_walked/wandered on the_roof of_the_house the_king and_he/it_saw a_woman bathing from_under the_roof and_the_woman [was]_good of_appearance very.
3 And_sent Dāvid and_inquired to/for_the_woman/wife and_he/it_said am_not [is]_this Bath- sheba the_daughter of_ʼElīˊām the_wife of_ʼŪriyyāh the_Ḩittiy.
4 And_sent Dāvid messengers and_get_her and_came to_him/it and_slept with_her/it[fn] and_she [was]_purifying_herself from_uncleanness_her and_returned to house_her.
5 And_she/it_conceived/became_pregnant the_woman and_sent and_told to_Dāvid and_she/it_said [am]_pregnant I.
6 And_sent Dāvid to Yōʼāⱱ send to_me DOM ʼŪriyyāh the_Ḩittiy and_sent Yōʼāⱱ DOM ʼŪriyyāh to Dāvid.
7 And_came ʼŪriyyāh to_him/it and_asked Dāvid concerning_welfare of_Yōʼāⱱ and_about_fared the_people and_about_welfare_of the_war.
8 And_he/it_said Dāvid to_ʼŪriyyāh[fn] go_down to_house_your and_wash feet_your and_he/it_went_out ʼŪriyyāh of_house the_king and_went_out after_him the_present the_king.
9 And_slept ʼŪriyyāh the_entrance of_the_house the_king with all the_servants master_his and_not he_went_down to house_his.
10 And_told to_Dāvid to_say not he_has_gone_down ʼŪriyyāh to house_his and_he/it_said Dāvid to ʼŪriyyāh am_not from_journey [are]_you coming why not have_you_gone_down to house_your.
11 And_he/it_said ʼŪriyyāh to Dāvid the_ark and_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_Yihudah [are]_dwelling in/on/at/with_booths and_master_my Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) and_servants my_master on the_face the_field [are]_encamping and_I will_I_go to house_my to_eat and_to_drink and_to_lie with wife_my live_you and_life soul_your if I_will_do DOM the_thing the_this.
12 And_he/it_said Dāvid to ʼŪriyyāh remain in/on/at/with_here also the_day and_tomorrow send_back_you and_he/it_sat_down//remained//lived ʼŪriyyāh in/on/at/with_Yərūshālayim/(Jerusalem) in_the_day (the)_that and_on_next.
13 And_he/it_called to_him/it Dāvid and_ate in_presence_him and_drank and_drunk_him and_he/it_went_out in/on/at/with_evening to_lie in/on/at/with_bed_his with the_servants master_his and_near/to house_his not he_went_down.
14 And_he/it_was in/on/at/with_morning and_wrote Dāvid a_letter to Yōʼāⱱ and_sent in/on/at/with_hand of_ʼŪriyyāh.
15 And_wrote in/on/at/with_letter to_say set DOM ʼŪriyyāh to the_front of_the_face the_fighting the_fiercest and_withdraw from_behind_him and_struck_down and_die.
16 and_he/it_was in/on/at/with_besieging Yōʼāⱱ against the_city and_he/it_gave DOM ʼŪriyyāh to the_place where he_knew if/because_that men of_strength [were]_there.
17 And_they_went_out the_men the_city and_fought with Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) and_fell some_of the_people some_of_servants of_Dāvid and_he/it_died also ʼŪriyyāh the_Ḩittiy.
18 And_sent Yōʼāⱱ and_told to_Dāvid DOM all the_matters the_battle.
19 And_he/it_commanded DOM the_messenger to_say when_finished_you DOM all the_matters the_battle to_telling to the_king.
20 And_it_was if it_will_rise the_anger the_king and_saying(ms) to/for_yourself(m) why did_you_all_draw_near to the_city to_fight am_not did_you_all_know DOM how they_will_shoot from_under the_wall.
21 Who did_he_strike_down DOM ʼAⱱīmelek the_son of_Jerub-Besheth am_not a_woman did_she_throw on/upon/above_him/it a_mill-stone of_an_upper_mill-stone from_under the_wall and_he/it_died in/on/at/with_Tēⱱēʦ to/for_what did_you_all_draw_near to the_wall and_say also servant_your ʼŪriyyāh the_Ḩittiy he_has_died.
22 And_he/it_went the_messenger and_came and_told to_Dāvid DOM all that sent_him Yōʼāⱱ.
23 And_he/it_said the_messenger to Dāvid if/because they_prevailed over_us the_men and_they_went_out against_us the_field and_we_were upon_them to the_entrance the_gate.
24 And_shot[fn] the_archers[fn] to servants_your from_under the_wall and_died some_of_servants the_king and_also servant_your ʼŪriyyāh the_Ḩittiy he_has_died.
25 and_he/it_said Dāvid to the_messenger thus you_will_say to Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) not let_it_be_displeasing in/on/at/with_eyes_of_you DOM the_matter the_this if/because as_well_as_another and_so_one it_devours the_sword strengthen attack_your against the_city and_overthrow_it and_encourage_him.
26 And_heard the_wife of_ʼŪriyyāh if/because_that he_had_died ʼŪriyyāh her/its_husband/man and_mourned on husband_her.
27 And_he/it_passed_through the_time_of_mourning and_sent Dāvid and_brought_her to house_his and_it_became to_him/it to/for_(a)_woman and_she/it_gave_birth to_him/it a_son and_displeased the_thing which he_had_done Dāvid in/on_both_eyes_of YHWH.
12 and_sent YHWH DOM Nātān to Dāvid and_came to_him/it and_he/it_said to_him/it two men they_were in/on/at/with_city one one [was]_rich and_the_other [was]_poor.
2 Had_rich it_belonged flock[s] and_herds many very.
3 And_had_the_poor there_[belonged]_not anything if/because (if) a_ewe-lamb one small which he_had_acquired and_raised_it and_grew_up with_him/it and_with children_his together of_food_his it_ate and_from_cup_his it_drank and_in/on/at/with_arms_his it_lay_down and_it_became to_him/it like_daughter.
