The author is speaking of a whole, all of the tribes of Israel, to mean a part of that whole, representatives of the tribes who came to David. If it would be helpful in your language, you could use an equivalent expression from your culture or state the meaning plainly. The tribal representatives are using the courteous expression that people in this culture would use to tell a superior that they were ready and willing to obey his orders. Here, we are your bone and your flesh was a common expression that the tribal representatives were using to affirm to David that they were related by descent from a common ancestor. If this phrase does not have that meaning in your language, you could use a comparable expression from your language that does have that meaning, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [we are your blood relatives]
