15 And _ they _ cameand _ they _ laid_ siegeon/upon/above _ him/it in house _ ofkāh and _ they _ poured_ outa _ moundagainst the _ city and _ it _ stoodby _ rampart and _ all the _ people which was _ withYōʼāⱱ were _ about_ to_ destroyto _ make _ fallthe _ wall .
16 And _ a _ woman_ she/it _ called/namedwise from the _ city listen listen say please to Yōʼāⱱ draw _ nearto here so _ that _ I_ may_ speakto _ you .
17 And _ he _ drew_ nearto _ her/it and _ she/it _ saidthe _ woman are _ you Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) and _ he/it _ saidI _ am and _ she/it _ saidto _ him/it listen _ tothe _ words/messages_ ofyour(ms) _ female _ slaveand _ he/it _ saidam _ listeningI .
18 And _ she/it _ saidto _ say surely _ (speak)they _ spokeat _ to _ say really _ (ask)they _ will_ askat _ ʼĀⱱēl and _ thus/so/as _ followsthey _ ceased19 I am _ the_ peaceful_ _ ofthe _ faithful_ _ ofYisrāʼēl /(Israel) you are _ seekingto _ kill a _ cityand _ a _ motherin _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) to/for _ what will _ you_ swallow_ upthe _ inheritance_ ofYHWH 20 and _ Yōʼāⱱ _ he _ answeredand _ he _ saidfar _ be _ itfar _ be _ itto _ me if I _ will_ swallow_ upand _ if I _ will_ destroy21 is _ notso the _ matter if/because a _ manfrom _ hill of _ ʼEfrayimwho _ is _ Sheⱱaˊthe _ son_ ofBicri his/its _ name he _ has_ lifted_ uphis/its _ hand against _ king against _ Dāvid give DOM _ him/it for _ him/it _ being _ aloneand _ I _ will_ gofrom _ under the _ city and _ she/it _ saidthe _ woman to Yōʼāⱱ here his/its _ head is _ about_ to_ be_ thrownto _ you behind the _ wall .

23 and _ Yōʼāⱱ was _ toall _ ofthe _ army of _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)and _ Bə nāyāh the _ son_ ofYə hōyādāˊ/(Jehoiada) was _ overthe _ Kerethite[s] [fn ] and _ over the _ Pelethite[s] .
24 And _ ʼAdorām was _ overthe _ forced_ labour and _ Yə hōshāfāţ/(Jehoshaphat) the _ son_ ofʼAḩīlūd was _ the_ recorder .
25 And _ Shə vāʼ [fn ] was _ secretaryand _ Tsādōq/(Zadok) and _ ʼEⱱyātār were _ priests26 And _ also ˊĪrāʼ the _ Jairite he _ wasa _ priestof _ Dāvid .