4 And_came a_visitor to_man the_rich and_unwilling to_take/accept/receive one_of_flock_his_own and_from_herd_his for_doing for_the_traveler the_come to_him/it and_he/it_took DOM the_ewe-lamb the_man the_poor and_prepared_it for_the_man the_come to_him/it.
5 And_it_glowed/burned the_anger of_Dāvid in/on/at/with_man exceedingly and_he/it_said to Nātān [by]_the_life of_YHWH if/because [is]_a_son of_death the_man the_done this.
6 And_DOM the_lamb he_will_restore fourfold consequence that he_did DOM the_thing the_this and_because that not he_showed_pity.
7 And_he/it_said Nātān to Dāvid you the_man thus he_says YHWH the_god of_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) I anointed_you as_king over Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_I delivered_you from_hand of_Shāʼūl.
8 And_gave to/for_yourself(m) DOM the_house master’s_your and_DOM the_wives master’s_your in/on/at/with_arms_your and_gave to/for_yourself(m) DOM the_house of_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_Yihudah and_if little and_added to_you as_these and_as_those.
9 Why have_you_despised DOM the_word of_YHWH for_doing the_evil in/on/at/with_sight_I[fn] DOM ʼŪriyyāh the_Ḩittiy you_struck_down in/on/at/with_sword and_DOM his/its_wife/woman you_took to_yourself to/for_(a)_woman and_DOM_him you_killed in/on/at/with_sword of_the_people of_ˊAmmōn.
10 And_now not it_will_depart [the]_sword from_house_your until perpetuity consequence if/because despised_me and_she/it_took DOM the_wife of_ʼŪriyyāh the_Ḩittiy to_be to/for_yourself(m) to/for_(a)_woman.
11 thus he_says YHWH see_I [am]_about_to_raise_up against_you calamity from_house_your_own and_take DOM wives_your before_eyes_your and_give to_neighbor_your and_lie with wives_your in_sight the_broad_daylight the_this.
12 If/because you you_acted in/on/at/with_secret and_I I_will_do DOM the_thing the_this before all Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_before the_broad_daylight.
13 and_he/it_said Dāvid to Nātān I_have_sinned to/for_YHWH and_he/it_said Nātān to Dāvid also YHWH he_has_taken_away sin_your not you_will_die.
14 Nevertheless if/because indeed_(declare_contemptible) you_have_declared_contemptible DOM the_enemies of_YHWH in/on/at/with_deed the_this also the_son the_born to/for_yourself(m) surely_(die) he_will_die.
15 And_he/it_went Nātān to house_his and_struck YHWH DOM the_child whom she_had_borne the_wife of_ʼŪriyyāh to_Dāvid and_ill.
16 And_he/it_sought Dāvid DOM the_ʼElohīm for the_child and_he_fasted Dāvid a_fast and_went and_lay_all_night and_lay ground_on.
17 And_stood the_elders household_his on/upon/above_him/it to_get_up_him from the_earth/land and_not he_was_willing and_not he_ate with_them food.
18 And_he/it_was in_the_day the_seventh and_he/it_died the_child and_they_saw the_servants of_Dāvid to_announce to_him/it if/because_that he_had_died the_child if/because they_said here in/on/at/with_was the_child alive we_spoke to_him/it and_not he_listened in/on/at/with_voice_us and_how will_we_say to_him/it he_has_died the_child and_do harm.
19 And_he/it_saw Dāvid if/because_that servants_his [were]_whispering_to_one_another and_perceived Dāvid if/because_that he_had_died the_child and_he/it_said Dāvid to servants_his dead the_child and_they_said he_has_died.
20 And_he/it_rose_up Dāvid from_the_ground and_washed and_anointed and_changed clothes_his[fn] and_went_into the_house of_YHWH and_worshiped and_went to house_his_own and_asked and_served to_him/it food and_he/it_ate.
21 And_they_said servants_his to_him/it what the_thing the_this which you_have_done in_account_of the_child [was]_alive you_fasted and_wept and_just_as_that he_died the_child you_arose and_she/it_ate food.
22 And_he/it_said in/on/at/with_still the_child [was]_alive I_fasted and_wept if/because I_said who [is]_knowing now_gracious[fn] YHWH and_live the_child.
23 And_now he_has_died to/for_what this [am]_I fasting can to_bring_back_him again I [will_be]_going to_him/it and_he not he_will_return to_me.
24 And_comforted Dāvid DOM Bath- sheba his/its_wife/woman and_went to_her/it and_lay with_her/it and_she/it_gave_birth a_son and_called[fn] DOM his/its_name Shəlomoh and_LORD loved_him.
25 And_sent in/on/at/with_hand of_Nātān the_prophet and_he/it_called DOM his/its_name Yədīdəyāh/(Jedidiah) in_account_of YHWH.
26 and_fought Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) in/on/at/with_Rabāh of_the_people of_ˊAmmōn and_captured DOM the_city the_royalty.
27 And_sent Yōʼāⱱ messengers to Dāvid and_he/it_said I_have_fought in/on/at/with_Rabāh also I_have_captured DOM the_city the_waters.
28 And_now gather DOM the_rest the_people and_encamp on the_city and_capture_it lest I_should_take I DOM the_city and_called name_me over_it.
29 And_gathered Dāvid DOM all the_people and_he/it_went Rabāh_to and_fought in/on/at/with_it and_captured_it.
30 And_he/it_took DOM the_crown king_their from_under his/its_head and_weight_its [was]_a_talent of_gold and_stone_of precious and_it_became on the_head of_Dāvid and_plunder the_city he_brought_out much very.
31 And_DOM the_people which in/on/at/with_it he_brought_out and_he/it_assigned in/on/at/with_saws and_in/on/at/with_picks the_iron and_in/on/at/with_axes the_iron and_sent DOM_them in/on/at/with_brickmaking[fn] and_thus/so/as_follows he_did to_all/each/any/every the_cities of_the_people of_ˊAmmōn and_returned Dāvid and_all the_people Yərūshālayim/(Jerusalem).
