3 And _ came Dāvid to house _ his Yə rūshālayim and _ he/it _ tookthe _ king DOM [the] _ tenwomen concubines whom he _ had_ leftto _ guard/protect the _ house and _ put _ in_ them a _ houseof _ confinementand _ provided _ them and _ to _ them not he _ wentand _ were locked _ upuntil the _ daydeath _ their widowhood of _ living4 and _ he/it _ saidthe _ king to ˊAmāsāʼ summon to _ me DOM the _ manof _ Yə hūdāhthree days and _ you(ms) here stand .
5 And _ he/it _ wentˊAmāsāʼ to _ summon DOM Yə hūdāh and _ delayed [fn ] from the _ set _ timewhich appointed _ him .
6 and _ he/it _ saidDāvid to ʼAⱱīshay now he _ will_ be_ badto/for _ us Sheⱱaˊ the _ sonof _ Bicrimore _ thanʼAⱱīshālōm you take DOM the _ servantsmaster’s _ your and _ pursue after _ him lest he _ has_ foundto _ him/it cities fortified and _ escape sight _ us .
7 And _ they _ went_ outafter _ him the _ menof _ Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab)and _ the _ Kə rētī and _ the _ Fə lētī and _ all the _ powerful/mighty(pl) and _ they _ went_ outfrom _ Yə rūshālayim to _ pursue after Sheⱱaˊ the _ sonof _ Bicri8 They [were] _ nearthe _ stone the _ great which in/on/at/with _ Giⱱˊōn and _ ˊAmāsāʼ he _ cameto _ meet _ them and _ Yōʼāⱱ [was] _ girdedgarment _ his clothing _ of_ him and _ over _ it [fn ] a _ beltof _ a_ sword[was] _ fastenedon waist _ his in/on/at/with _ sheath _ its and _ he he _ went_ forwardand _ fell _ out9 and _ he/it _ saidYōʼāⱱ to _ ˊAmāsāʼ well [are] _ youmy _ brother/kindred and _ took the _ handof _ the_ right_ sideof _ Yōʼāⱱin/on/at/with _ beard of _ ˊAmāsāʼto _ kiss to _ him/it .
10 And _ ˊAmāsāʼ not he _ took_ heedin/on/at/with _ sword which in/on/at/with _ hand of _ Yōʼāⱱand _ struck _ him in/on/at/with _ it into the _ belly and _ poured _ outentrails _ his towards _ land and _ not he _ repeatedto _ him/it and _ he/it _ diedand _ Yōʼāⱱ and _ ʼAⱱīshay his/its _ woman he _ pursuedafter Sheⱱaˊ the _ sonof _ Bicri11 And _ one he _ stoodon/upon/above _ him/it of _ young _ menof _ Yōʼāⱱand _ he/it _ saidwho [is _ the_ one]_ whohe _ delightsin/on/at/with _ Yōʼāⱱ and _ who [is _ the_ one]_ whofor _ Dāvid after Yōʼāⱱ .
12 And _ ˊAmāsāʼ [was] _ rollingin/on/at/with _ blood in _ the_ middle the _ highway [fn ] and _ he/it _ sawthe _ man if/because _ thatit _ stoppedall the _ people and _ carried DOM ˊAmāsāʼ from the _ highway the _ field and _ threw on/upon/above _ him/it a _ garmentjust _ as he _ sawevery the _ came on/upon/above _ him/it and _ stopped .
13 Just _ as he _ had_ removed_ [him]from the _ highway he _ passed_ onevery person after Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) to _ pursue after Sheⱱaˊ the _ sonof _ Bicri14 And _ passed in _ all the _ tribesof _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)Heⱱel/(Abel) _ to and wwww and _ all the _ Berites and [fn ] and _ they _ camealso after _ him .
15 And _ they _ cameand _ besieged on/upon/above _ him/it in/on/at/with house _ ofwwww and _ threw _ upa _ moundagainst the _ city and _ stood in/on/at/with _ rampart and _ all the _ troops which [was] _ withYōʼāⱱ [were] _ about_ to_ destroyto _ break _ downthe _ wall .
16 And _ she/it _ called/nameda _ womanwise from the _ city listen listen say please to Yōʼāⱱ draw _ nearto here and _ speak to _ you .
17 And _ came _ nearto _ her/it and _ she/it _ saidthe _ woman you Yōʼāⱱ and _ he/it _ saidI _ [am]and _ she/it _ saidto _ him/it listen _ tothe _ wordsyour(ms) _ female _ slaveand _ he/it _ said[am] _ listeningI .
18 And _ she/it _ saidto _ say surely _ (speak)they _ spokein/on/at/with _ former _ timesto _ say really _ (ask)they _ will_ askin/on/at/with _ Heⱱel and _ thus/so/as _ followsthey _ ceased19 I [am] _ the_ peaceful_ [ones]of _ the_ faithful_ [ones]of _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)you [are] _ seekingto _ destroy a _ cityand _ mother in/on/at/with _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) to/for _ what will _ you_ swallow_ upthe _ inheritanceof _ YHWH 20 and _ answered Yōʼāⱱ/(Joab) and _ said far _ be_ it` to _ me if I _ will_ swallow_ upand _ if I _ will_ destroy21 [is] _ notso the _ case if/because a _ manfrom _ hill of _ ʼEfrayim[who _ is]_ Sheⱱaˊthe _ sonof _ Bicrihis/its _ name he _ has_ lifted_ uphis/its _ hand in/on/at/with _ king in/on/at/with _ Dāvid give DOM _ him/it for _ him/it _ being _ aloneand _ withdraw from _ under the _ city and _ she/it _ saidthe _ woman to Yōʼāⱱ here his/its _ head [is] _ about_ to_ be_ thrownto _ you behind the _ wall .
22 And _ went the _ woman to all the _ people in/on/at/with _ wise _ her and _ cut _ offDOM the _ headof _ Sheⱱaˊthe _ sonof _ Bicriand _ threw to Yōʼāⱱ and _ blew in/on/at/with _ trumpet and _ dispersed from _ under the _ city each to _ tent _ his and _ Yōʼāⱱ he _ returnedYə rūshālayim/(Jerusalem) to the _ king .
23 and _ Yōʼāⱱ [was] _ toall the _ army of _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel)and _ Bə nāyāh the _ sonof _ Yə hōyādāˊ/(Jehoiada)[was] _ overthe _ Kə rētī [fn ] and _ over the _ Fə lētī .
24 And _ ʼAdorām [was] _ overthe _ forced _ labourand _ Yə hōshāfāţ/(Jehoshaphat) the _ sonof _ ʼAḩīlūdthe _ recorder .
25 And _ Sheva [fn ] [was] _ secretaryand _ Tsādōq/(Zadok) and _ ʼEⱱyātār [were] _ priests26 And _ also ˊĪrāʼ the _ Yāʼīr/(Jair)ite he _ wasa _ priestfor _ Dāvid .
