13 And _ Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) the _ son_ ofTsə rūyāh /(Zeruiah) and _ the _ servants_ ofDāvid they _ went_ outand _ they _ met _ themat the _ pool_ ofGiⱱˊōn together and _ they _ livedthese _ at the _ pool from _ this and _ these at the _ pool from _ this .

18 And _ they _ werethere three the _ sons_ ofTsə rūyāh Yōʼāⱱ and _ ʼAⱱīshay and _ ˊAsāhʼēl and _ ˊAsāhʼēl was _ swifton _ his _ of_ feet like _ one of _ the _ gazelleswhich are _ in_ country .
19 And _ ˊAsāhʼēl _ he _ pursuedafter ʼAⱱnēr and _ not he _ turned_ asideto _ go to the _ right and _ to the _ left from _ after ʼAⱱnēr .
20 And _ ʼAⱱnēr _ he _ turnedbehind _ him and _ he/it _ saidyou is _ thisOh _ ˊAsāhʼēl and _ he/it _ saidI .
21 And _ he/it _ saidto _ him/it ʼAⱱnēr turn _ asideto/for _ yourself(m) to right _ of_ your or to left _ of_ your and _ seize to/for _ yourself(m) one of _ the _ young_ men and _ take to/for _ yourself(m) DOM spoil _ of_ his and _ not ˊAsāhʼēl he _ was_ willingto _ turn _ asidefrom _ after _ him .
22 And _ he _ repeatedagain ʼAⱱnēr to _ say to ˊAsāhʼēl turn _ asideto/for _ yourself(m) from _ after _ me to/for _ what will _ I _ strike_ youtowards _ land and _ how will _ I_ lift_ upface _ of_ my to Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) your(ms) _ brother/kindred .
23 And _ he _ refusedto _ turn _ asideand _ he _ struck _ himʼAⱱnēr with _ the _ back_ end(s)_ ofthe _ spearinto the _ belly and _ it _ went_ outthe _ spear from _ behind _ him and _ he _ fellthere and _ he/it _ diedin _ his _ place[fn ] and _ he/it _ wasevery _ of(the) _ one _ who _ cameto the _ place where he _ fellthere ˊAsāhʼēl and _ he/it _ diedand _ they _ stood_ still24 And _ Yōʼāⱱ _ they _ pursuedand _ ʼAⱱīshay after ʼAⱱnēr and _ the _ sun it _ setand _ they they _ cameto the _ hill_ ofʼAmmāh which is _ onthe _ face_ ofGiyaaḩ the _ way_ ofthe _ wilderness_ ofGiⱱˊōn .
25 And _ the _ descendants_ of_ they _ gathered_ togetherof _ Binyāmīnbehind ʼAⱱnēr and _ they _ were(into) _ a_ band one and _ they _ stoodon the _ top_ ofa _ hillone .
26 And _ ʼAⱱnēr _ he/it _ calledto Yōʼāⱱ and _ he/it _ saidto _ perpetuity will _ it_ devourthe _ swordam _ not do _ you_ knowif/because _ thatbitter it _ will_ beat _ last and _ unto when not will _ you_ sayto _ people to _ turn _ backfrom _ after brothers _ of_ their .