13 and_he/it_was after thus and_had_ʼAⱱīshālōm the_son of_Dāvid a_sister a_beautiful and_name_whose [was]_Tāmār and_fell_in_love_her ʼAmnōn the_son of_Dāvid.
2 And_frustrated to_ʼAmnōn that_made_ill in/on/at/with_an_account_of Tāmār sister_his if/because [was]_a_virgin she and_impossible in/on_both_eyes_of ʼAmnōn for_doing to/for_her/it anything.
3 And_had_ʼAmnōn a_friend and_his/its_name [was]_Yōnādāⱱ/(Jonadab) the_son of_Shimˊāh the_brother of_Dāvid and_Yōnādāⱱ [was]_a_man shrewd very.
4 And_he/it_said to_him/it why [are]_you thus weak Oh_son the_king in/on/at/with_morning in/on/at/with_morning am_not will_you_tell to_me and_he/it_said to_him/it ʼAmnōn DOM Tāmār the_sister of_ʼAⱱīshālōm my_brother/kindred I [am]_loving.
5 And_he/it_said to_him/it Yōnādāⱱ lie_down on bed_your and_pretend_to_be_ill and_comes I_will_show_you(ms) to_see_you and_say to_him/it let_her_come please Tāmār sister_my and_give_toeat_me food and_prepare in_sight_my DOM the_food so_that that I_may_see and_eat from_hand_her.
6 And_lay_down ʼAmnōn and_pretended_to_be_ill and_came the_king to_see_him and_he/it_said ʼAmnōn to the_king let_her_come please Tāmār sister_my and_let_her_make_bread in_sight_my two cakes and_eat from_hand_her.
7 And_sent Dāvid to Tāmār the_palace_at to_say go please the_house of_ʼAmnōn brother_your and_prepare to_him/it the_food.
8 And_went Tāmār the_house of_ʼAmnōn brother_her and_he [was]_lying_down and_she/it_took DOM the_dough and[fn] and_made_cakes in_sight_his and_baked DOM the_cakes.
9 And_she/it_took DOM the_pan and_set_out in_front_him and_refused to_eat and_he/it_said ʼAmnōn send_out every person from_with_me and_they_went_out every person from_with_him.
10 And_he/it_said ʼAmnōn to Tāmār bring the_food the_bedroom and_eat from_hand_your and_she/it_took Tāmār DOM the_cakes which she_had_made and_brought to_ʼAmnōn brother_her the_bedroom_into.
11 And_brought to_him/it to_eat and_took_hold in/on/at/with_her and_he/it_said to/for_her/it come lie with_me sister_my.
12 And_she/it_said to_him/it no my_brother/kindred do_not force_me if/because not it_will_be_done thus in/on/at/with_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) do_not do DOM the_disgraceful_thing the_this.
13 And_me where will_I_bring DOM disgrace_my and_you(ms) you_will_be like_one the_fools in/on/at/with_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_now speak please to the_king if/because not withhold_me from_you.
14 And_not he_was_willing to_listen in/on/at/with_voice_her and_stronger from_her/it and_forced_her and_lay_with DOM_her/it.
15 And_hated_her ʼAmnōn hatred great very if/because [was]_great the_hatred which hated_her than_love which loved_her and_said to/for_her/it ʼAmnōn get_up go.
16 And_she/it_said to_him/it no the_causes the_wrong the_greater the_this than_the_other which you_have_done to_me in_sending_away_me and_not he_was_willing to_listen to/for_her/it.
17 And_he/it_called DOM young_man_his served_him and_he/it_said send_away please DOM this_[woman] from_with_my the_out_to and_bolt the_door behind_her.
18 And_on_she a_long_garment of_palms_and_soles if/because thus they_wore the_daughters the_king the_virgin robes and_put_out DOM_her servant_his the_outside and_bolted the_door behind_her.
19 And_she/it_took Tāmār ash[es] on head_her and_robe the_long-sleeved which on/upon_it(f) she_tore and_put hand_her on head_her and_went_away surely_(go) and_crying_aloud.
20 And_he/it_said to_her/it ʼAⱱīshālōm brother_her ʼAmnōn brother_your has_he_been with_you and_now sister_my keep_silent brother_your he do_not set DOM heart_you to_the_word/thing/matter the_this and_remained Tāmār and_desolate the_house of_ʼAⱱīshālōm brother_her.
21 And_the_king Dāvid he_heard DOM all the_things the_these and_it_glowed/burned to_him/it exceedingly.
22 And_not he_spoke ʼAⱱīshālōm with ʼAmnōn to_either_bad and_unto good if/because he_hated ʼAⱱīshālōm DOM ʼAmnōn on the_thing (of)_that he_had_humbled DOM Tāmār sister_his.
23 and_he/it_was after_years days and_they_were shearers for_ʼAⱱīshālōm in/on/at/with_Baˊal- hazor which [is]_near ʼEfrayim and_he/it_called ʼAⱱīshālōm to/from_all/each/any/every the_sons the_king’s.
24 And_went ʼAⱱīshālōm to the_king and_he/it_said here please shearers has_servant_your let_him_go please the_king and_servants_his with servant_your.
25 And_he/it_said the_king to ʼAⱱīshālōm no son_my not please let_us_go all_us and_not we_will_be_heavy to_you and_urged in/on/over_him/it and_not he_was_willing to_go and_gave_blessing_him.
26 And_he/it_said ʼAⱱīshālōm and_not let_him_go please with_us ʼAmnōn my_brother/kindred and_he/it_said to_him/it the_king to/for_what will_he_go with_you.
