22 From _ blood of _ [those]_ slain from _ fat of _ [the]_ mighty_ [ones] the _ bow of _ Yōnātān/(Jonathan) not it _ turned_ back backwards and _ sword of _ Shāʼūl not it _ returned empty .
23 Shāʼūl and _ Yōnātān the _ beloved and _ the _ pleasant in/on/at/with _ life _ their and _ in/on/at/with _ death _ their not they _ were_ separated than _ eagles they _ were_ swift than _ lions they _ were_ strong .
24 Oh _ daughters of _ Yisrāʼēl /(Israel) because _ of Shāʼūl weep the _ clothed _ you _ all scarlet with luxuries the _ put ornament[s] of _ gold on apparel _ your _ all’s .
25 How they _ have_ fallen [the] _ mighty_ [ones] in _ the_ middle the _ battle Yōnātān on high _ places_ your [is] _ slain .
26 It _ is_ distress to _ me for _ you my _ brother/kindred Yōnātān you _ were_ pleasant to/for _ me very it _ was_ wonderful love _ your to _ me more _ than_ love of _ women .
27 How they _ have_ fallen [the] _ mighty_ [ones] and _ perished [the] _ weapons of _ war .
