2 and_he/it _was after thus and_ Dāvid _inquired in/on/at/with_LORD to_say go _up in/on/at/with_one _of the _cities _of Yəhūdāh/(Judah) and_ YHWH _he/it _said to_him/it go _up and_ Dāvid _he/it _said where will _I _go _up and_he/it _said Ḩeⱱrōn_to.
2 And_he/it _ascended there Dāvid and_also the _two _of wives _of_his ʼAḩīnoˊam the_Yizrəˊ^ʼēl/(Jezreel) and_ʼAⱱīgayil the _wife _of Nāⱱāl the_Karməlī.
3 And_men _of_his who with_him/it Dāvid he _brought _up each _man and_his/its_house(hold) and_they _lived in/on/at/with_towns _of Ḩeⱱrōn.
4 And_ the _people _of _they _came of _Yəhūdāh and_anointed there DOM Dāvid as_king over the _house _of Yəhūdāh and_told to_Dāvid to_say [were]_the _men _of Yāⱱēsh/(Jabesh) [those]_who they _buried DOM Shāʼūl.
5 and_ Dāvid _sent messengers to the _people _of Yāⱱēsh and_he/it _said to_them [be]_blessed you _all to/for_YHWH that you _all _have _done the_kindness the_this with master _of_your _all’s with Shāʼūl and_buried DOM_him/it.
6 And_now may _he _do YHWH to_you _all covenant _loyalty and_faithfulness and_also I I _will _do to_you _all the_good the_same that you _all _have _done the_thing the_this.
7 And_now hands _of_your _all’s let _them _be _strong and_be as_men _of strength if/because master _of_your _all’s he _has _died Shāʼūl and_also DOM_me the _house _of they _have _anointed of _Yəhūdāh/(Judah) as_king over_them.
8 and_ʼAⱱnēr the _son _of Nēr [the]_commander _of [the]_army which to_Shāʼūl’s he _had _taken DOM Ish- bshet the _son _of Shāʼūl and_brought _over_him Maḩₐnāyim.
9 And_made _king_him to the_Gilˊād and_near/to the_ʼAshūrī and_over Yizrəˊ^ʼēl/(Jezreel) and_over ʼEfrayim and_over Binyāmīn and_over Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel) all _of_it.
10 [was]_a _son _of forty year[s] Ish- bshet the _son _of Shāʼūl in/on/at/with_became _king_he over Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel) and_two years he _reigned only the _house _of Yəhūdāh they _were after Dāvid.
11 And_ the _number _of _he/it _was the_days which he _was Dāvid king in/on/at/with_Ḩeⱱrōn over the _house _of Yəhūdāh seven years and_six months.
12 and_ ʼAⱱnēr _he/it _went _out the _son _of Nēr and_servants _of Ish- bshet the _son _of Shāʼūl from_Maḩₐnāyim Giⱱˊōn_to.
13 And_Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) the _son _of Tsərū^yāh/(Zeruiah) and_servants _of Dāvid they _went _out and_met_them at the _pool _of Giⱱˊōn together and_they _lived these _[men] at the_pool on_one and_these at the_pool on_the _other _side.
14 And_ ʼAⱱnēr _he/it _said to Yōʼāⱱ let _them _arise please the_young _men and_fight in_front _of_us and_ Yōʼāⱱ _he/it _said let _them _arise.
15 And_came _forward and_passed in/on/at/with_counted two _plus ten for_Binyāmīn and_for_Ish- bshet the _son _of Shāʼūl and_two ten of_servants _of of _Dāvid.
16 And_grabbed each in/on/at/with_head _of his/its_neighbour and_sword _of_his in/on/at/with_side _of his/its_neighbour and_they _fell together and_he/it _called to _the_place (the)_that Helkath Hazzurim which in/on/at/with_Giⱱˊōn.
17 And_it _became the_battle severe up _to muchness in _the_day (the)_that and_ ʼAⱱnēr _defeated and_men _of Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel) to_(the)_face _of/in _front _of/before the _servants _of Dāvid.
18 And_they _were there three the _sons _of Tsərū^yāh Yōʼāⱱ and_ʼAⱱīshay and_ˊAsāh^ʼēl and_ˊAsāh^ʼēl [was]_swift in/on/at/with_foot _of_his like_one the_gazelles which in/on/at/with_wild.
19 And_ ˊAsāh^ʼēl _pursued after ʼAⱱnēr and_not he _turned _aside to_go to the_right and_to the_left from_following ʼAⱱnēr.
20 And_ ʼAⱱnēr _looked behind_him and_he/it _said you [is]_this Oh _ˊAsāh^ʼēl and_he/it _said I.
21 And_he/it _said to_him/it ʼAⱱnēr turn _aside to/for_yourself(m) to right _of_your or to left _of_your and_seize to/for_yourself(m) one of_the_young _men and_take to/for_yourself(m) DOM spoil _of_his and_not ˊAsāh^ʼēl he _was _willing to_turn _aside from_following_him.
22 And_repeated again ʼAⱱnēr to_say to ˊAsāh^ʼēl turn _aside to/for_yourself(m) from_following_me to/for_what strike_you towards_land and_how will _I _lift _up face _of_my to Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) your(ms)_brother/kindred.
23 And_refused to_turn _away and_struck_him ʼAⱱnēr in/on/at/with_butt _of the_spear into the_stomach and_came _out the_spear at_back_his and_fell there and_he/it _died on _the _spot_he[fn] and_he/it _was every _of the_came to the_place where he _fell there ˊAsāh^ʼēl and_he/it _died and_stood _still.
24 And_ Yōʼāⱱ _pursued and_ʼAⱱīshay after ʼAⱱnēr and_the_sun it _set and_they they _came to the _hill _of ʼAmmāh which [is]_on the _face _of Giyaaḩ the _way _of the _wilderness _of Giⱱˊōn.
25 And_ the _descendants _of _rallied of _Binyāmīn behind ʼAⱱnēr and_they _were as_band one and_took _stand on [the]_top _of a _hill one.
26 And_ ʼAⱱnēr _he/it _called to Yōʼāⱱ and_he/it _said for_ever will _it _devour [the]_sword am_not do _you _know if/because _that bitter it _will _be in/on/at/with_end and_unto when not will _you _say to _the_people to_turn from_pursuing brothers _of_their.
27 And_ Yōʼāⱱ _he/it _said [by]_the _life the_ʼElohīm if/because if _not you _had _spoken if/because then until_the_morning it _had _abandoned _pursuit the_people each from_pursuit his/its_woman.
28 And_ Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) _blew in/on/at/with_trumpet and_ all _of _they _stood the_people and_not they _pursued again after Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel) and_not they _repeated again to_fight.
29 And_ʼAⱱnēr and_men _of_his they _went in/on/at/with_ˊₐrāⱱāh all _of the_night (the)_that and_crossed DOM the_Yardēn/(Jordan) and_marching all _of the_forenoon and_they _came Maḩₐnāyim.
30 And_Yōʼāⱱ he _returned from_pursuing ʼAⱱnēr and_gathered _together DOM all _of the_people and_missing of_servants _of of _Dāvid nine- teen man and_Asah- el.
31 And_servants _of Dāvid they _had _struck _down of_Binyāmīn and_in/on/at/with_men _of ʼAⱱnēr three hundred(s) and_sixty man they _had _died.
32 And_took _up DOM ˊAsāh^ʼēl and_buried_him in/on/at/with_tomb _of his/its_father which [was]_Bēyt- lehem and_ all _of _marched the_night Yōʼāⱱ and_men _of_his and_broke to/for_them in/on/at/with_Ḩeⱱrōn.