27 And_urged in/on/over_him/it ʼAⱱīshālōm and_sent with_him/it DOM ʼAmnōn and_DOM all the_sons the_king’s.
28 and_he/it_commanded ʼAⱱīshālōm DOM servants_his to_say look please when_merry the_heart of_ʼAmnōn in/on/at/with_wine and_say to_you_all strike_down DOM ʼAmnōn and_kill DOM_him/it do_not be_afraid am_not (cmp) I I_have_commanded DOM_you_all be_strong and_be as_sons_of of_strength.
29 And_did the_servants of_ʼAⱱīshālōm to_ʼAmnōn just_as he_had_commanded ʼAⱱīshālōm and_got_up all the_sons the_king and_mounted each on mule_his and_fled.
30 And_he/it_was they in/on/at/with_way and_the_report it_came to Dāvid to_say he_has_struck_down ʼAⱱīshālōm DOM all the_sons the_king and_not he_is_left from_them one.
31 and_he/it_rose_up the_king and_tore DOM clothes_his and_lay ground_on and_all servants_his [were]_standing torn of_garments.
32 and_spoke_up Yōnādāⱱ/(Jonadab) the_son of_Shimˊāh the_brother of_Dāvid and_he/it_said not let_him_say my_master DOM all the_young_men the_sons the_king they_have_killed if/because ʼAmnōn for_him/it_being_alone he_has_died if/because on the_mouth of_ʼAⱱīshālōm it_has_been determined from_day raped_he DOM Tāmār sister_his.
33 And_now not let_him_set my_master the_king to his/its_heart a_word to_say all the_sons the_king they_have_died if/because (if) ʼAmnōn for_him/it_being_alone he_has_died.
34 and_fled ʼAⱱīshālōm and_lifted_up the_young_man the_standing_watch DOM eyes_his[fn] and_he/it_saw and_see/lo/see a_people numerous [were]_coming from_road behind_him by_side the_mountain.
35 And_he/it_said Yōnādāⱱ to the_king there the_sons the_king they_have_come according_to_said servant_your so it_has_happened.
36 And_he/it_was as_soon_as_finished_he to_speaking and_see/lo/see the_sons the_king they_came and_lifted_up voices_their and_wept and_also the_king and_all servants_his they_wept a_weeping a_great very.

38 And_ʼAⱱīshālōm he_fled and_he/it_went Gəshūr and_he/it_was there three years.
39 And_longed Dāvid the_king to_go_out against ʼAⱱīshālōm if/because he_was_comforted on ʼAmnōn if/because he_had_died.
14 and_he/it_knew Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) the_son of_Tsərūyāh/(Zeruiah) if/because_that the_heart the_king [was]_towards ʼAⱱīshālōm.
2 And_sent Yōʼāⱱ Təqōˊī_to and_he/it_took from_there a_woman wise and_he/it_said to_her/it play_the_mourner please and_put_on please garments of_mourning and_not anoint_yourself oil and_act like_woman this days many [who_has_been]_mourning on a_dead_[person].
3 And_go to the_king and_speak to_him/it as_the_words the_this and_he/it_assigned Yōʼāⱱ DOM the_words in/on/at/with_mouth_her.
4 And_she/it_said the_woman the_Təqōˊī to the_king and_fell on face_her towards_land and_paid_homage and_she/it_said help the_king.
5 and_he/it_said to/for_her/it the_king what to_you and_she/it_said indeed [am]_a_woman a_widow I and_he/it_died husband_my.
6 And_had_servant_your two sons and_fought both_of_them in_the_field and_no a_deliverer between_them and_struck_him the_one DOM the_one and_killed DOM_him/it.
7 And_see/lo/see it_has_risen_up all the_family on servant_your and_they_said deliver_up DOM the_[one_who]_struck_down his/its_woman and_put_todeath_him in/on/at/with_life his/its_woman whom he_killed and_destroy also DOM the_heir and_put_out DOM ember_my which it_is_left to_not to_establish[fn] to_husband_my a_name and_remnant on the_surface the_soil.
8 and_he/it_said the_king to the_woman go to_house_your and_I I_will_command concerning_you.
9 And_she/it_said the_woman the_Təqōˊī to the_king on_me my_master the_king the_guilt and_on the_house father’s_my and_the_king and_throne_his [be]_innocent.
10 and_he/it_said the_king the_says to_you and_bring_him to_me and_not he_will_repeat again to_touch on/over_you(fs).
11 And_she/it_said let_him_remember please the_king DOM YHWH god_your no_increase[fn] the_avenger the_blood to_kill and_not they_will_destroy DOM son_my and_he/it_said [by]_the_life of_YHWH if it_will_fall from_hair son_your ground_to.
12 And_she/it_said the_woman let_her_speak please servant_your to my_master the_king a_word and_he/it_said speak.
13 and_she/it_said the_woman and_for_what have_you_planned like_this on the_people of_god and_in_speaking the_king the_word the_this as_guilty to_not to_bring_back the_king DOM banished_his.
14 If/because certainly_(die) we_will_die and_like_the_water the_spilled towards_land which not they_will_be_gathered and_not he_takes_away god life and_devises plans to_not he_will_be_throw_out from_him/it a_banished_[one].
15 And_now when I_have_come to_say to the_king my_master DOM the_word the_this if/because afraid_me the_people and_she/it_said servant_your let_me_speak please to the_king perhaps he_will_do the_king DOM the_word servant_his.
16 If/because he_will_hear the_king to_deliver DOM servant_his from_hand the_man to_destroy DOM_me and_DOM son_my together from_inheritance of_god.
17 And_she/it_said servant_your may_it_become please the_word my_master the_king at_rest if/because like_messenger the_ʼElohīm [is]_so my_master the_king to_discern the_good and_the_evil and_YHWH god_your may_he_be with_you.
18 and_answered the_king and_he/it_said to the_woman do_not please hide from_me anything which I [am]_asking DOM_you and_she/it_said the_woman let_him_speak please my_master the_king.
