20 and _ there he _ was_ met a _ man of _ worthlessness and _ his/its _ name [was] _ Sheba the _ son of _ Bicri a _ man a _ Jaminite and _ blew in/on/at/with _ trumpet and _ he/it _ said there _ [is]_ not to/for _ us a _ portion in/on/at/with _ Dāvid and _ not an _ inheritance to/for _ us in/on/at/with _ son of _ Yishay everyone to _ tents _ his Oh _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) .
2 And _ he/it _ ascended every (the) _ man of _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) from _ after Dāvid after Sheba the _ son of _ Bicri and _ men of _ Yə hūdāh they _ clung in/on/at/with _ king _ their from the _ Yarddēn and _ unto Yə rūshālayim .
3 And _ came Dāvid to house _ his Yə rūshālayim and _ he/it _ took the _ king DOM [the] _ ten women concubines whom he _ had_ left to _ guard/protect the _ house and _ put _ in_ them a _ house of _ confinement and _ provided _ them and _ to _ them not he _ went and _ were locked _ up until the _ day death _ their widowhood of _ living .
4 and _ he/it _ said the _ king to Amasa summon to _ me DOM the _ man of _ Yə hūdāh three days and _ you(ms) here stand .
5 And _ he/it _ went Amasa to _ summon DOM Yə hūdāh and _ delayed [fn ] from the _ set _ time which appointed _ him .
6 and _ he/it _ said Dāvid to Abishai now he _ will_ be_ bad to/for _ us Sheba the _ son of _ Bicri more _ than Absalom you take DOM the _ servants master’s _ your and _ pursue after _ him lest he _ has_ found to _ him/it cities fortified and _ escape sight _ us .
7 And _ they _ went_ out after _ him the _ men of _ Joab and _ the _ Cherethites and _ the _ Pelethites and _ all the _ powerful/mighty(pl) and _ they _ went_ out from _ Yə rūshālayim to _ pursue after Sheba the _ son of _ Bicri .
8 They [were] _ near the _ stone the _ great which in/on/at/with _ Gibeon and _ Amasa he _ came to _ meet _ them and _ Joab [was] _ girded garment _ his clothing _ of_ him and _ over _ it [fn ] a _ belt of _ a_ sword [was] _ fastened on waist _ his in/on/at/with _ sheath _ its and _ he he _ went_ forward and _ fell _ out .
9 and _ he/it _ said Joab to _ Amasa well [are] _ you my _ brother/kindred and _ took the _ hand of _ the_ right_ side of _ Joab in/on/at/with _ beard of _ Amasa to _ kiss to _ him/it .
10 And _ Amasa not he _ took_ heed in/on/at/with _ sword which in/on/at/with _ hand of _ Joab and _ struck _ him in/on/at/with _ it into the _ belly and _ poured _ out entrails _ his towards _ land and _ not he _ repeated to _ him/it and _ he/it _ died and _ Joab and _ Abishai his/its _ woman he _ pursued after Sheba the _ son of _ Bicri .
11 And _ one he _ stood on/upon/above _ him/it of _ young _ men of _ Joab and _ he/it _ said who [is _ the_ one]_ who he _ delights in/on/at/with _ Joab and _ who [is _ the_ one]_ who for _ Dāvid after Joab .
12 And _ Amasa [was] _ rolling in/on/at/with _ blood in _ the_ middle the _ highway [fn ] and _ he/it _ saw the _ man DOM _ that it _ stopped all the _ people and _ carried DOM Amasa from the _ highway the _ field and _ threw on/upon/above _ him/it a _ garment just _ as he _ saw every the _ came on/upon/above _ him/it and _ stopped .
13 Just _ as he _ had_ removed_ [him] from the _ highway he _ passed_ on every person after Joab to _ pursue after Sheba the _ son of _ Bicri .
14 And _ passed in _ all the _ tribes of _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) Heⱱel/(Abel) _ to and wwww and _ all the _ Berites and [fn ] and _ they _ came also after _ him .
15 And _ they _ came and _ besieged on/upon/above _ him/it in/on/at/with house _ of wwww and _ threw _ up a _ mound against the _ city and _ stood in/on/at/with _ rampart and _ all the _ troops which [was] _ with Joab [were] _ about_ to_ destroy to _ break _ down the _ wall .
16 And _ she/it _ called/named a _ woman wise from the _ city listen listen say please to Joab draw _ near to here and _ speak to _ you .
17 And _ came _ near to _ her/it and _ she/it _ said the _ woman you Joab and _ he/it _ said I _ [am] and _ she/it _ said to _ him/it listen _ to the _ words your(ms) _ female _ slave and _ he/it _ said [am] _ listening I .
18 And _ she/it _ said to _ say surely _ (speak) they _ spoke in/on/at/with _ former _ times to _ say really _ (ask) they _ will_ ask in/on/at/with _ Heⱱel/(Abel) and _ thus/so/as _ follows they _ ceased .
19 I [am] _ the_ peaceful_ [ones] of _ the_ faithful_ [ones] of _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) you [are] _ seeking to _ destroy a _ city and _ mother in/on/at/with _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) to/for _ what will _ you_ swallow_ up the _ inheritance of _ Yahweh .
20 and _ answered Joab and _ said far _ be_ it ` to _ me if I _ will_ swallow_ up and _ if I _ will_ destroy .
21 [is] _ not so the _ case DOM a _ man from _ hill of _ ʼEfrayim [who _ is]_ Sheba the _ son of _ Bicri his/its _ name he _ has_ lifted_ up his/its _ hand in/on/at/with _ king in/on/at/with _ Dāvid give DOM _ him/it for _ him/it _ being _ alone and _ withdraw from _ under the _ city and _ she/it _ said the _ woman to Joab here his/its _ head [is] _ about_ to_ be_ thrown to _ you behind the _ wall .
22 And _ went the _ woman to all the _ people in/on/at/with _ wise _ her and _ cut _ off DOM the _ head of _ Sheba the _ son of _ Bicri and _ threw to Joab and _ blew in/on/at/with _ trumpet and _ dispersed from _ under the _ city each to _ tent _ his and _ Joab he _ returned Yə rūshālayim to the _ king .
23 and _ Joab [was] _ to all the _ army of _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) and _ Benaiah the _ son of _ Jehoiada [was] _ over the _ Cherethites [fn ] and _ over the _ Pelethites .
24 And _ Adoram [was] _ over the _ forced _ labour and _ Jehoshaphat the _ son of _ Ahilud the _ recorder .
25 And _ Sheva [fn ] [was] _ secretary and _ Tsādōq and _ ⱱə yātār [were] _ priests .
26 And _ also Ira the _ Jairite he _ was a _ priest for _ Dāvid .
