4 And_he/it_said to_him/it why [are]_you thus weak Oh_son_of the_king in/on/at/with_morning in/on/at/with_morning am_not will_you_tell to_me and_he/it_said to_him/it ʼAmnōn DOM Tāmār the_sister_of ʼAⱱīshālōm my_brother/kindred I [am]_loving.
5 And_he/it_said to_him/it Yōnādāⱱ lie_down on bed_of_your and_pretend_to_be_ill I_will_show_you(ms) and_comes to_see_you and_say to_him/it let_her_come please Tāmār sister_of_my and_give_toeat_me food and_prepare in_sight_of_my DOM the_food so_that that I_may_see and_eat from_hand_of_her.
6 And_ ʼAmnōn _lay_down and_pretended_to_be_ill and_came the_king to_see_him and_ ʼAmnōn _he/it_said to the_king let_her_come please Tāmār sister_of_my and_let_her_make_bread in_sight_of_my two_of cakes and_eat from_hand_of_her.
7 And_ Dāvid _sent to Tāmār the_palace_at to_say go please the_house_of ʼAmnōn brother_of_your and_prepare to_him/it the_food.
8 And_ Tāmār _went the_house_of ʼAmnōn brother_of_her and_he [was]_lying_down and_she/it_took DOM the_dough and[fn] and_made_cakes in_sight_of_his and_baked DOM the_cakes.
9 And_she/it_took DOM the_pan and_set_out in_front_of_him and_refused to_eat and_ ʼAmnōn _he/it_said send_out every_of person from_with_me and_ every_of _they_went_out person from_with_him.
10 And_ ʼAmnōn _he/it_said to Tāmār bring the_food the_bedroom and_eat from_hand_of_your and_ Tāmār _she/it_took DOM the_cakes which she_had_made and_brought to_ʼAmnōn brother_of_her the_bedroom_into.
11 And_brought to_him/it to_eat and_took_hold in/on/at/with_her and_he/it_said to/for_her/it come lie with_me sister_of_my.
12 And_she/it_said to_him/it no my_brother/kindred do_not force_me if/because not it_will_be_done thus in/on/at/with_Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel) do_not do DOM the_disgraceful_thing the_this.
13 And_me where will_I_bring DOM disgrace_of_my and_you(ms) you_will_be like_one the_fools in/on/at/with_Yisrā^ʼēl/(Israel) and_now speak please to the_king if/because not withhold_me from_you.

15 And_hated_her ʼAmnōn hatred great very if/because [was]_great the_hatred which hated_her than_love which loved_her and_said to/for_her/it ʼAmnōn get_up go.

19 And_ Tāmār _she/it_took ash[es] on head_of_her and_robe_of the_long-sleeved which on/upon_it(f) she_tore and_put hand_of_her on head_of_her and_went_away surely_(go) and_crying_aloud.
20 And_he/it_said to_her/it ʼAⱱīshālōm brother_of_her ʼAmnōn brother_of_your has_he_been with_you and_now sister_of_my keep_silent brother_of_your he do_not set DOM heart_of_you to_the_word/thing/matter the_this and_ Tāmār _remained and_desolate the_house_of ʼAⱱīshālōm brother_of_her.
21 And_the_king Dāvid he_heard DOM all_of the_things the_these and_it_glowed/burned to_him/it exceedingly.
22 And_not ʼAⱱīshālōm he_spoke with ʼAmnōn to_either_bad and_unto good if/because ʼAⱱīshālōm he_hated DOM ʼAmnōn on the_thing_of (of)_that he_had_humbled DOM Tāmār sister_of_his.
23 and_he/it_was after_years days and_they_were shearers for_ʼAⱱīshālōm in/on/at/with_Baˊal- hazor which [is]_near ʼEfrayim and_ ʼAⱱīshālōm _he/it_called to/from_all/each/any/every the_sons_of the_king’s.
24 And_ ʼAⱱīshālōm _went to the_king and_he/it_said here please shearers has_servant_of_your let_him_go please the_king and_servants_of_his with servant_of_your.
25 And_he/it_said the_king to ʼAⱱīshālōm no son_of_my not please all_of_us let_us_go and_not we_will_be_heavy to_you and_urged in/on/over_him/it and_not he_was_willing to_go and_gave_blessing_him.
26 And_ ʼAⱱīshālōm _he/it_said and_not let_him_go please with_us ʼAmnōn my_brother/kindred and_he/it_said to_him/it the_king to/for_what will_he_go with_you.
27 And_urged in/on/over_him/it ʼAⱱīshālōm and_sent with_him/it DOM ʼAmnōn and_DOM all_of the_sons_of the_king’s.
28 and_ ʼAⱱīshālōm _he/it_commanded DOM servants_of_his to_say look please when_merry the_heart_of ʼAmnōn in/on/at/with_wine and_say to_you_all strike_down DOM ʼAmnōn and_kill DOM_him/it do_not be_afraid am_not (cmp) I I_have_commanded DOM_you_all be_strong and_be as_sons_of strength.
29 And_ the_servants_of _did of_ʼAⱱīshālōm to_ʼAmnōn just_as ʼAⱱīshālōm he_had_commanded and_got_up all_of the_sons_of the_king and_mounted each on mule_of_his and_fled.
30 And_he/it_was they in/on/at/with_way and_the_report it_came to Dāvid to_say he_has_struck_down ʼAⱱīshālōm DOM all_of the_sons_of the_king and_not he_is_left from_them one.
31 and_he/it_rose_up the_king and_tore DOM clothes_of_his and_lay ground_on and_all servants_of_his [were]_standing torn_of garments.
32 and_ Yōnādāⱱ/(Jonadab) _spoke_up the_son_of Shimˊāh the_brother_of Dāvid and_he/it_said not my_master let_him_say DOM all_of the_young_men the_sons_of the_king they_have_killed if/because ʼAmnōn for_him/it_being_alone he_has_died if/because on the_mouth_of ʼAⱱīshālōm it_has_been determined from_day_of raped_he DOM Tāmār sister_of_his.
33 And_now not let_him_set my_master the_king to his/its_heart a_word to_say all_of the_sons_of the_king they_have_died if/because (if) ʼAmnōn for_him/it_being_alone he_has_died.
34 and_ ʼAⱱīshālōm _fled and_lifted_up the_young_man the_standing_watch DOM eyes_of_his[fn] and_he/it_saw and_see/lo/see a_people numerous [were]_coming from_road behind_him by_side_of the_mountain.
35 And_ Yōnādāⱱ _he/it_said to the_king there the_sons_of the_king they_have_come according_to_said_of servant_of_your so it_has_happened.
36 And_he/it_was as_soon_as_finished_he to_speaking and_see/lo/see the_sons_of the_king they_came and_lifted_up voices_of_their and_wept and_also the_king and_all servants_of_his they_wept a_weeping a_great very.
37 And_ʼAⱱīshālōm he_fled and_he/it_went to Talimay the_son_of ˊAmmiyḩūr[fn] the_king_of Gəshūr and_mourned on his/its_son all_of the_days.
38 And_ʼAⱱīshālōm he_fled and_he/it_went Gəshūr and_he/it_was there three years.
39 And_ Dāvid _longed the_king to_go_out against ʼAⱱīshālōm if/because he_was_comforted on ʼAmnōn if/because he_had_died.