19 And_he/it_said the_king hand of_Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) with_you in_all this and_answered the_woman and_she/it_said [by]_the_life soul_your my_master the_king if there_is to_turn_to_the_right and_to_left from_all that he_has_spoken my_master the_king if/because servant_your Yōʼāⱱ he commanded_me and_he he_put in/on/at/with_mouth servant_your DOM all the_words the_these.

22 And_fell Yōʼāⱱ to his/its_faces/face towards_land and_did_obeisance and_he/it_blessed DOM the_king and_he/it_said Yōʼāⱱ the_day he_knows servant_your if/because_that I_have_found favour in/on/at/with_sight_your my_master the_king that he_has_done the_king DOM the_word servant_your[fn].
23 And_he/it_rose_up Yōʼāⱱ and_he/it_went Gəshūr_to and_he/it_brought DOM ʼAⱱīshālōm Yərūshālayim/(Jerusalem).
24 and_he/it_said the_king he_will_turn to house_his_own and_face_my not he_will_see and_went ʼAⱱīshālōm to house_his_own and_face the_king not he_saw.
25 and_as_ʼAⱱīshālōm not he_was a_man handsome in_all Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) to_praised exceedingly from_sole foot_his and_unto crown_of_head_his not it_was in_him/it a_blemish.
26 And_in/on/at/with_cut_the_hair_he DOM his/its_head and_it_was from_the_end/extremity[fn] of_days to_the_time when he_shaved if/because [it_was]_heavy on/upon/above_him/it and_cut_it and_weigh DOM the_hair his/its_head two_hundred shekels in/on/at/with_weight the_king’s.
27 And_they_were_born to_ʼAⱱīshālōm three sons and_daughter one and_name_whose [was]_Tāmār she she_was a_woman beautiful of_appearance.
28 and_he/it_sat_down//remained//lived ʼAⱱīshālōm in/on/at/with_Yərūshālayim two_years days and_face the_king not he_saw.
29 And_sent ʼAⱱīshālōm to Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) to_send DOM_him/it to the_king and_not he_was_willing to_come to_him/it and_sent again a_second_[time] and_not he_was_willing to_come.
30 And_he/it_said to servants_his see the_portion_of_land of_Yōʼāⱱ [is]_to hand_of_mine and_to/for_him/it there barley(s) go and_set_on_fire_it[fn] in/on/at/with_fire and_they_set_on_fire the_servants of_ʼAⱱīshālōm DOM the_field in/on/at/with_fire.
31 and_he/it_rose_up Yōʼāⱱ and_went to ʼAⱱīshālōm the_house_at and_he/it_said to_him/it to/for_what have_they_set_on_fire servants_your DOM the_field which to_me in/on/at/with_fire.
32 And_he/it_said ʼAⱱīshālōm to Yōʼāⱱ here I_sent to_you to_say come here and_send DOM_you[fn] to the_king to_say to/for_what have_I_come from_Gəshūr [was]_good to_me still I [was]_there and_now let_me_see the_face the_king and_if there_[is] in/on/at/with_me iniquity and_kill_me.
33 And_went Yōʼāⱱ to the_king and_told to_him/it and_he/it_called (to) ʼAⱱīshālōm and_came to the_king and_bowed_down to_him/it on face_his towards_land to_(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before the_king and_kissed the_king on_ʼAⱱīshālōm.
15 and_he/it_was at_after thus and_he/it_made to_him/it ʼAⱱīshālōm a_chariot and_horses and_fifty man [who]_ran to/for_ahead_him.
2 And_rise_early ʼAⱱīshālōm and_stand at the_side of_the_road the_gate and_he/it_was every the_man whom it_belonged for_him/it a_case_at_law to_bring to the_king for_the_judgement and_he/it_called ʼAⱱīshālōm to_him/it and_he/it_said where from_there city [are]_you and_he/it_said from_one of_the_tribes of_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) servant_your.
3 And_he/it_said to_him/it ʼAⱱīshālōm see claims_your [are]_good and_right and_hear there_[is]_not to/for_yourself(m) from the_king.
4 And_he/it_said ʼAⱱīshālōm who appoint_me a_judge on_the_earth and_to_me he_will_come every person whom it_belongs for_him/it a_case_at_law and_cause and_give_justice_him.
5 And_it_was in/on/at/with_came_near anyone to_pay_homage to_him/it and_put_out DOM his/its_hand and_take_hold to_him/it and_kiss to_him/it.
6 And_he/it_made ʼAⱱīshālōm in_the_way the_this to/from_all/each/any/every Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) who they_came for_the_judgement to the_king and_stole ʼAⱱīshālōm DOM the_heart of_the_men of_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel).
7 and_he/it_was from_the_end/extremity of_forty year[s] and_he/it_said ʼAⱱīshālōm to the_king let_me_go please and_pay DOM vow_my which I_vowed to/for_YHWH in/on/at/with_Ḩeⱱrōn.
8 If/because a_vow he_vowed servant_your in/on/at/with_lived_I in/on/at/with_Gəshūr in/on/at/with_ʼArām to_say if indeed_(dwell)[fn] bring_back_me YHWH Yərūshālayim/(Jerusalem) and_worship DOM YHWH.
9 And_he/it_said to_him/it the_king go in/on/at/with_peace and_he/it_rose_up and_he/it_went Ḩeⱱrōn_to.
10 and_sent ʼAⱱīshālōm spies in_all the_tribes of_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) to_say as_soon_as_hear_you_all DOM the_sound the_trumpet and_say he_has_become_king ʼAⱱīshālōm in/on/at/with_Ḩeⱱrōn.
11 And_DOM ʼAⱱīshālōm they_went two_hundred man from_Yərūshālayim [who_had_been]_invited and_went in_innocence_their and_not they_knew any thing.
12 And_sent ʼAⱱīshālōm DOM ʼAḩītofel the_Gilonī the_counselor of_Dāvid from_city_his of_Giloh in/on/at/with_offering_he DOM the_sacrifices and_he/it_was the_conspiracy strong and_the_people [was]_going and_increase with ʼAⱱīshālōm.
13 And_came the_messenger to Dāvid to_say it_is the_heart of_the_man of_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) after ʼAⱱīshālōm.
14 And_he/it_said Dāvid to/from_all/each/any/every servants_his who with_him/it in/on/at/with_Yərūshālayim arise and_flee if/because not it_will_belong to/for_ourselves an_escape from_face/in_front_of ʼAⱱīshālōm hurry to_go lest he_should_hurry and_overtake_us and_bring on_us DOM the_disaster and_strike the_city with_edge of_[the]_sword.

16 And_he/it_went_out the_king and_all household_his in/on/at/with_feet_of_him and_left_behind the_king DOM ten women concubines to_guard/protect the_house.
17 And_he/it_went_out the_king and_all the_people in/on/at/with_feet_of_him and_stopped the_house the_distance.
18 And_all servants_his [were]_passing_by at his/its_hand and_all the_Kərētī and_all the_Fəlētī and_all the wwww hundreds (a)_man which/who they_went in/on/at/with from wwww on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in face/surface_of the.
19 And_he/it_said the_king to ʼIttay the_Gittiy to/for_what will_you_go also you with_us return and_stay with the_king if/because [are]_a_foreigner you and_also [are]_an_exile you from_homeland_your.
20 [was]_yesterday came_you and_the_day wander_you[fn] with_us to_go and_I [am]_going to where I [am]_going return and_take DOM brothers_your with_you covenant_loyalty and_faithfulness.
21 And_answered ʼIttay DOM the_king and_said [by]_the_life of_YHWH and_lives my_master the_king if/because (if) in/on/at/with_place (of)_where he_will_be there my_master the_king whether for_death or for_life if/because there he_will_be servant_your.
22 And_he/it_said Dāvid to ʼIttay come and_march_on and_marched_on ʼIttay the_Gittiy and_all men_his and_all the_little_ones who with_him/it.
23 And_all the_earth/land [were]_weeping a_voice great and_all the_people [were]_passing_by and_the_king [was]_passing in/on/at/with_wadi of_Qidrōn and_all the_people [were]_passing_on on the_face of_the_road DOM the_wilderness.
24 And_see/lo/see also Tsādōq/(Zadok) and_all the_Lēviyyiy with_him/it [they_were]_carrying DOM the_ark of_the_covenant the_ʼElohīm and_set_down DOM the_ark the_ʼElohīm and_he/it_ascended ʼEⱱyātār until was_finished all the_people to_passed from the_city.
25 And_he/it_said the_king to_Tsādōq take_back DOM the_ark the_ʼElohīm the_city if I_will_find favour in/on_both_eyes_of YHWH and_bring_back_me and_see_me DOM_him/it and_DOM dwelling_place_his.
26 And_if thus he_will_say not I_delight on/over_you(fs) see_I let_him_do to/for_me just_as [is]_good in/on/at/with_eyes_him.
27 and_he/it_said the_king to Tsādōq the_priest/officer seer [are]_you return the_city in/on/at/with_peace and_ʼAḩīmaˊaʦ son_your and_Yōnātān/(Jonathan) the_son of_ʼEⱱyātār the_two sons_your_all’s with_you_all.
28 See I [will_be]_delaying in/on/at/with_fords[fn] the_wilderness until comes word from_with_you_all to_announce to_me.
29 And_returned Tsādōq and_ʼEⱱyātār DOM the_ark the_ʼElohīm Yərūshālayim/(Jerusalem) and_they_lived there.
30 And_Dāvid [was]_going_up in/on/at/with_mount the_olives going_up and_weeping and_head to_him/it [was]_covered and_he [was]_walking barefoot and_all the_people which with_him/it they_covered each his/its_head and_went_up going_up and_weeping.
31 And_Dāvid someone_told to_say ʼAḩītofel in/on/at/with_conspirators with ʼAⱱīshālōm and_he/it_said Dāvid make_foolish please DOM the_counsel of_ʼAḩītofel Oh_YHWH.

36 There there with_them the_two sons_their ʼAḩīmaˊaʦ of_Tsādōq and_Yōnātān/(Jonathan) of_ʼEⱱyātār and_send in/on/at/with_means_them to_me every word which you_all_will_hear.
37 And_came_into Ḩūshay the_friend of_Dāvid the_city and_ʼAⱱīshālōm he_came Yərūshālayim/(Jerusalem).
16 And_Dāvid he_passed_on a_little beyond_the_summit and_see/lo/see Tsīⱱāʼ/(Ziba) the_servant of_Mephi- bshet to_meet_him and_couple of_donkeys saddled and_on_them two_hundred bread[s] and_a_hundred bunches_of_raisins and_a_hundred summer_fruit and_skin of_wine.
2 And_he/it_said the_king to Tsīⱱāʼ what [are]_these_[things] have_you and_he/it_said Tsīⱱāʼ the_donkeys for_household the_king to_ride and_the[fn] and_the_summer_fruit to_eat the_young_men and_the_wine to_drink the_faint in/on/at/with_wilderness.
3 And_he/it_said the_king and_where [is]_the_son master’s_your and_he/it_said Tsīⱱāʼ to the_king there [he_is]_remaining in/on/at/with_Yərūshālayim if/because he_said the_day they_will_restore to_me the_house of_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) DOM the_kingship grandfather’s_my.
4 And_he/it_said the_king to_Tsīⱱāʼ here to/for_yourself(m) all that belonged_to_Mephi- bshet and_he/it_said Tsīⱱāʼ I_bow_down may_I_find favour in/on/at/with_sight_your my_master the_king.
5 And_came the_king Dāvid to Baḩurīm and_see/lo/see from_there a_man [was]_coming_out of_family of_the_house of_Shāʼūl and_his/its_name [was]_Shimˊī the_son of_Gērāʼ [he_was]_coming_out coming_out and_cursing.
6 And_pelted in/on/at/with_stones DOM Dāvid and_DOM all the_servants the_king Dāvid and_all the_people and_all the_powerful/mighty(pl) on_right_his and_on_left_his.
7 And_this he_said Shimˊī in/on/at/with_cursed_he get_out get_out Oh_man the_bloodshed and_man the_worthless.
8 He_has_brought_back on_you YHWH all the_blood(s) of_the_house of_Shāʼūl whom you_have_reigned in_place_him[fn] and_he/it_gave YHWH DOM the_royalty in/on/at/with_hand of_ʼAⱱīshālōm son_your and_look_you in/on/at/with_disaster_you if/because [are]_a_man of_blood(s) you.
9 And_he/it_said ʼAⱱīshay the_son of_Tsərūyāh/(Zeruiah) to the_king to/for_what will_he_curse the_dog the_dead the_this DOM my_master the_king let_me_pass_over please and_take_off DOM his/its_head.
10 and_he/it_said the_king what to/for_me and_with_you_all Oh_sons of_Tsərūyāh thus[fn] he_is_cursing and[fn] YHWH he_has_said to_him/it curse DOM Dāvid and_who will_he_say why have_you_done thus.
11 and_he/it_said Dāvid to ʼAⱱīshay and_near/to all servants_his here son_my who he_went_out of_flesh_and_blood_my_own [is]_seeking DOM life_my and_more if/because now the_Ben- the_Benjamite leave_alone to_him/it and_curse if/because he_has_spoken to_him/it YHWH.
12 Perhaps he_will_look YHWH in/on/at/with_distress_my[fn] and_repay YHWH to_me good in_place_of cursing_his the_day the_this.
13 And_he/it_went Dāvid and_men_his in/on/at/with_road and_Shimˊī [was]_going in/on/at/with_ridge the_hill at_opposite_of_him he_went and_cursed and_threw in/on/at/with_stones at_side_of_him and_threw in/on/at/with_dust.
14 and_arrived the_king and_all the_people which with_him/it exhausted and_refreshed there.
15 And_ʼAⱱīshālōm and_all the_people the_man of_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) they_came Yərūshālayim/(Jerusalem) and_ʼAḩītofel with_him/it.
16 And_he/it_was just_then he_came Ḩūshay the_ʼArkī the_friend of_Dāvid to ʼAⱱīshālōm and_he/it_said Ḩūshay to ʼAⱱīshālōm may_he_live the_king may_he_live the_king.
17 And_he/it_said ʼAⱱīshālōm to Ḩūshay [is]_this loyalty_your with friend_your to/for_what not did_you_go with friend_your.
18 And_he/it_said Ḩūshay to ʼAⱱīshālōm no if/because [the_one]_whom he_has_chosen YHWH and_the_people the_this and_all (the)_man of_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) wwww[fn] I_will_belong and_with_him I_will_remain.
19 And_the_furthermore for_whom I will_I_serve am_not to_(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before son_his just_as I_served to_(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before I_will_show_you(ms) so I_will_be in_presence_you.
20 and_he/it_said ʼAⱱīshālōm to ʼAḩītofel give to/for_you_all counsel what will_we_do.
21 And_he/it_said ʼAḩītofel to ʼAⱱīshālōm go into the_concubines I_will_show_you(ms) whom he_left to_take_care_of the_house and_hear all Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) if/because_that you_have_made_yourself_odious with I_will_show_you(ms) and_strengthened the_hands of_all [those]_who with_you.
22 And_pitched for_ʼAⱱīshālōm the_tent on the_roof and_went_in ʼAⱱīshālōm into the_concubines his/its_father in_sight of_all Yisrāʼēl/(Israel).
23 And_advice of_ʼAḩītofel which he_counseled in_the_days the_those just_as he_enquires[fn] in/on/at/with_word the_ʼElohīm [was]_so all the_counsel of_ʼAḩītofel both by_Dāvid as_well_as by_ʼAⱱīshālōm.
17 and_he/it_said ʼAḩītofel to ʼAⱱīshālōm let_me_choose please two_plus ten thousand man and_set_out and_pursue after Dāvid the_night.
2 And_come on/upon/above_him/it and_he [will_be]_weary and_discouraged of_hands and_throw_intoa_panic DOM_him/it and_flee all the_people which with_him/it and_strike_down DOM the_king for_him/it_being_alone.
3 And_bring_back all the_people to_you when_return the_all the_man whom you [are]_seeking all the_people it_will_be peace.
4 And_right the_plan in/on_both_eyes_of ʼAⱱīshālōm and_in/on/at/with_eyes of_all the_elders of_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel).
5 and_he/it_said ʼAⱱīshālōm summon please also for_Ḩūshay the_ʼArkī and_hear what in/on/at/with_say_he also he.
6 And_came Ḩūshay to ʼAⱱīshālōm and_he/it_said ʼAⱱīshālōm to_him/it to_say according_to_the_what the_this he_has_spoken ʼAḩītofel do DOM proposal_he if not you speak.
7 and_he/it_said Ḩūshay to ʼAⱱīshālōm not [is]_good the_advice which he_has_counseled ʼAḩītofel in/on/at/with_time the_this.

9 There now he [is]_hiding_himself in/on/at/with_one the_caves or in/on/at/with_other the_place and_it_was if_fall (is)_in_them in/on/at/with_first and_hear the_hears and_saying(ms) it_has_been a_slaughter in/on/at/with_people which [is]_after ʼAⱱīshālōm.

12 And_come to_him/it in/on/at/with_one[fn] the_places where he_is_found there and_we on/upon/above_him/it just_as it_will_fall the_dew on the_soil and_not it_will_be_left in/on/over_him/it and_on/over_all the_men who with_him/it also one.
13 And_if into a_city he_will_be_gathered and_bring all Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) to the_city the_that ropes and_drag DOM_him/it to the_valley until that not it_has_been_found there also a_pebble.
14 and_he/it_said ʼAⱱīshālōm and_all (the)_man of_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) [is]_good the_counsel of_Ḩūshay the_ʼArkī than_counsel of_ʼAḩītofel and_LORD he_had_commanded to_defeat DOM the_counsel of_ʼAḩītofel the_good in_in/on/at/with_order_to to_bring YHWH to ʼAⱱīshālōm DOM the_ruin.
15 and_he/it_said Ḩūshay to Tsādōq/(Zadok) and_near/to ʼEⱱyātār the_priests as_thus and_as_so he_has_counseled ʼAḩītofel DOM ʼAⱱīshālōm and_DOM the_elders of_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_as_thus and_as_so I_have_counseled I.

11 And_one he_stood on/upon/above_him/it of_young_men of_Yōʼāⱱ and_he/it_said who [is_the_one]_who he_delights in/on/at/with_Yōʼāⱱ and_who [is_the_one]_who for_Dāvid after Yōʼāⱱ.

16 And_she/it_called/named a_woman wise from the_city listen listen say please to Yōʼāⱱ draw_near to here and_speak to_you.

37 Tseleq/(Zelek) the_ˊAmmōnī Naḩₐray the_Bəʼērōtite the_bearer[fn] of_the_armor(s) of_Yōʼāⱱ the_son of_Tsərūyāh/(Zeruiah).
38 ˊĪrāʼ the_Yitrī/(Ithrite) Gārēⱱ the_Yitrī.
39 ʼŪriyyāh the_Ḩittiy all [were]_thirty and_seven.
24 and_again the_anger of_YHWH to_burned in/on/at/with_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_incited DOM Dāvid (is)_in_them to_say go count DOM Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) and_DOM Yəhūdāh/(Judah).

9 And_he/it_gave Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) DOM the_number of_the_muster the_people to the_king and_it_became Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) eight hundred(s) thousand man of_strength [who]_drew a_sword and_men of_Yəhūdāh [was]_five hundred(s) thousand man.
10 And_struck the_heart of_Dāvid DOM_him/it after thus he_had_counted DOM the_people and_he/it_said Dāvid to YHWH I_have_sinned exceedingly [that]_which I_have_done and_now Oh_YHWH take_away please DOM the_iniquity servant_your if/because I_have_acted_foolishly exceedingly.
11 And_he/it_rose_up Dāvid in/on/at/with_morning and_word of_YHWH it_came to Gād the_prophet the_seer of_Dāvid to_say.
12 Go and_say to Dāvid thus he_says YHWH three_[things] I [am]_laying on_you choose to/for_yourself(m) one from_them and_do to_you.
13 And_came Gād to Dāvid and_told to_him/it and_he/it_said to_him/it come to/for_yourself(m) seven years famine in/on/at/with_land_your or three months flee_you[fn] to_(the)_face_of/in_front_of/before foes_your and_he pursue_you and_if to_be three days pestilence in/on/at/with_land_your now know and_decide what will_I_bring_back sent_me word.
14 and_he/it_said Dāvid to Gād it_is_distress to_me exceedingly let_us_fall please in/on/at/with_hand of_YHWH if/because [are]_great mercy_his[fn] and_in/on/at/with_hands of_a_human not let_me_fall.
15 And_he/it_gave YHWH a_pestilence in/on/at/with_Yisrāʼēl/(Israel) from_the_morning and_unto a_time of_an_appointed_time and_he/it_died of the_people from_Dān and_unto Bəʼēr Sheⱱaˊ seventy thousand person[s].
16 And_stretched_out his/its_hand the_messenger Yərūshālayim/(Jerusalem) to_destroy_it and_he/it_sighed/regretted YHWH concerning the_calamity and_he/it_said to_the_messenger the_destruction in/on/at/with_people enough now let_drop hand_your and_messenger of_YHWH he_was near the_threshing_floor the_ʼAravnāh[fn] the_Yəⱱūşī/(Jebusite).
17 and_he/it_said Dāvid to YHWH in/on/at/with_saw_he DOM the_messenger the_destroying in/on/at/with_people and_he/it_said here I I_have_sinned and_I I_have_done_wrong and_these the_sheep what have_they_done let_it_be please hand_your in/on/at/with_me and_in/on/at/with_house father’s_my.
18 and_came Gād to Dāvid in_the_day (the)_that and_he/it_said to_him/it go_up set_up to/for_YHWH an_altar in/on/at/with_threshing_floor of_ʼAravnāh[fn] the_Yəⱱūşī.
19 And_he/it_ascended Dāvid according_to_word of_Gād just_as he_had_commanded YHWH.
20 And_looked_down ʼAravnāh and_he/it_saw DOM the_king and_DOM servants_his passing_over on/upon/above_him/it and_he/it_went_out ʼAravnāh and_bowed_down to/for_the_king face_his ground_to.
21 And_he/it_said ʼAravnāh why has_he_come my_master the_king to servant_his and_he/it_said Dāvid to_buy from_with_you DOM the_threshing_floor in_order_to_build an_altar to/for_YHWH and_averted the_plague from_under the_people.
22 And_he/it_said ʼAravnāh to Dāvid let_him_take_[it] and_offer_up my_master the_king the_good in/on/at/with_eyes_him[fn] see the_oxen for_the_burnt_offering and_the_threshing_sledges and_yokes the_oxen for_the_wood.
23 The_all he_gives ʼAravnāh the_king to/for_the_king and_he/it_said ʼAravnāh to the_king YHWH god_your accept_you.
24 And_he/it_said the_king to ʼAravnāh no[fn] if/because certainly_(buy) I_will_buy_[it] from_you in/on/at/with_price and_not I_will_offer_up to/for_YHWH god_my burnt_offerings without_paying and_bought Dāvid DOM the_threshing_floor and_DOM the_oxen in/on/at/with_silver shekels fifty.
25 And_he/it_built there Dāvid an_altar to/for_YHWH and_he/it_ascended burnt_offerings and_fellowship_offerings and_answered_supplication YHWH for_the_land and_averted the_plague from_under Yisrāʼēl/(Israel).
